Four More Interceptions For Jameis

November 17th, 2019

So who is to blame for the four picks today by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston?

There will be plenty of chatter about that this week from Bucs fandom far and wide. It appears (without the benefit of All-22 film review) three of four were on the QB. That just can’t happen — especially at home.

The first pick was all on O.J. Howard but the second at the Saints’ 16 yard line to end the second half was crushing with the Bucs trailing 20-7.

Jameis backers love to say No. 3 approaching 100 career turnovers and racking up stunning interception totals is about having a lot of bad luck. Joe can’t go there. This is who Jameis is, one of the most inconsistent starting quarterbacks in NFL history through through the first five seasons of a career. Big highs and big lows — with few wins.

This was a complete loss by the Bucs — all phases. But Jameis is the guy under the highest-powered microscope, and it was a day that will leave a lot of Bucs fans wondering about his future for another week.

Up next, a suddenly revitalized Falcons secondary.

Under no circumstances should the Bucs resign this guy!

  2. Stevek Says:

Time to cut bait. Too much losing. The excuses are going got be rich.

  3. SteelStudBuc Says:

    Ryan Griffin please!

  4. Stevek Says:

Losses and turnover mar the last five seasons.

  5. Buc believer Says:

Who gives a $&@/! We suck and will always suck until Licht and the Glazers and Bucco Bruce are gone.

  6. BuccoBrucey Says:

how many multi-interception games do we need to see before we realize the guy isn’t the answer? I know we have a lot of noles fans around that refuse to see it, but come the hell on. it’s a broken record. Same thing every year. a good game or two, a horrible game or three. can’t win with a QB like that. you need to be able to count on a guy. Jameis cannot be counted on with confidence

  7. Rick Says:

He may start the rest of the season, but i think the whole organization knows changes must be made.

  8. Petty Officer Buc Says:

Highs and Lows are fun when you’re on a roller coaster. It’s not fun when you’re on a plane flight to London over the Atlantic. You need to stay high to reach the destination. You can even stay average just stay consistent the entire flight.

The playoffs are the destination for this team and too often we fly into the ground because of our “Highs and Lows”

  9. WalkdaPlank Says:

Amazing that after 5 years people still think this guy is the answer.

Perhaps 5 more years and then Jameis will turn the corner?

    What a joke

  10. Stevek Says:

    Can’t take all this losing.

  11. Bird Says:

    he is good and terrible

    Done and done
    Not his fault

    Ndog will tell yah
    Tplaxacon said best player ever

    Dbss- holler at your boy

  12. Jean Lafitte Says:

over/under for Jameis turnovers next week?

  13. firethecannons Says:

We need a Jameis confidence poll along with coach poll and along with GM poll!
Arians thinks Jameis has only 10 int on the season! are you kidding me! No Matter what he is more than other qb out there–he is no help to this team!

  14. BrianBucs Says:

Time for Arians to blame everybody else for Winston’s failures.

    #DontBlameJameis

  15. Zzbuc Says:

Well ….. sooner or later Joe u have to stop defendíng JW !! There is plenty of evidence he is not the present and will beber be the future…… to Many mistakes.
I know refs sucked today, I know coaches are below expectations, we all know secondary is ver bad!!
But that doesn’t maie JW a good qb because he ain’t!!

  16. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Joe it would help if we didn’t have a bipolar Joe who goes both ways and just showed consistency on who they were for. Support your team or go down with the ship! There is no choice!

  17. Josh Brown Says:

    Is Josh Freeman available?

  18. SteelStudBuc Says:

Kudos to Jameis getting that 5th year option money. Solid retirement nest egg back home in Alabama.

Too bad about those settlements with the ladies though…
Seen enough of this guy… time to say, “BYE! BYE!”

  19. Miller5252 Says:

If Tampa doesn’t blow it up and start over this is just gonna keep happening. Even if they don’t blow it up, how can you pay Winston and build a team???

  20. Show me the TDs Says:

From this day forward there should be only one response to the Jameis defenders…STFU!!

  21. Josh Brown Says:

    Kap?

