Are the Bucs capable of rallying together?
Several Bucs are capable of strong individual performances, but as a group, these Bucs play soft football that’s too often uninspired.
That tends to be the case with team on a 2-10 tear.
So how do the Bucs win tonight in Dallas? It starts with a cause, says Bucs Super Bowl-winning head coach Jon Gruden. Speaking on his Barstool Sports show, Gruden Family Football, Chucky says the huge spotlight of Thursday Night Football should matter.
“The battle cry for Tampa is we’re playing on national TV,” Chucky said. “Much like Atlanta did in Green Bay [two weeks ago] … you gotta galvanize your team. You guys gotta come together. You know what the cause is? National TV, Dallas Cowboys. Go in there and take this game.”
That said, Gruden picked Dallas to win tonight.
Joe hopes the Bucs man up and play to their abilities. Another deuce dropped by the offensive line will be so dejecting.

They have to do a lot of things, and it always seems to evade them. They going to coach them better though we know that.

That’s funny Joe. Proof is in the pudding. Lets just look at the last 13 games (2-11). How many times do we keep saying the same things and expecting different results? Insanity Joe. It’s a broken record. And this is a broken team. Bucs get crushed tonight.

Jason Licht saw this Team come apart the last 11 games last year.
And he did nothing. He could have signed an actual center. Moved Barton to Guard. That would have improved 2 positions.
He’s had 5 years to build a pass rush. He made it a joke.
Randy Gregory- that’s an insult. Haason Reddick? Please.
Bowles saw his defense get throttled last year
He made no changes. Just replaced a great old LBer with a formerly very good but old LBer. He should have made adjustments to match personnel. He didn’t.
Hard to expect the team to rally, when its leaders have done nothing.
Play for the top pick, and let the rookies get their feet wet.

Gutless, slow, and stupid, they have no pride. Dallas is going to destroy these losers and the Bucs loser coach will have even more stupid excuses tomorrow morning. How could the Bucs pick a veteran OC even worse than a rookie OC?
Jalon is going to get killed tonight so don’t be surprised when the score is 45-14.
Also, special props to Licht for assembling the softest team in the NFL.

Welp, what sucks is as bad as the Cowboys rush defense has been, they’re coming off their best game of the season. If there were ever a game to get Jalon under center and handing it off to 2-3 of our RBs over the duration of the game something is going to give eventually.
I personally just don’t think Robinson is going to lean on the run game the way he should, and he’s going to keep using screen in place of actually running the football. Problem with playing the perimeter game is that opposing defense sit on it and don’t allow much of anything over top. So we get the slow, plodding dinkage and dunkage offense we’ve been handcuffed to for our first 4 games. Ball control via pass, and it’s stale/boring/low efficiency football.

Can’t blame the coach anymore, nor the gm. This is all on the owners, they know well what’s going on. Our hc has nothing left. You see him in the press conferences, it’s the same rhetoric as last yeas; the man has nothing different or nothing left to say, and he’s obviously done himself, the team knows it, the fans know it, so does the gm. Why they just won’t let this man off the hook is mind boggling to me.

Somehow the O line keeps getting rated in the top 10. Apparently the pass blocking is good! It’s the run blocking that is struggling. Who would have thought? Sure doesn’t seem like it. Or the QB play is just that bad.

Run the ball, get jalon out of the pocket, short the intermediate passes, give him the option to run if it’s there.

Capt Tim. that is the most frustrating thing. Neither Licht nor Bowles did anything to bring in the right players to improve the defense. Instead they draft unproven rookies, hype them up and give them a starting job. Then they sign has beens that are just here for the money. Every year same story. Same lame excuses. How much longer will the Glazers tolerate this level of mismanagement?

If the Glazers think so much of Todd Bowles why did they allow him to become an embarrassment to himself ? If they had “released him from his duties” in a dignified manner a few years ago then he could have transitioned to a new career or retirement with his dignity in tact.

Godwin 50+ yards: 3.60 odds
Bucs over 17.5 points: 1.70 odds
Bucs defense over 4.3 fantasy points: 3.38 odds
I think they feature Godwin tonight, have him running some slants, in addition to screens, has a nice night. As for the points, I figure the Bucs get a late garbage time TD to put them just over the mark (hopefully). And for the Bucs defense, without Winfield I don’t have my hopes up, but Dak does turn it over a little, and I think we’ll get some sacks this week – so that should get us over that mark as well.
To be sure, I think this will be a bad game for the Bucs, even if Baker was starting I figured on a double digit loss, but there’s still a few places to take some profits.

I don’t agree on the Godwin connection. Daniels and he have only had a few practices together. Switch that to Hurst in garbage time and I think it’s more likely.
Dak has only turned it over 1 time in 4 games so he’s doing a good job with ball security so far. The Cowboys have allowed 6 sacks in 4 games – but have Tyson Smith returning at tackle – so getting to Prescott might be a little harder than before. Especially for this pass rush starved Bucs defense. Also, if the Cowboy don’t score 30 for a fantasy -1 point I’d be utterly shocked.
PS – whoever has Jake Feguson on their fantasy team should consider starting him. He’s got 3 TD’s in 4 games against teams not named the Bucs.

Goodwin had 6 receptions on 7 targets last week.
Hurst, meanwhile, only played 38% of snaps last week – and on tape looked a little slow. I wonder if he’s banged up?
For the defense, after no sacks last week, I think Bowles actually mans up and sends some blitzes, and I think they get a turnover and a few sacks as a result. The Bucs defense is 4th overall in the NFL right now, and while I don’t think they’ll have a good night, 4.3 points is very reasonable in my opinion.
BUT, I could certainly be wrong – you make valid points in particular on the Cowboys offense. I feel most strongly about Godwin have a nice night, not good, but nice – like 60 yards and a TD.

Dak’s uniform will be clean. Bowles will have his edge rushers drop back in coverage. He’ll also need to protect against CD Lamb taking the top off the defense so expect soft coverage.

Deep shot to start the game. Have some balls. Don’t go into a shell and run on first down. Do that and it’ll get ugly quick. Hit a couple long passes THEN run the ball.

Hey this guy remembers the time maybe last year when one of the Glazer wives put her trust in Bowles right. This whole thing was a sham Bowles knew last year that he lost most of the team, the same ole story isn’t working or meaningful. You were supposed to create the meaning. Now we need the superheroes to get us out of the pit you dug. It’s been 4 seasons of blah blah blah and going backwards. Thank you good bye brother.
