Reports Of Warren Sapp’s Firing Premature

February 7th, 2010

After former Bucs great and current NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp was arrested yesterday, charged with domestic battery, a report surfaced last night from AOL Fanhouse that the NFL Network had terminated Sapp.

While Sapp, who was in Miami as he was part of the network’s team covering the Super Bowl, was pulled from the network shows for the weekend, NFL Network team executives claim, via an e-mail to Gregg Rosenthal of ProFootballTalk.com, that Sapp has not been fired.

Yet.

“The report is inaccurate.  We are reviewing the matter,” Johnson said in an email to PFT Sunday morning.

Sapp is scheduled to stand in front of a judge today to see if he gets turned loose or not.

For Joe, that would suck to be lock up on Super Sunday.