  22. Jean Lafitte Says:

    lol @ I’m tired

  23. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Look I’m not saying Jamie’s had a great game but I’m also not going to be naive to the fact that every but Jameis put us in the hole. It is hard to come back for any QB front hat deficit. We should be asking ourselves why again did we draft a TE when we had Brate?

  24. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    I went for a walk missed the 4th quarter…

  25. Easy Says:

Time to start over. The Winston experiment is finished. I can think of any other QB in NFL history that’s had this many chances thru his first 5 years and still keeps his job.

  26. Bird Says:

Im tired and 87 is right

You realize there a 2 joes

Logical joe is realistic. He wrote this

The other is like you . Jamies butt cheeks are tight
    You look terrible

  27. Pete I Says:

Jameis ” meaningless stats ” Winston America’s QB has 98 turnovers.

    24-40

Winston’s next turnover will be his 99th!

    Amazing

  28. AwShbucs Says:

12 is the far more important number of this game. And that’s the amount of times Jameis was hit today. 12 hits.

The Oline got manhandled today. Just like always do vs Cam Jordan and the Saints.

3 out of 4 picks today weren’t on Jameis. If you disagree with that statement you either didnt watch the game or just flat out dont know football.

Also this may have been the worst performance I’ve ever personally witnessed by an NFL officiating crew. Bad refs are ruining the game.

  29. SC Bucs Fan Says:

You wanted the team tank Joe. They don’t have to as long as they keep running your mancrush out there. He will turn it over as sure as the sun will rise.

  30. Bird Says:

4 pick QBs are the best we can do

    You guys are a joke

  31. Sharthappens Says:

Wow Joe. You giving up on your man crush. Now start to ask some thought questions at the press conferences. Play pretend and you can do it. Pretend your Jim Acosta and Arians is Trump.

  32. Jean Lafitte Says:

    Kap 👎 Griffin 👍

  33. 541BucsFan Says:

The “Who’s fault was the INT?” DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!

You would have to adjust every QB’s INTs to make that stat matter. If you did that JW would still have the most picks.

  34. LEEC Says:

What is Blaine Gabbert’s status? Is his shoulder healed? Can’t he be brought back?

  35. It’s a bucs life Says:

Time to google upcoming qb draft prospects. Although it will just a pipe dream. This organization embraces losing so they will probably sign Winston to a long term contract, ensuring losing for another decade.

  36. Buc50 Says:

@Josh I would love to take a look at Kap. Even though the first int was not his fault, I’m ready to le Jameis go.

  37. JimmyJack Says:

Four INTs is the least of our problems from today. We still get blown out without them. QB could do little to save this game from being lopsided. Almost all them turnovers didn’t impact the game. They were in desperation moments.

The one turnover that really impacted the game doesn’t happen if our TE is as good as all y’all claim. OJ is a freaking stiff and does more to hurt the team then help us. 2nd awful game of the year for this overrated guy…….the rest of the games he was a basic no-show.

  38. Cubano Bucanero Says:

We’ll never win with him. Time to move on.

  39. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Thought arians was brought in to fix this? Jameis has HAD ONE good season & that was his heisman year at fsu; the rest has been the crap that has shown up in tampa the past 5 years

  40. Bird Says:

    100 trunoverz

    He great

  41. Miller5252 Says:

Every time this team plays a good D they just fall apart. I’m ready to blow it up and start over. From the top down let the reset start now.

  42. Stevek Says:

We def need to be looking at the QB position. Too many turnovers to win. Impossible to overcome.

  43. BucsBandit Says:

    #BENCHWINSTON

  44. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Bird you do realize we give up the booty about 31 times a game? Minus the pick six at the end of the game trying to come back that would be about 25 points to be fair. We lose the game due to our o line and defense. Jameis will be back next year for I’m not worried about that. Just trying to change the culture.

  45. Pelbuc61 Says:

I think Bucs have past the point of considering whether JW is the answer. Clearly, he’s not but the truly sad part for us fans is that the the Glazers have conspired with Licht and BA to keep him despite the obvious incompetence of all involved. The stupidity and arrogance of having 4 yrs of tape and Licht conning the fans that BA is the answer to all of JW’s flaws and the secret signing of the Licht extension. Hell, the Bucs could draft a rookie in the 3D round to throw 4 ints per game and still have enough draft capital to address Oline, Dline and secondary if only they had a competent GM.

