Cool Forecast For Sunday Night In Chicago

November 4th, 2026

How bad — or good? — will the Sunday night weather be in Chicago for the Bucs’ key clash there in four short days.

It appears the Bucs will get lucky. Keyword: appears.

As of late Wednesday morning, kickoff weather conditions are forecast to be 49 degrees and clear with modest wind gusts (14 miles per hour), with temperatures dropping into the mid-40s later in the game as skies remain clear. The current rain chance is 0 percent

That’s beautiful football weather and nearly picture perfect for Chicago in November, if the forecast holds. And that’s always a big “if.”

Joe’s pleased with the forecast because that means nothing should get in the Bucs’ heads as they prepare for the big game.

For those ready for a weather excuse for the Bucs offense, Joe will point you to the November game in Buffalo last season last year.

The Bucs had no issue marching up and down the field on Buffalo in miserable cold and windy conditions. (Funny how nobody threw Josh Grizzard under a bus after that 44-32 loss.)

Underdressed Joe is still thawing from walking about three-quarters of a mile late after that game to grab an Uber from a nearby bar.

    Prediction:

If Baker can’t throw a pass further than 15 yards…

We are going to get skinned alive.

  2. Jmarkbuc Says:

Might be the time to use Tucker, instead of beating the two mighty mights to death.

Jeffrey Simmons is capable of making a meal out of Bucky

We are going to get skinned alive.

when you said “It appears the Bucs will get lucky.” I thought you were going to say the forecast is for 12 inches of rain during this game!

  5. ProffeserVonBrainStorm Says:

Bowles will try again to run the ball 60 times and pass two or three times.

Baker keeps his 32 yard average per game intact and they again score below 20 points.

Unfortunately for them the Bears score in the high 20s or low 30s.

3-6 into the bye and still in a dead heat for the Cow pie division title.

I know which Joe will be giddy about that. Same one arguing for Todd to be retained.

  6. SkunkApe Says:

If 49º is enough to affect your team, you’re weak.

  7. BucBoy Says:

Call me hopeful, but this could be the real turnaround game of the season for us. It’s not about how you start its how you finish.

  8. 941bucsfan Says:

Yea jmark… no tucker. The guy couldnt get 1 yard on the cowboys. Its a reason why he is a 3rd stringer. Lets leave it that way

  9. SkunkApe Says:

    That’s actually perfect football weather.

  10. JimBobBuc Says:

Great weather; Z-Rob’s entire playbook should be open. Under Bowles, the Bucs beat Ben Johnson once when he was running Detroit’s offense. Maybe he can do it again. Caleb Williams can scramble for some big plays, though.

Per RosterAudit.com the Bucs receiver who leads the NFL in BOTH Separation and Fewest Drops is: Chris Godwin. Get Him The Ball !!!! Baker and Z-Rob need to stop focusing on Meka and feed Chris. Where’s Mariah Godwin when we need her? 🙂

Joe … ‘Underdressed Joe is still thawing from walking about three-quarters of a mile late after that game to grab an Uber from a nearby bar.’

Seriously? THAT’S your bottom line Joe? That you froze while crawling home from the bar in Chicago because you were inappropriately clothed? That just tells me you didn’t drink enough to warm up.

  12. Defense Rules Says:

Marine Buc … ‘Prediction: If Baker can’t throw a pass further than 15 yards … we are going to get skinned alive.’

Bucs were on the Atlanta 28-yd line when Baker threw that deep pass to Hurst, which he couldn’t hold on to (the defender did an excellent job of knocking it loose).

That was a great pass though and probably traveled close to 40 yds in the air. I don’t know how many of those Baker has in him, but that was still a very nice pass.

Baker’s thumb will probably still be an issue in this coming game, but HOPEFULLY he’ll be close to 100% after the BYE. I don’t see us passing very much, but I’m skeptical that we can beat Chicago without a modicum of a Passing Game. If we let them stack the box, that’ll just make it harder & harder to keep drives alive using JUST the Run Game.

He got two carries in that game. Two.

  14. AquaBum Says:

Realistically, cold is not going to be good for any kind of bone or dislocation injury. I’m expecting a lot of 2-3 TE sets to help keep the DL at bay with short throws and runs.

Let the cat and mouse game begin, but I don’t think Dennis Allen is going to fool Bowles by any means. He will make sure Zac is well versed on what to expect

  15. toopanca Says:

After the win against Atlanta, I was hoping for a blizzard!

    Run the ball! Bo Bucs!

  16. Obvious Says:

Great weather indeed and nothing should get in the way of being able to use this game as a barometer of where the coaching, team and personnel are. This is a legit Super Bowl contender with an ascending qb and good defense.

Let’s see if the team shows that it can beat a legit squad, and carry it over and show consistency the rest of the year by finishing with a winning record.

Blow out loss on Sunday – same ole Bowles Bucs
Lose a close game on Sunday – same ole Bowles Bucs
Win on Sunday but still finish with a losing record – same ole Bowles Bucs

    No excuses

  17. Stpetematt Says:

Bucs should have scored 30 against Atlanta. Bears aren’t much better at stopping the run than Atlanta is, and we’ll be able to run behind a pulling Mauch next to Wirfs against *any* team.

  18. larrd Says:

I believe the Bucs will win. They will shut down the run and the corners can handle the Bears’ receivers. The Bucs just need to avoid turnovers on offense, which is what killed them the first few weeks.

  19. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

    Temperature is perfect for football
Wind could be the only influence on the outcome

    ^^^^^^^^

Prediction: If Baker throws a pass (or runs) we are going to get skinned alive.

    Pray for heavy rain.

  21. unbelievable Says:

Great weather it sounds like. Perhaps not so great for the Bucs though. Wet soggy fields and heavy rain seem to favor our new identity.

    The Bears are legit.

Trips TE and road grade those guys to Canada
