New Besties!

September 4th, 2020

“Jason, I think we are seeing the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Now where’s my scotch? It’s Friday, damnit.”

This is so good Joe may kick off his three-day weekend with ice cold Bromosas from Big Storm Brewing earlier than expected.

New Bucs running back Leonard Fournette’s agency capture video this morning of Fournette meeting park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady as the Bucs are about to launch the drive to the playoffs. And beyond.

Enjoy!

    Freakin hilarious!

  2. Ndog Says:

So let’s get this straight the Bucs have replaced their starting running back, their third down back, their right tackle, they’re starting tight end and their kicker.

Aren’t these all the exact positions that somebody on this page was referring to all year long as major problems with the running game and with the kicking game yet some other player was constantly blamed for every single thing that went wrong.

Isn’t it interesting that in one off season this team could fix all those problems yet they haven’t been able to fix them for the past five years?

    Interesting isn’t it?

  3. Sport Says:

Lost Dog. Very observant of you. You forgot one of the most important pieces that was correctly replaced. Can you not see the glaring blind spot in your own analysis?

Nope, I already know the axiom… you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. That goes for you and the checkered histrory of our previous QB.

    Go Bucs!!!

  4. Steven007 Says:

Sport, he’s out of original thoughts. He’s pasted the same comment in three posts now. Very original.

  5. Sport Says:

Lost Dog, Did you also see he said ‘and a great coach’? You know the 2 time NFL Coach of the year. But you do you…

  6. Captain Stagger Says:

Seems you forget to mention the team replaced the real problem the last 5 years as well.

  7. Joe in Michigan Says:

Here the Bucs are loading up for a possible run at the playoffs, and all Ndog can talk about is either the team last year, or how the Bucs won’t be any good in the future. Does this sound like a real Bucs fan? I guess the Saints fans rejected him because his favorite player is a third stringer?

  8. Godlovesbucs Says:

    Ndog,

They have tried to fix all those problems for the last 5 years. This is no different. And just because they made a change doesnt mean it is fixed. Kicker is an example of that. 5 in the last 5 years. Since martin you have had many different rbs in the mix, trying to fix that. They have drafted 3 tackles in the last 5 years. 1 is gone, 1 is a guard and 1 should replace demar this year, barring injury. Brate was replaced by oj, and gronk is added. To say they havent fixed those positions its not because there isnt effort and resources.

  9. Ndog Says:

Yes the only positive part of the team the past 5 years has been the passing game but you think the real problem was a quarterback classic!!

So let me ask you this smart guys, do you guys honestly believe the running game was good, do you guys think the kicker was good, do you guys the defense was good, how about you answer those questions and then get back to me.

    Factually inaccurate!

    In the past 5 years:

They have not one time signed a veteran running back. Went with Peyton Barber?
They have not one time sign a veteran third down running back that had any sort of quality resume that can both catch and pass block. Went with Dare?
They have not one time drafted a first round offensive lineman.
They have not one time signed a veteran run blocking tight end.

    DUH!!!!

On this team we will never know because Tom Brady has a running game and an elite TE in a completely different offense than Jameis Winston had to run so we’ll never know will we.

Ndog get a life post the same comment every article 🤡

  16. Casual Observer Says:

Agree with Jaymisss – Great video!

  17. Youngbucs Says:

The Bucs have a completely new offense that’s new to me smh. The excuses these guys make are so weak.

  18. Gettinthebucs Says:

Jameis gotta be looking at the bucs like😐. They gave good buddy a dumpster juice backfield. I really would have liked to see the bucs put more around winston like they are doing for Brady. Not saying the head scratching decisions go away but it definitely would have made us a better team.

  19. Youngbucs Says:

You know why it so funny because they make all these excuses. But don’t think winston has to get better individually it’s baffling to be that silly. His gm is flawed he ask to fix it thts the truth cult followers wont acknowledge!!!!!

  20. vic robertson Says:

Ive been a bucs fan since i was a kid. ive seen alot of bad with the team and some good-tho the good has fallen short. Wat we are seeing this off season is known as the brady effect. when he signed with tb, what happened nedt was a direct result of organization seeing that players would come because of his impact. who really cares what has happened in the past? I sure as hell dont. We are loaded! our defense is hugely under rated-just look at the last 5 games, as pen wielding, beer drinking, joe has previuosly touched on.the defense stepped up last 5 games. As a bucs fan i refuse to entertain the media or any naysaying doom and gloom fan who just wants to complain.
    “chicks dig scars-Glory lasts forever!”

  21. mark2001 Says:

Joe…don’t drink them all. Save a Bromosa for me.