  46. JameisNOT Says:

I’m back. I have been right all along.

  47. Bird Says:

    Jimmy jack

    Cmon bro
You keep living in fantasy world
    Jameis aint the guy

  48. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

There is no logical scenario to retain this groping interception machine. Please jettison Lichtmyballs and Jay Miss!

  49. Pete I Says:

The record book doesn’t care whose fault the 98 turnovers were. They are hard numbers next to Jameis ” meaningless stats ” Winston America’s QB’S name.

  50. Bird Says:

    87

And when we win you make sure to co gradulate winston
When we lose , look the other direction

    I can throw 4 picks

Let it go. But you wont. Go noles

  51. Bucs_Fan_Orlando Says:

    Pay the man.

Give him 25 million a year on pace with all the top QBs.

Then build in a 1 million per Int penalty.

Since he averages 20 a year hell make 5 million and be a steal.

  52. Reedo Says:

A fish rots from the head down. Sell the team or hire a competent head of football operations.

  53. Bucs 14 Says:

Cut Winston just like they did VH3. Let Ryan Griffin take a shot. Can it get any worse Bruce?

  54. Stevek Says:

    Can’t pay top
Dollar for the most turnovers ever.

  55. BucsBandit Says:

    ANYONE ELSE GET THIS IRONY…

That Winston’s Twitter handle is “JABOOWINS” ???

    LOL.

That should be illegal for him to include “wins” in anything he does now.

  56. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Sure the picks really hurt us……but this game was lost by the Oline & Dline……we were manhandled.

  57. Buc Wild Says:

No way this guy can be QB of the Bucs next year.

  58. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

The irony in all of this is you all think your opinion matters. Remember we hired an ex QB coach to tell the truth. Arians will let the Glazers know the reality and for once as a Buc fan I will be able to tell you all I told you so when we truly have a good defense and o line. I’m a diehard fan like some of you but trust me Most of you don’t know crap about footy and probably never played.

  59. 813bucboi Says:

    JW backers will say

    Int#1 was on OJ…I agree

    Int#2 was on the O-Line

    Int#3 was on the WR

    Int#4 was on Jensen

    Lol…it’s never his fault

    GO BUCS

  60. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

BA and Licht should do with him as they did with Hargreaves III

  61. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

813 you live for misery? Go pat yourself on the back big man!

  62. D-Rome Says:

He was hurt in the 4th. He should have sat in favor of Griffin when he hurt his ankle. Nothing to be gained by playing him hurt. By continuing to play him it becomes more about the message sent to fans about the QB than making the right decision.

  63. Kobe Faker Says:

“Klueless Koetter going to drop a +45 on QB Whimperer, Backstabbing Gump and the Glazer boyband

    47-21

Let Jameis go. He is getting worse under BA/BL twins

    In the name of Jaboo”

    Kobe Faker

  64. BuccoBrucey Says:

He just needs more time, guys. Year 6 is when it will all start to come together

  65. BucsBandit Says:

    D-Rome,

EXACTLY. It was absolutely ABSURD that Arians kept Winston in the game to avoid Griffin getting a chance… especially with the team down by 3 scores AND Winston tweaking his ankle.

    SERIOUSLY???

  66. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Footy I meant football!!!! Sorry I’m irked by the way this game started…I’m tired of all you!

  67. Tye Says:

He’s a lame horse… He is never going to win!

65+ games and your still undecided.. you’re not good at evaluating talent..that is obvious…
Liking a guy and wanting him to be your QB no matter how bad he sucks, you’ll stay a loser!

Winston is a square peg people are trying to jam in a round hole… He will NEVEr fit, ever!

  68. Troy Says:

None of these interceptions were Jay-Miss’ fault. The bad man defensive players put pressure on Jay-Miss and forced him to throw the ball in a way that he didn’t want to. LMAO! Love seeing JEM(Jay-Miss Excuse Machine) try to make excuses for Jay-Miss’ extremely poor play.

  69. D-Rome Says:

The irony in all of this is you all think your opinion matters.

It does matter. The Bucs pay attention to what the fans say online, but especially when there are so many empty seats in the stadium. The fans’ opinion in that regard is being heard loud and clear.

