Denver quarterback Jay Cutler is doing nothing to diffuse the controversy in Broncosland

It’s not just Day 1 of an offseason workout program Jay Cutler is supposed to report to in Denver on Monday. New Broncos head coach Josh McDaniel has called his first team meeting for 8 a.m. Monday.

The Denver Post reports today that Cutler is undecided about attending the meeting and his absence might force a trade.

Cutler understands if he doesn’t report Monday the Broncos may feel no choice but to trade him, but he remains undecided about whether to attend McDaniels’ meeting. What is clear is Cutler’s teammates want his issue with McDaniels to be resolved.

As we know the Bucs tried to trade for Cutler earlier this month. Why wouldn’t they still be interested?

Joe spoke this week to Broncos beat writer Jeff Legwold, formerly of the recently shut down Rocky Mountain News, who says Cutler can be had right now.

Whatever the price on Cutler’s head, Joe suspects it could come down considerably on Monday morning.