That being said, amazing that some guys think Arians is some stale biscuit, when many players in the league recognize him as a top notch coach and a guy they are looking forward to play for.

Seems to be some disconnect between some fans perceptions and the player perspective.

And regarding the Jameis factor. No matter how well you played, Jameis could at any given time, turn into Mr. Hyde act and throw it all away, no matter how hard you played and how well you did your job. A successful team just can’t live with that. It is demoralizing. And as it only takes one of those during the playoffs and the season is over. It is almost impossible to deal with positively.

  22. Youngbucs Says:

Put names around winston will not change his decision making he has to do that. I’m done talking about now y’all some straight losers. And I know why y’all worship a loser.

  23. Youngbucs Says:

Vic that’s what they don’t understand nobody rolling over to play with Winston. Fournette had offers from playoff teams he chose us. No way he does that if winston is the QB!!!!!’

  24. Anonymous Says:

What Ndog and other numbskulls fail to realize is that with Winsnone at the helm there was no chance to attract these marquis free agents, let alone keep some of our better players that were free agents at the end of last year. It is a totally different level of attraction with captain Brady, players know there is a real chance to make a Superbowl run!

  25. Ndog Says:

If these things weren’t needed why are they getting them for Tom Brady?

What you people don’t seem to understand is it’s called situational football and if every situation is the same where the other teams knows what you’re going to do it makes the opportunity for errors far more likely from the quarterback position because they know what’s coming.

If that wasn’t the case again why are they going out and making sure they fortify the line for Brady and give him a good running game? Why is that, oh cuz it must be important but for some reason it was an important for the previous quarterback.

    Weird right……..?

  26. vic robertson Says:

youngbucs-anyone that brings up winston forgets a few things- 1. winston is a fast talker, says what everyone wants to hear.2. he has an arm an athleticsm. 3.Football is not a 1 man show- with jameis it usually was. who cares that he threw for 5 grand. 6 pick sixes cost us a playoff spot. we gotta coach who wasnt bout to have a quarterback do that again. winston was not a leader. can we expect our new qb to grope an uber driver? hell no! is our qb a 1 man show? definitely not. if winston was so great- he wouldnt have had to settle for a back up job. true buc fans rejoice!! we have a solid offense-and i assure you our defense is solid-more than what people are seeing- but dont fret team- our enemies shall soon see the light. and naysayers be damned

  27. Will Says:

Dog I was a huge fan of Jameis. The reason he isn’t here is because Brady became available and Winston couldn’t stop throwing Interceptions. I truly believe that if Brady had stayed with NE Jameis would be here. Then I’m not sure if the things going on with this team would be happening. I don’t care if it only gets us 2yrs of winning I’m tired of losing and hoping next year is better. This is the best roster we’ve had in a very long time and I pray it works. Get on board and enjoy this stop all the bickering because you might miss a special season.

  28. Cannon Says:

Ndog, Arians first year was very much a “let’s see what we can do with this roster” type of thing.

After the season ended, he determined that he needed (in no particular order)

    1. A better Right Tackle
    2. A better QB
    3. A better Safety
    4. A better RB

So, he went and got them.

  43. SmoothBayRider Says:

Also @Ndog . As far as the passing game being the only bright spot over the last five years. I’ll say this , that passing game has been the strongest part of this team . And you wanna know when in the last 5 years that he passing game was at its brightest and most efficient ? It was when Ryan Fitzpatrick was under center.

Also , Doug Martin made a pro bowl and rushed for 1400 yards in 2015. I guess that wasn’t a bright spot .

  44. Ndog Says:

What astonishes me is that the fact that he is trying to build this franchise to win right now for his personal gain only and in the process driving it straight into the ground to the point where we’re going to be horrible for the next decade plus doesn’t seem to bother anyone but me. Of course I want to win of course I want to win the Superbowl its the ultimate goal but not at the price of being horrible for the next decade plus.

News flash we just did that, but in that case it was different and worth it because our own players were getting old and we had seen their entire career come and almost go with no reward and getting them over the hump with the last ditch effort of getting Gruden and giving up the future was worth it.

But again that was after 6-7 years of being a really good team, in this instance we’ve not been a really good team so getting something actually going to be sustainable should be the goal not a one-hit wonder which is the best case scenario here is a one-hit wonder. Now just imagine if it doesn’t work the damage is going to done long-term So let’s say we don’t win it then we’re horrible for the next decade that would put us at almost 30 years of being putrid sorry not a big fan of that, but apparently I’m the only one.

  45. AKicknTheBucNuts Says:

Does anyone believe Gronk would be here if JW was still QB?

Does anyone believe Fournette would be here if the human interception machine was still QB?

    What about Shady?