  70. Little Bo Peep 🤡❗️ Says:

Welcome to “ THE JAMEIS WINSTON EXPERIENCE 🤡❗️“ Bucs Fans remind me of “ A Wackomole Game 🤡❓” Watch the Bucs loose every week, Get drunk, Know the Bucs are a poorly coached team, and listen to Ronnie “Night Train” Lane’s dribble on the post game show on the Bucs Radio Network 😀❗️Queston for the great Ira Kaufman ❓When was the last time an NFL Team Ran for a total OF EIGHT TIMES RUSHING FOR THE ENTIRE GAME IN A NFL GAME AND WON ❓NEVER ❓THATS WHAT THE THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS DID TODAY vs New Orleans. The 2019 NFL Regular Season ends in 42 Days ❗️Only 42 more days to watch The Jameis Winston Experience And only 42 more days for NDOG to tell the masses that Jameis Winston is the greatest QB in NFL
    History 🤡❗️

  71. stpetebucsfan Says:

It is what it is!!! I like JW but I’m ready to toss in the towel.

The second int was one of his tiny hands throws…wobbly all the way. The one to ME13 was on Mike…sort of…it was a HORRID throw but ME usually bails JW out….much as Godwin did turning another horrid throw into a TD. We always talk about JW’s bad luck but we seem to never point out his good fortune…two of the best WR’s in the league.

And stop with the Peyton Manning comparisons! Not just because JW won’t even get to an SB much less win two…but because the stats are not even…Manning had a huge amount of ints his first year that unbalances his “five year” total.

JW cannot spin the ball..again tiny hands…MG8 threw a much better ball. NO I’m not saying JW is not as good as MG8…simply saying that JW does not throw a good ball..he very rarely has a truly tight spin…the toss to Scotty was the rare exception….and his targets frequently have to make heroic catches…again he’s been fortunate to have ME and Godwin.

  72. Cubano Bucanero Says:

If you bring Jameis back you lose the entire city.

  73. Pewter power Says:

It’s all Winston’s fault we lost this damn it doesn’t matter if no quarterback back can thrive with zero running game or in kind of decent offensive line. Under constant pressure every single time you drop back is no excuse doesnt matter that this look like the exact same game the first time they met or that the coaches didn’t seem to learn from the first arse whopping. How dare you throw interceptions under constant pressure. He did make some dumb throws though, it’s like he decides before he snaps the ball he will throw to a certain receiver no matter what.

  74. crazyBucs_CL Says:

    @Buc believer Says:
“Who gives a $&@/! We suck and will always suck until Licht and the Glazers and Bucco Bruce are gone.”

    That’s it.
We have very uncapable, very lack of football knowledge owners. unless they leave the football to a president or CEO, we NEVER in this city will enjoy Sundays football …

    BA = LovieS 2.0

  75. Ndog Says:

51 passes 6 rushing attempts by the running backs. What do you expect to happen? The reason they try to disguise things is so they other team doesn’t know what’s coming. Hi I think they might have known what coming.

Please cut him it’s the only way these people are going to understand it’s not the QB it’s team entire team.

  76. DaBux Says:

Might as well have made Willie Taggart the head coach. This team is done. Stick a fork in them.

  77. JimmyJack Says:

Bird maybe I am………Just got so many problems from today’s game. QB just aren’t high on my list today.

Don’t know what y’all expect any QB to do today with so much poor play and an entire team wildly under prepared.

Personally I’m not worried about desperation turnovers in a game that we got blown out in all phases. The quality of team play has me much more concerned then desperation play failures…,……but that’s just me.

  78. Noel Bello Says:

This organization continues to be the laughing stock if NFL, Jake Fromm or Joe burrow can change the tide, I feel for Jameis but he is simply not the face of any franchise, much less a starting quarterback.

  79. Denjoe Says:

HE STARES DOWN HIS RECEIVERS!!! It actually could have been worse. that being said i’d rather see Jason idiot Licht go first.

  80. Buccfan37 Says:

The Saints set the tone early and never let up. Have to give them credit for a thorough ass whipping.

  81. Petty Officer Buc Says:

If the Glazers read this, my broke ass will personally go to every Bucs home game for the rest of the season if Griffin is named the starter.

