Those hoping Joey Galloway would break the trend of party-line, say-nothing Bucs player radio shows were surely disappointed by The Joey Galloway Show on WDAE 620AM on Monday evening.

Galloway was hit with questions about Jeff Garcia’s benching and Brian Griese gaining the starter’s job.  And No. 84 responded by explaining that fans need to change their perspective of player moves and approach them with the understanding that coaches carefully make these changes with a goal only to win the next game.

What?

Bill O’Reilly would have roasted Galloway after that comeback.

Oh, well. The eloquent Galloway was our best hope of getting player insight into the Garcia benching. Chucky’s got a tight-lipped team who’s clearly afraid of his doghouse.

Galloway also danced around discussion of his injured foot, which forced him to leave the field late in the game. He said he had MRI tests and has yet to be given the results by team doctors.

Joe still recommends Galloway’s radio show. He’s entertaining and a future media star.

Today, Galloway talked about how he’s a big Rays fan, and how he took batting practice with the team last year.

Galloway also said he had no love for Tiger Woods’ appearance on the Bucs’ sideline yesterday. “I said, ‘Hi, Tiger,’ and that’s enough for me. I just don’t get it. …I’m not a golfer. The game’s too slow.”

Joe and THE PESSIMIST think the whole Gruden-Woods love affair is ridiculous, as mentioned weeks ago when Eldrick showed up at training camp.
