Vernon Hargreaves Delivers A Message

Vernon Hargreaves was talking this morning — directly to hardcore Buccaneers fans.
On the heels of winning head coach Dirk Koetter expressing how much he’s “fired up about the Stick Carriers,” and general manager Jason Licht getting in on the love via Twitter, it was time for a Bucs player to embrace the new fan movement poised to shake the earth at One Buc Palace on Aug. 5 and in Raymond James Stadium all season.
That Buccaneer was Hargreaves, who sent in his Bucs audio take to the thrice-weekly Bucs Uncensored podcast, hosted by Justin Pawlowski on this very website.
“… …It’s not only the coaches and the GM that know about August 5th, when everybody’s going to show up and support [the team at training camp practice]. You know, the players know about it, too. I let everybody know. So we’re extremely excited to see you guys out there. Come loud and be ready,” Hargreaves said.

I feel you MtBucsFan; I’m out here in Utah, but born/raised in Tampa. I’ll continue to support my Bucs, but definitely wish I could attend Stick Carrier Day on Aug 5th!

LOL – the only way to not see Eagles fans in Philly is to move. I’m here in ATL, and live 10 min. from the Falcons training facility. Tons of dirty birds around here, but you get used to it after a while.

Start a fan club in your area. I live in tampa but there is a seattle seahawks club that meet up at a bar in my area for games, drafts etc

I’m in Philly too, the fans here are….. well Philly fans, but I go to Fox and Hound in center city on Sundays for games. Great atmosphere and fans from all over. Check it out. I’ll be reppin. Usually a small group of us.

Saw some dude with a Mike Evans jersey on at the Chapelle’s show at red rocks last weekend. In general I’ve been seeing more Bucs shirts / car stickers here or there in Denver. It’s still hardcore bronco land but it’s cool to see

Huge Atlbucs fan club in Alpharetta Ga. Meets at Millers ale house every Sunday. and tailgates at Stadium ..

But people round here swear they about to be so potent this season Lord C. Old on D line,sham newton coming off shoulder surgery,and has a bad repor with the HC. The quarternator now the HC in Buffalo. . I guess go go gadget mccaffery will really be expected to carry that outfit next season. I fully expect us to sweep them again next season.

Man bought a new house and it’s been kicking my ass. Never ending projects. Cut down a oak tree that was massive been working on that for months. Finally getting it down to firewood size. The pool won’t stay clean for more than an hour. Palm trees won’t stop dropping figs seeds/nuts/acorns into the pool. Mowing and weeding a corner lot is a mf. Just finished fixing the rail on the sliding glass door and this Saturday I need to snake the drain for the backyard. And that’s not counting all the other stuff I’ve done. I’m now an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter and a lumberjack. I’m spoiled bro. #FirstWorldProblems

Do you think the Buccaneers will have foam sticks (think foam finger) available in Team Shop for said Stick Carriers in time to fill up RayJay for Opening Day?!?
To see RayJay filled up with Stick Carriers all equipped with foam sticks like, Pittsburg and their Terrible Towels, would be pageantry at its finest! The Marketing/Merchandise sales and ideas are endless and bottomless. Not to mention the obvious PR/Team and Fan unity possibilities.
Also, whoever is the first person to be spotted with a custom made Buccaneers jersey with the name plate, Stick Carrier or S. Carrier would definitely receive Pete Schrager’s and Hey! Kay Adams’ vote for the random jersey segment. Jus’ Sayin’

Damn….this is the first time in my life that I’m disappointed about missing a freaking training camp. The Bucs and their coaches have me really jacked.
But as a snowbird who won’t be back until October can’t make it. All my Bucs info is now coming from JBF and satellite TV.
I’m in the most remote part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula staring at Lake Superior and hiking everday in 60-70 degree weather. Life is good.
Glad to read some of you other guys are enjoying some remote living. I’m good for about three months but then my urbanite ways overwhelm and I NEED the city…more specifically Tampa/St. Pete. The stuff to do is amazing…so much to choose from…including…THE BUCS!!!