  82. JimmyJack Says:

The INTs were not the biggest problem from today and they were far from in. So many other bigger issues today then what happened in desperation time.

A better team gives us much more favorable opportunities then being desperate and in must score or lose situations.

  83. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

N dog while I understand how you feel as fans we should never give up. Even if the walls cave in on us we leap from the pile of misery. I will never give up and I will back this team until I die! Go Bucs!

  84. gotbbucs Says:

Who’s fault is it this week? Godwin? It’s a miracle that he was able to catch his TD pass and get any YAC, let alone turn it into a TD. Evans? All he’s done throughout his college and pro career is catch 50/50 balls and make subpar QBs look good.

Arians will have an excuse, and someone other than Winston will get drug through the mud.

  85. JimmyJack Says:

The way the team played today is just not how you beat a good football team.

Y’all must learn that when you get blowed the freak out like we did today pointing a finger to one player is totally niave and completely inaccurate.

No one player causes a blowout and no single player can save you from one. Well over a dozen players and coaches to blame for this spitshow today. Blaming any less then that is just flat wrong.

  86. T REX Says:

Jameis sucks. If you disagree you are now an enemy of this franchise. We do not need you. Please report to your next favorite team. We need to start getting on the Glazers. We DEMAND better. We deman that Winston be cut. We demand more. If not, that stadium will be empty next year. Empty. I wouldn’t borrow a nickel to give to that team. Total organization failure.

    It’s time to nuke it.

  87. I’m a Tandyman used to be Bucs Fan Says:

I’m for seeing if Griffin can throw 4 in one game!! If he can put Jay Miss back in the following week and let him go for the record of most interceptions in one season!! Then fire Lycht!!👍🏈🏈

  88. Cobraboy Says:

Joe Burrow would look good in Pewter & Red.

This s#!t gets old. And exhausting.

Save the $25+ million, get a new rook QB, trade-up if necessary, and spend the difference elsewhere.

  89. Hodad Says:

The fish rots from the head down.

  90. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Even Johnnie Cockran is looking for a plea deal to get off this defense of Jamyth

  91. Denjoe Says:

Demand that idiot licht gets fired!

  92. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

T Rex not going anywhere so it will take more then that. You know how many Jameis supporters actually show up to the games? Maybe you should take the time to figure that out before you act like you are the norm.

  93. Cobraboy Says:

I would like to see what Griffin has in the tank.

Maybe Winston got beaten up enough as an excuse for a week off.

  94. BucsBandit Says:

    100% T-REX!

Anyone that roots for Jameis to be resigned by this team is an ENEMY OF THE FRANCHISE.

    Plain and simple.

  95. Doug Says:

    Koetter wasn’t that bad!

  96. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

I have supported Jameis for a long time. I was all in for him from the time we got the #1 pick. I even was praying for us to lose that final game against the Saints the year he came out so we would have the first pick and snatch him up. As of today I am ready to move on. The line sucks, the secondary sucks, the GM sucks, but Winston just isn’t that good and makes too many mistakes. I say we dump Winston, bring in a scrub QB and try build a team from the lines out. It will suck for a few years but the need a complete rebuild and no need to waste any draft capital on a QB for the next few years. We need to completely rebuild the offensive line before that is even a consideration.

  97. Bucsace Says:

If Ndog says cut him…….then by God cut him!!!!!

  98. Mord Says:

    1. It’s time to think about drafting a new QB.

    2. Given the amount of blitzing our defense does, and the efficacy with which opposing quarterbacks get the ball out quickly to defeat said blitz, you’d think OUR OC might try calling similar plays, and others that don’t allow our turnover prone QB to stand in a collapsing pocket for long enough to make ANY defensive line look awesome and effective.

Blame is warranted for many here. .. But yeah .. Jameis? Toast.

  99. Pewter power Says:

Yes actually Doug koetter was that bad, it was like 10 first half blowouts we watched last year

  100. Bobby M. Says:

Brees only had 228 yds….seems pedestrian compared to our stat machine Jameis Winston.

  101. Grt1 Says:

    Resign him now!!!!!