The point is…all this “fixing” is because Brady is here and people WANT to play here because of that. NO ONE wanted to come to Tampa to watch games thrown away.

So, without Brady, there is no “building a better running back group” no one would have come to Tampa.

No reason to compare JW with what we have now because if JW was still here we wouldn’t have it.

  46. Marine Buc Says:

    Ndog

I am a firm believer if you take away a trolls energy he/she will wither away and die.

  48. Bucsfanman Says:

In an attempt to regain the post, REAL BUC fans have to be excited about THIS team THIS year! The additions through the draft and FA are absolutely bananas.
It has been a Fanman dream to get a competent power-back to bolster our abysmal running game for years.

If I’m the opposing DC, how do I gameplan the Bucs?
8 in the box? Hmm, I think Brady probably has something for that.
2 TEs? Cover both and get gashed?
1 on 1 with WRs? Good luck.

See where I’m going with this?!

No not a miracle BucFanDuh but we are expecting our franchise QB to not give the game away with ridiculously bad interceptions when the defense was AWESOME, the oline gave him time and the running game actually had a pluse. I am a huge Jameis supporter but I never BS, he was THE issue yesterday and yes we would have won if he just did his job, period end of discussion.

    AGAIN NMUTT!!!!!!!!

the second half of the year the TEAM turned it around!!!!!!!…your QB shat the bed!!!!!!!!

    period!!!!..end of discussion!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  53. Will Says:

Dog. How do you believe that? We’ve got young guys starting all over the place. If Barrett has a good year we’ll be able to build the Dline behind him Vita, Gholston, we’ll see what we have in Nelson this year. Sounds like Nacho had a great camp so maybe when Suh leaves he can step in there or continue to rotate with Vea and we’ll need to find a replacement for Suh.
Offense sure we’ll need a QB in 2yrs I’m still wondering what we’ve got in Ryan Griffin this is his 3rd coach and he’s still here. Maybe just maybe he’s got something and will be the guy when Brady is gone. WR we’re set but will need to make a decision soon because I can’t see Mike and Godwin both being on the roster in a few years. If it happens good but one of those guys will be traded for picks in my opinion. Oline is young with the exception of Jensen. TE is a loaded position and if OJ turns the corner this year we’re set there for years. RB we now have a nice stable and both Rojo and Fournette will be playing for their next contract so that competition can only help us. Where do you see us being set back for decades?
Heck if we can’t find a replacement in the draft for Brady there’s a proven guy in Green Bay who will be looking for a new place to call home. I think this roster is being setup nicely for the future.

  54. jerk04 Says:

Pup you still refuse to answer my question. Its a simple one. If Winston is who you say he is why didnt one other team sign him as a starter or one other team sign him as the primary back up??? Still waiting. I know i know its all Arians fault. Let me know when you have the balls to answer and whatever you try and come up with try and keep a straight face as you type it, but we know you cant answer it???

You keep saying the same tired crap that everybody has owned you on with their responses. Get some new material or follow through on your promise to leave..

Get the balls to answer the question let me know.

  55. Ndog Says:

jerk04 it’s simple where was he going to go that was good for him?

    Jacksonville um no.

    Washington um no.

Charges wanted to draft a QB and have $ control for 5 years.

Colts went with a player they were familiar with that has ran their offense the past. Plus they wanted a young QB with $ control behind Rivers.

Chicago wanted to give Mitch T one more chance AND bring in a player that again has ran their system.

New England clearly is focusing on a ball control defensive game plan so why go get a prolific passer?

Panthers I guess preferred to just sign a bum instead of a real QB cause their not very good at their jobs.

The rest of the teams were either set at QB or just invested in a young guy.

Then lastly yes it does hurt your marketability when your head coach is constantly throwing you under the bus and acting like this team was perfect besides the QB.

  56. Steven007 Says:

There is no way a coach can throw a turnover machine under the bus. He threw himself under the bus. Simple as that.

  57. Bucsfanman Says:

“Preferred to sign a bum over a real QB”! LOL!
“Prolific passer”?! But to which team?!

Glazers have some kind of scheme going on. They want to be the 1st franchise to win a SB in their home stadium. That part is awesome. The part that worries Howard is what happens after that.

    Last season:
Saints at Seahawks: Bridgewater 19/27, 277 yards 2 TDs, 0 INTs (Win)

    Last season:
Bucs at Seahawks: Winston 29/44, 355 yards 2 TDs, 0 INTs (Lost)

What’s the difference here besides one player accounting for more yards?

The Saints defense did not allow 40 POINTS and the Saints had a punt return for a TD.

And oh yeah they STILL scored less total points than the Jameis Winston led Bucs scored in Seattle.

