“This Is Going To Be A Very Difficult Out For Any NFC Team”

October 27th, 2020

“You know Carr, I think your brother is onto something. Maybe that old coot Arians will buy me a drink at Hooters at the Super Bowl? The Hooters Girls dig my m@#$%^*ing ring, you know?”

Yes, the Super Bowl will be played at the Den of Depression in 2021. With social distancing, of course.

David Carr of the NFL Network believes that for the NFC, the road to the Super Bowl goes through the same real estate the Super Bowl will be played on.

After watching lil’ bro Derek Carr get pummeled by the Bucs defense on Sunday, big bro David has let it be known: if you want to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl in February (?), you must go through the Bucs defense to get there.

Carr discussed the Bucs defense on a feature on “Total Access” last night and explained why it’s so good. It’s a combination of a powerful front three, speed at linebacker and an aggressive secondary.

“It is a very good football team,” Carr said. “It is a very good defensive unit. … [The Bucs offense] makes the defense all that much better because now they are fresh. now they are exuberant.”

Carr sort of sounded like Mr. T when he all but pitied a team that has to play the Bucs in the playoffs. He finished his segment all but saying he would lay cash that the Bucs are playing a home game in February (?).

“Why won’t they be in Tampa Bay for the Super Bowl?” Carr asked. “Someone tell me why they won’t be there?”

You can see Carr’s full take in the NFL Network video below.

One game at a time please.

  2. Davenport Buc Says:

Beat the Saints handily and then maybe start talking

  3. zzbuc Says:

Casual Observer….100% with you bro!!!!! There are some reasons to be optimistic…..But that doesn’t mean we should go step by step……Humbles and low profile…..

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Absolutely……one game at a time…

  5. 813bucboi Says:

    on to NYG!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  6. Mitch Says:

Godwin broke his finger and it required surgery. He’s out Monday and potentially against the Saints to

  7. SlyPirate Says:

Davenport … The Saints. I get they’ve owned the NFC South but you’re living in the past. Check the standings. The Saints don’t make the playoffs if they started today. There is a good chance they won’t with the way they are playing.

  8. Bucamania Says:

Godwin hurt again. AB to the rescue!

  9. Swampbuc Says:

If something happens to Tom Brady, or Tristan Wirfs, or Ryan Jensen, or Ali Marpet, or Carlton Davis, or Lavonte David, or Devin White, or Jamel Dean, or Suh or JPP.

Or a cruel combination of the above.

That’s how this season goes south. Very fortunate that the injury bug has hit the deepest units on the team.

  10. Rayjay1122 Says:

I really like Godwin but jeesh the guy is always out injured. That is his biggest flaw.

  11. Cobraboy Says:

Now we know why the Bucs signed AB.

    The WR’s keep getting hurt.

  12. August 1976 Buc Says:

The Saints will be coming down for their Sunday night game, and taken to the woodshed. Like I said before, Sean Payton won’t be slappin anybody on the chest after the game against the Bucs like he did Dirk. BTW did not take long to be reminded about injuries to the WR’s. AB to the rescue. GO BUCS!!!! The NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME GOES THROUGH TAMPA!!!!!!

  13. Gofortheface30 Says:

Someone said low profile *eyeroll.* Don’t be be a candy ass with a candy ass mentality. Let’s not act like the folksy little engine that could ok. We’re a team with big time names and big time super stars. Therefore we’re big time now and going to be in spotlight. Embrace it. Think like a winner.

  14. Fernando Diaz Says:

    That’s what you all think
COVID and the NFL with get the Super Bowl moved

  15. miken Says:

qb has 18 tds and 4 picks and no fumbles…. amazing that leads to a great record

  16. 813bucboi Says:

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

I’m not all in on this superbowl hype as of yet for our Bucs. We have yet proved we can beat the Saints. Projection and trash talk are fine. But the wins are the ultimate trash talk. Half of the season is not even over yet. Brady goes down and our tune changes to, Cry me a River starring Mr Gabbert. So don’t hatch them chickens just yet We got 9 or 10 games left. That’s a lot of pancakes to eat. I’d hate to see us..throw them up.

    You miss him don’t ya?

    I don’t.

I don’t miss any foolish talk of Go Raiders or Green Bay just so he can be proven right. I told him he has to stay away as long as the Bucs are winning. So far he’s been a good boy and just stayed away.

Stay away Realist. Keep watching the games….but you’re not allowed to come back if they’re winning under the “stale biscuit”.

Unless you bring some serious helping of crow!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!(No not Go Giants)