  102. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Mord any rookie QB is going to flame our completely with the current line and defense that we have. No rookie QB would have any chance to succeed and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

  103. T REX Says:

87 and Ndog are ENEMIES of this franchise.

  104. Defense Rules Says:

What’s so sad is that different players on this team seem to take turns shooting themselves and the team in the foot. Today for instance the OLine looked abysmal. And you could tell that it got to Jameis … he was as squrly as I’ve ever seem him. He wasn’t seeing the field and his progressions most of the afternoon it appeared. Oftentimes he’d start to throw the ball, then pull it down, then start running around and ultimately either take a sack, or throw an incompletion (or worse, an INT) or throw the ball away or whatever. It literally looked like the Sandlot Football we used to play as kids.

The defense held up early I thought, holding the Saints to 2 FGs early-on. But eventually the offense’s non-production got to them it looked like, and the run defense caved. Then the pass defense. I’m sure that it is demoralizing to be told daily that you’re the worst defense in the league, then have to trot out there series after series because your offense can’t do squat.

The one thing I wish is that they’d let Griffin in the game in the 4th quarter. Winston was clearly hurt, but that’s inconsequential because he was so ineffective all afternoon anyways. From lousy coaching to lousy officiating to lousy play on the field, that game really sucked.

  105. Allbuccedup Says:

Joe Montana could not pass with this O-Line. Winston definitely has issues but this rest on the GM and Head Coach you sign a mediocre left tackle to a multi million dollar contract hes only worth about half of that. As for right tackle a 35 over the hill player who’s on his last year. Then you don’t even draft and O-Linemen. What a bunch of idiots.

  106. MirrorMirrowOnTheWall Says:

Joe, I called you out on Twitter. Bucsnation.com has not posted so called journalists twitts since I called you out for using misinformation to appeal to your racist audience. Really not sure how anyone could say such a thing.First, there are are over 100,000 readers here monthly. You’re going to judge them based on a handful of commenters??? –Joe Hear you are at it again. How hard can a QB try? A QB under as much pressure as Jameis was all game? Receivers not defending the ball or fighting for the ball. Second, Joe simply wrote there that it appears you can put 3 picks today on Jameis. That’s racist?–Joe
Dropping the ball? QB GETTING hit as he is releasing the ball? This hear corner of the web is for racist? As bad as our defense is, Sean Payton did not ask Drew Brees to throw the ball as much as Winston was asked to do. If O.J. Howard is going to get hit, he is going to give the ball to the other team.

  107. Bucs4life Says:

Watch the broadcast with about a 1:08 left in game, camera flips to Winston. Not an expert reading lips but looks like he says “I’m done”

  108. MirrorMirrowOnTheWall Says:

Do not allow my post, and team Glazer will receive a letter.
You post is up, but please feel free to write to Team Glazer anyway. Really not sure what’s got you so upset. –Joe

  109. Defense Rules Says:

And in case anyone missed it, Bucs are now 0 for 3 at RayJay this year. That doesn’t say much for coaching and preparation. Used to be that players really took defending their home turf personally.

  110. Mord Says:

TDTB, I’m not suggesting a rookie will be an instant success, but … with a fairly high draft pick coming, it’s time to plan some future, without Jameis ..

Allbucdedup, even the lines blocking for Montana could not have done it for as long as Winston (and play calling) keeps taxing them to do.

  111. Tyler Chick Says:

jamis has no right to play for this team he is a team killer ,but yet hes out here every week our gm is the worst in the leauge and this is the lowest ive been sinse 76/77

Sucks being a #1 overall pick on a bad team and organization!!!!! Peyton Manning(HOF) was saying the same back in the day!!!!! Still has more int’s first 5 years than Jameis…….Time for Jameis to leave this nonsense team and city behind him…or deal with it and move forward and hope the draft brings in some studs. Not fun being a QB and being afraid to throw your own guys the ball with a fear that they run a bad route or drop or flip a ball up in the air….Thank goodness Brate is still here.

  113. Jeagan1999 Says:

It’s been 65 games. I think we know what #3 is and isn’t now. I think we’ve seen what his game is ….to Joe’s point “Big highs, big lows – and few wins.” It’s obvious Jameis is what he is. It’s also obvious we can’t build a winner around this guy. So does Licht fall on the sword and take the blame for terrible drafting? I doubt it. I think Jameis has lost the confidence of the team and the vast majority of the fans. His BEST CAREER MOVE at this point is to move on to another team that CAN build around what he does best. And the Bucs best move is to admit the JW experiment did not work and move on…preferably with a new GM who can draft a winning team moving forward.

