“It All Starts Up Front”

October 5th, 2011

Joe often thinks of this site as an outreach effort. Joe knows the women he has as regular readers for reasons unknown choose not to have the NFL Network wired into their homes, hence the reason for this post.

As we all know, a man would never be caught without the NFL Network. That’s the equivalent to admitting in public one has no use for America’s game, football. That would be more shameful than passing gas in the produce section of Publix.

So as Joe is wont to do, he was enjoying the NFL Network yesterday afternoon when Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy appeared from One Buc Palace for an interview.

Among the many things he had to say was the reason the defense is playing so well is a combination of the players Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik has drafted in recent years, new assistant coaches and how each lineman has a passion for getting to the quarterback. Gees Joe, I hope you are getting a handsome reward for this publicity of the network…

I saw that and I came away thinking, I wish Gerald would stop doing these interviews on behalf of the line, maybe stepping aside for Clayborne.

I have nothing against Gerald, he is a beast…..but in interviews, he comes across like a goofy pussycat, I would really like to see some nasty come out and that appears to be right up Clayborne’s alley.

Love McCoy! He has been consistent and certainly is relatable in interviews. I think people are tired of the Talib type characters who aren’t role models for kids. McCoy is someone that you can be proud to hold up to your kids as a sports hero. Good character young man that plays like a tough guy on the field but is just a regular guy off the field. Are there ‘stats’ now for interviews that I’m not aware of?? Tough guy points or something??

Me too, Bobby! Love McCoy’s interviews. Now that he is reaching his stride as a player, he is going to be an asset to the team in all aspects.

LOL Then you don’t want Clayborn to talk. He’s a quiet dude that speaks in whispers. A quiet assassin.
