Roughly halfway through practice this morning, Joe thought the Bucs called the practice way early. All players, whether from the defensive sideline or the offense gathered behind the quarterback, came forward to the middle of the field. [read more]
Happy moment for the Bucs offense. Starting tight end Cade Otton was back on the practice field today, his first practice this month. Otton had a hamstring injury.
Joe sure hopes all the hamstring issues the Bucs have now are two-weekers like Otton’s.
Official good news on running back Rachaad White today.
Sage Ira Kaufman previously shared the positive report on his Sunday podcast: Rachaad White’s groin injury is not serious. Today, head coach coach Todd Bowles said White is “day-to-day.”
Joe is exhaling. White scored nine touchdowns last seasons and ranked in the top-five in the NFL in catch percentage. That’s a lot to replace.
When the Bucs release their epic 50th-anniversary documentary later this year, which will be a first-class Hollywood production, there’s a good chance one Bucs story will make the cut. [read more]

Next Saturday is when all or most Buccaneers starters will play as a unit against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
That was strongly implied during tonight’s WFLA-TV broadcast of the Titans-Bucs game, and JoeBucsFan.com was able to confirm after the game that Todd Bowles’ plan is to play the starters in Week 2 of the preseason — and not much if at all in preseason finale (Week 3) versus Buffalo in Tampa.
The Bucs face the Bills during the regular season and Bowles, like many head coaches, would prefer not to have his starters up against a future 2025 opponent in August.
