Alshon Jeffery May Not Play

Atop Bears injury report.

Atop Bears injury report.

The toasty Bucs secondary, not exactly comparable to the 1981 49ers, got a bit of a break on Christmas when NFL teams released their final injury reports of the week.

In the report released by the Bears, per Jeff Dickerson of BSPN, stud wide receiver and maybe Bucs free agent target Alshon Jeffery is listed as doubtful with a bum hamstring. He did not practice Friday.

Given the Bucs had trouble with the likes of the immortal Kenny Britt (Schiano Man!) over a week ago, this is good news.

Jeffery has played in only nine games this season.

They should list our defense. They have played in almost none.

That’s too bad, with Banks starting this week I wanted to see their best WR out there to see if he has improved now that he’s had time to sit and hopefully learn the system.

Im sure the slug filling in for Alshon will have a great day. I bet the Bears entire receiving corps won’t even be able to sleep tonight for thinking about those 10 yard cushions they will have all day. Its gonna be like prom night all over again.
