Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s all rolled into one!
What can Joe say about the Fourth of July holiday. It might be Joe’s favorite; the only thing missing is live football.
The day is all about fun, hitting the beaches, hitting the water, drinking like a fish, grilling cattle, hog, chicken, buffalo and more, and at the end of the day, watching people blow up stuff (which drives howling pets throughout [oh, no] Pasco County running for pillows to shred).

How will the Buccaneers’ offense respond to the loss of Gerald McCoy?
It’s a worthwhile question considering comments this week from one of McCoy’s former teammates. (more…)

“The Sage,” Ira Kaufman, will channel his days of stickball stardom.
The Fourth of July might never be the same.
Tomorrow, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tampa’s only Pro Football Hall of Fame voter, JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman, will take batting practice at Steinbrenner Field before the Tampa Tarpons game (Yankees’ A-ball affiliate).
And you can join him! (more…)

Bucs DC Todd Bowles.
Yes, yes, yes. Joe knows Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles was not the defensive coordinator of the Jets when he ran the show in New Jersey. (more…)

Cusp of greatness.
He’s played in only 24 games, 75 percent of the games since he was drafted in 2017. But Bucs tight end O.J. Howard has virtually turned the NFL on its ear. (more…)

Numbers. (Photo courtesy of Buccaneers.com.)
The way people freak about America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, you’d think the guy was a combination of Trent Dilfer, Stewart McClown and Zach Mettenberger rolled into one. (more…)

New golf course chatter
Yes, everybody’s favorite new Buccaneers head coach, Bucco Bruce Arians, was talking football this week. (more…)

Former Bucs guard looks at 2019.
Since the Bucs hired Bucco Bruce Arians and the team willfully ignored a couple of critical areas that needed manpower upgrades, Joe has written many times we will find out fairly quickly if Bucs coaches the past few years were really that bad or if terrible assessments of personnel were made. (more…)

Secondary X-factor
Some people would argue the Bucs lost their two best defensive players this offseason, along with two receivers who combined for 117 catches, 1,590 yards and nine touchdowns. (more…)

“Ira, let me fix Jameis before you start working on your speech.”
Now Joe fully understands before any Buccaneer is ever talked about in the same sentence as the Pro Football Hall of Fame, this must be cleared first with the Custodian of Canton, the Sage of Tampa Bay sports, internationally popular JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman. (more…)

Harsh take for cornerback Carlton Davis and his 2018 defensive backfield mates
BY ZACHARY SEIFTER

Well this is disturbing.
It appears a renowned former Buc noticed a fatal flaw in the secondary the Bucs threw onto the field last season. (more…)

Biscuit worth the risk-it.
For Joe, the Bucs took part in all sorts of risky moves this offseason. The hiring of Bruce Arians was not one of them. (more…)

Fresh chatter from Mike Evans
Mike Evans had a busy time last week with his free youth camp in Galveston, Texas, and chatting about boxing and the Bucs. (more…)

Offseason moves explained.
Joe is running out of adjectives to describe what a complete train wreck the Bucs defense was last year.
It’s a wonder dudes weren’t tackling themselves. Then again, they did have 12-yard cushions from any human. (more…)
24-hour flash poll posted at 10:51 a.m. (Joe will run this same poll on Aug. 1 and Sept. 1.)