JW isn’t the ONLY problem with this team, but he also isn’t the kind of QB who can overcome adversity with the team we have. Let’s move on….for the good of all in this mess.

Hey Jeagan1999,,, Jameis definitely lost confidence in his team!!!! Nobody is open……Has to hit Miller and Brate all day… Kinda explains it! Watch the game again and listen to the commentators.

“N dog while I understand how you feel as fans we should never give up. Even if the walls cave in on us we leap from the pile of misery. I will never give up and I will back this team until I die! Go Bucs!”

    Well said.

Joe, at the end of the second half, under heavy pressure Jameis put the ball where his receiver could make a play on the ball, but the defender reaches behind himself and made a play on the ball while falling down. The receivers could have at least committed a pass interference. Time running was running out, and Jameis was under heavy pressure with only one option. The receivers should have caught that pass. You disagree? On the fourth down pick six, Jameis is about to hit Evans as he comes open, but is hit from behind on his blind side. Every other offensive lineman held their assignment. The defensive player that hit Jameis, had the longest distance to Jameis. Rolling right and stepping up, should have given Jameis the time needed to make a big play. On the interception in the end zone to Evans, do you disagree that Evans was pushed, and that the pass was on the money?

ALL 98 OF JAMEIS WINSTON’S TURNOVERS ARE RACIST!!!

  124. BucsBandit Says:

At this point it’s truly LAUGHABLE that anyone would cry “Racist!” to try and defend the fact that Jameis Winston continues to be heavily criticized because he SUCKS.

All of this that think Winston totally sucks and can’t wait until he’s off the Bucs would GLADLY trade him for Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, or Teddy Bridgewater.

Race has nothing to do with SUCKAGE.

    FOOK JAMEIS WINSTON!

  125. RustyRhinos Says:

When we held the saints to a FG, took the kick on our first possession and went 3 and out with a 6 yard run. And two passes not caught and the first pass should have and could have been intercepted if the D player had just turned around and moved his hands together, because it hit him square in the numbers on his back.

Where was all that Pride from the QB, the Oline Pride? Was that what 76 showed on his patented Ole’ move, there was no Block. While the RB’s and WRs had a fair to good game, TE(Brate) had a super game and showed Pride, but not enough to win. Where was that Pride on the Dfense? A few moments from David, and Edwards. The rest just didn’t impress me in the pride department. Watch yourself D the lazy ax may be swinging on Tuesday!.

“Waiting for it” again ” I just need to play better” rah rah rah speech.
No SHOW ME! In this game.

Not going back through the thread to see where it came from but the racist nonsense has got to go. Whatever dumba$$ speaks like that is generally a racist themselves. Anywho,,,,,,what was the score of the Eagles-Pats game??????? Both those QB’s must be brutal huh???????

You should seriously learn some grammar.
It is HERE. – It is not “hear”.
    And your accusations are ridiculous.
I have been as big a Jameis fan as there is.
But one can hardly blame those that have had enough.

  130. ChipBuc Says:

While watching that game yesterday I suddenly realized that for Winston’s own good he has to leave for another team next year. While Winston has thrown many picks this year, I can’t blame it all on Winston. It also occurred to me yesterday that no matter who is QB on this team as it is constructed will succeed. It is obvious to me that against any team the qb has to play a almost perfect game to even have a chance to win with this defense. Don’t think for a minute that Winston doesn’t think while he’s in 3rd and 12 if I don’t keep this drive going and go down and score, we will punt and the other team will drive down and score easily against our crap defense. Thus he forces throws and int. occur. No QB can thrive in this atmosphere. So Winston for your own sanity, don’t resign here. Go to a team with a decent defense or just a balanced team. With all that pressure taken off to be perfect, I think he can thrive.

  131. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

^^ I agree with you 100%, ChipBuc. — and I can tell you I would adopt that team as my 2nd favorite team, and watch every game, just to see him finally hopefully win.