Yeah so he showed he could win, Ok.

It’s called a team game, NEXT!!!!

  67. Howard Cosell Says:

Or, on a more positive note, the numbnut siblings finally hired a good coach in Arians, and finally allowed him to work his magic….and got very lucky that the GOAT was available and wanted to come here.

Howard is saying that the Glazers are doing this to be the 1st team to win a SB at home WHICH IS AWESOME!!

    _______

You stated that the Glazers let the team languish for 12 years so they could have a shot a being the first team to win in their own stadium….. yet they didn’t find out they were going to host it until 2017?

How can you not understand that the numbers don’t support your statement?

  71. Godlovesbucs Says:

Or maybe the only reason they could get big name fa’s at a fair price is beacuse of brady??? They have been trying, but have had to overpay for average at best talent cause of the culture that was here after gruden got fired.

  72. Howard Cosell Says:

You misunderstood Howard, or more likely you’re intentionally misunderstanding Howard because you don’t like some of the previous pseudo-political posts.

The languishing for 12 years has nothing to do with winning the SB at home.
Howard is saying that if they can build a team like this now, then why didn’t they do it 12 years ago?…or at least try harder.

The scheme is to use the superbowl win for some future demand.

Saying they intentionally lost for 12 years just to win this year makes no sense at all to anyone. You have a vivid imagination

  73. Va buc Says:

  75. Howard Cosell Says:

Actaully…the “good Glazers” started with hiring Arians, who is a great coach…and then Arians was lucky enough to get Brady. Then it all snowballed from there

Hilarious to watch this guy defend Winston. The Seahawks game? Really? You pick the statistical outlier to represent a season in which we saw him mentally melt down game after game. The man threw 30 picks. He reliably makes poor decisions on and off the field and is now holding a clip board for vet minimum. He will be out of the league this time next year, not because of personnel, not because of what a coach said about him, but because he is a bonehead.

I had to remind myself of the trolling that is done by a few here:

Trolling – (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll – noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument.

come on boys, let npuppy talk about how well jw did during the jags, seahawks, saints and panthers game.

4 games where jw did throw a single int.

so that leaves 12 games where he threw 30 ints, 7 of them being pick 6’s. that averages 2.5 ints a game along and that isnt even counting any fumbling.

let NPUPPY cherry pick his stats bc what is left over outweighs the good that he cherry picked.

I doubt Joe lets this ride but funny nonetheless.

“This is the problem with people nowadays if you don’t simply agree with them you’re a troll or you’re an idiot or dumb how about the fact that I don’t agree with you and you don’t agree with me and that’s fine either way”?

Are you serious? You are THE worst offender of the very behavior you complain about. You constantly call people dumb and stupid, how they know nothing about football and you are arbiter of all fact and truth.

@NDOG – JW HATER’s are focused on TO’s, which is fair is some respects. Haters are ignoring reality (2019) that opposing teams knew that Peyton Barber was only capable of either negative 2 yd or positive 1 yd gain, since the box was stacked knowing Bucs had ZERO running threat. Duh! I mean, Peyton Barber is a threat, right? Ah – NO. And Junior Varsity D for first 10 games.

BL/BA put the onus on JW to manufacture points, absent of real Running game. And OJ’s juggling hands did not help build confidence, meaning JW focused on his reliable WR’s > ME13 and Godwin.

JW forced too many passes to players he believed in, as any QB will do, including the messiah Tom Brady.

Moving on to 2020, Brady has every benefit afforded for any starting QB. Not to mention a 20 veteran.

BA and JL have sold out to win a SB in 2020 – not for Bucs long-term future, but for their personal short-term reasons, which happen to dovetail to a SB win.

The Bucs are stacked – to win – this year. No Excuses!

Yall listen football is a team sport that’s why we brought in 4 runningbacks and we just cut the kicker and we brought drafted a RT in the first round . I think what a lot of us is saying that the bucs didn’t do the same for Jamies . Wich means they failed Jamies not Jamies failing the team . And I know yall don’t want to amid it but it’s true . Now it seems like they are trying everything to be a balance offense but when we had Jamies it wasn’t no such thing as being balance on offense everything was on him . Jamies had to throw 45 times a game . And now that we have Brady and because he suck last Sunday we brought in another runningback wich means Brady will not be throwing 45 times a game and that’s cool with me because I believe no quarterback should be throwing that many times a game regardless who the quarterback is . We have to remember that when the next young quarterback comes in . Remember it’s a team sport not a individual sport it takes a hold team to win 1 game . Rogers had 35 touchdowns and 5 interceptions and they still didn’t make the playoffs because of the TEAM !!! Go Bucs …..
