“That’s Just Not The Reality Of Football”

September 24th, 2020

Tom Brady weighs in

So Tom Brady was asked today about Rob Gronkowski’s comfort in the Bucs offense playing with his good buddy throwing him the rock.

Of course, Brady dropped a lot of clichés, but he did not talk about Gronk being comfortable.

Perhaps what he did say said it all.

“You wish everything would be perfect, that’s just not the reality of football,” Brady said. “There’s too many things to orchestrate. There’s too many moving parts. You just got to figure out ways to win games.”

Joe will translate: I love Gronk but I love winning a lot more. We’ll get him the ball when he’s open and is the best option.

Joe is not worried about Gronk. Maybe he’s a shell of himself, or maybe he’s just shaking off rust and will be dangerous by midseason. Regardless, Joe still thinks Gronk can be an asset if the Bucs make the playoffs.

When has a 10 million dollar waste be considered an “asset”????????????? I would hate to the rest of that portfolio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the sheep were told and warned long ago!!!!!!!!!!!! It time for the much requested “Realist Repost”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The “real” question, is how many games will it take the sheep to “realize” that the Bucs did not get a pro bowl TE but just a “reality” star??????? How many games to figure out he can not run anymore and does not have the heart to be an effective blocker anymore?????????

Some of the sheep will say next offseason, that ” he just needs to be in year two of ole stale biscuit’s offense”!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s time to herd the sheep, and put them back in the pen!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

How can you rationalize that a Gronk that doesn’t perform well in the regular season will, all of the sudden, be a force in the playoffs?

$10 mil & a 4th round pick….when we had capable TEs on the roster…..we should expect some meaningful production.

  4. Mike Johnson Says:

This was a Brady/Arians hire. Gronk has not completed an entire NFL season since 2011. No, its not fake news. Lookit up for yourselves. Gronl is pretty much just a muse for Brady.

  5. ModHairKen Says:

Uhh, that’s not what he said. What he said was what he said because the question was stupid. So, with stupid questions, you answer a different question or talk in circles so as to not create a soundbite.

  6. Defense Rules Says:

Before we shoot that horse or put him out to pasture, consider that Gronk was in on 54 of the 70 snaps in the Saints game (70%) and in on 42 of the 61 snaps against the Panthers. Granted he only has 2 catches (out of 4 targets) for 11 yards, but hey he must be providing something on those other 108 snaps when Brady didn’t throw him the ball.

Concerned though that OJ & Brate & Auclair TOGETHER only have 84 snaps, and only 9 targets between them (all to OJ) with 5 catches for 47 yards. Something seems to be drastically wrong in terms of TE utilization considering how much those 4 TEs are paid.

  7. james west Says:

an extra o lineman blocker, and if he does that well to exceptional, and helps to open it up for leonard and the rest of the boy’s i got no problemo’s especially if he helps keep brady clean

  8. January1979 Says:

Watch tape people. Gronk has not been, as claimed, ineffective as a blocker. He’s also been wide open multiple times and just not been the target of the play. It’s week 3…everyone needs to calm TF down lol

  9. Doug Says:

    Great awnser! Do your job.

  10. Youngbucs Says:

I’ve seen gronk and oj wide open deep Brady is missing them. It actually looks to me like Brady is going through progressions to quickly the are open. Watch some film people stop feeding into the media narratives it’s soap opera drama.

  11. Youngbucs Says:

Side note Mike Evans is open a lot on film even against the aints!!!!!

  12. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Realist don’t act like your some Nostradamus here, you throw feces at a wall here every day and then jump up and down when something sticks.

Uh oh, it’s time for everyone’s least favorite moment, the Rhealist Repost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    0-4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s time to herd the sheep, and put them back in the pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Joe in Michigan Says:

Yes Joe, just win. I don’t care how many catches the TE’s get, how much the TE’s are making, or any of the other nonsense (Such as, the Bucs need to use Player X more, because of where they were drafted. Who cares?). “Just win, baby!”, as Al Davis would say.

  14. Cobraboy Says:

What Brady meant: “Please, leave us alone and let us play the game. This ain’t Madden.”

  15. Joe in Michigan Says:

    Cobraboy: Agreed.

  16. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Finally, we have an article with no mention about JW……and no posters referring to JW…..until now…..OOPS!!!

  17. bucfanforever Says:

JW hasn’t throw a pass to a TE this season

  18. ModHairKen Says:

Well, I was wrong again. The rift between Brady and Gronk is real. Here’s the video that proves it.

  19. BigHog Says:

^^^^ you too YOU PEOPLE MOVEMENT MEMBERS need to take an a x pill and fumble each other…HENNY AND HOG…get yo-self some!!!

  20. Jeagan1999 Says:

Gronk will be fine and catch his fair share of balls. But the dude has been out of football for a while and he needs time to get back into proper football shape and to reestablish his timing with TB12. Give him a few more weeks and Gronk will be catching 3-4 passes a game and contributing a lot more than he is now.

  21. WhoCares Says:

Value is not always base on production. Example, look at the management of most business.

With that, consider Gronk park of team management and maybe you wont be so concerned about his production. Beatch all you want about his pay. But respect him you must.

Alsi, stop feeding the trolls. We are the 12th man, we will challenge Father Time. We must set the tone for OUR team. Let the boss boss while we stay focused no matter if we won or lost

  22. SufferingSince76 Says:

Does anyone know what the heck the resident racist said up above?

  23. Craig Says:

Gronk is still not in football shape. He had a year off and no pre-season. He is in shape enough to block and spend the night in an ice bath.

He’ll get a little closer every week and one day he will break through and be worth all that money, especially if it is in the playoffs.
