Sean Tucker Silliness Returns

October 1st, 2026

It’s an annual ritual at One Buc Palace.

Todd Bowles says publicly that running back Sean Tucker needs more touches and that he tells that to the offensive coaches. Or he says the Bucs have a three-headed monster at running back and the hot hand will win out. Or Bowles says Tucker is a “game-breaker.”

This season, Tucker has no touches.

And, seemingly on cue yesterday, Bowles said of Tucker, “Yeah, we talked about it. He definitely needs to run the ball a little bit more.”

The Bucs have run the ball reasonably well through three games. Tampa Bay ranks 11th in yards per carry. Bucky Irving is at 4.5 yards per carry, but Kenny Gainwell has only run for 21 yards on 10 carries.

Joe would love to see the Bucs give Tucker a couple of series against the Packers on Sunday. He’s shown he can get hot. Or Joe also would like to the see the Bucs trade Tucker to a running-back needy team.

If the Bucs don’t use Tucker, why exactly would he want to be here next season, his free agent year?

Meanwhile, Rachaad White is having a nice start to the year in Washington. Sure missed his pass blocking versus the Vikings

  2. CosmoKramer Says:

Another pearl of wisdom from Super Bowels.

Yes, more touches than zero is usually how you succeed.

Imagine if Todd was your financial advisor?

After your life savings were squandered he’d have a simple explanation.

Just gotta invest it better. #ClownCar

  3. Redzone Says:

Tucker is the main rb similar to Doug Martin – Bucky is a situational back like Warrick Dunn being run into the ground- gainwell should back up both – the $$ and usage is all out of whack

  4. Leopold Stotch Says:

This right here is another reason why I (and I would guess most other fans) am sick of Bowles. I was explaining why to a friend and to another Co worker all the reasons why. And it’s these ridiculous comments of him basically saying “Yeah we know what’s wrong or what we can improve, but we’re not going to do anything about it.” like come on dude. He has to know he’s cooked, right? Why wouldn’t you start Tucker. It’s amazing how he can win player of the week and then not see touches again. Wasn’t he supposed to be a 3rd round pick at worst? And we got him as an UDFA. I just don’t get it.

  5. Joe Bob Pigskin Says:

It’s that keen insight from Bowles that makes him such a good coach.

  6. Usedtocould Says:

Todd, what is your plan for playing in the rain? Well, water is wet.

  7. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“It’s amazing how he can win player of the week and then not see touches again.”

As much as these guys worship Coen, this was a glaring part of his time as OC with us is he had no answer nor what appeared to be any desire to get Tucker more involved in ’24.

Tucker also had the best day of any of our RBs last year in Buffalo, but as soon as Bucky game back Tucker went right back to the bench.

Now, with he and Kam Johnson, they’ve become the forgotten men. Still, somebody needs to ask Bowles or Danny Smith himself, why in the blue hell are we using Tez to return punts.

Are Tucker & Godwin on vacation?

Do we need to contact the Tampa Police Dept. and file a missing persons report for Tucker?

    Incompetence.

    more BS from TB!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  12. Bejeezusbelt Says:

It’s always the great Sean Tucker mystery. Last year he was this teams best back by far, but we still kept him from getting the ball. Bucky came back and wasn’t worth a spit, but we kept trying to see if he would get better, and that never happened. He is at least the second best this year since so far Bucky seems back on track.

  13. Hodad Says:

Top to bottom house cleaning is in order. Thanks Glazers for wasting this season.

  14. Badbucs Says:

If Todd hadn’t run White off with empty promises of playing the hot hand, we might still have a quality blocking and pass catching back. More incompetence on display. The vaunted Gainwell acquisition proving to be another JL overpaid bust. Wasting Tucker is no big deal for Bowles.

  15. can-we-get-rid-of-licht-now-please Says:

more Jalon Daniels more Anthony Nelson more Sean Tucker – the Bucs are gonna lose anyway but I’d like to see more of them – the Bucs could trade for All-Pros at every position and still lose with Bowles and Robinson

  16. Jmarkbuc Says:

    1996

Like Winfield, Bowles “hasn’t put everything in to access his talents yet”

    Toddy Paycheck is a clown

  17. D-Rome Says:

I don’t really know what a Head Coach’s total responsibilities are, but given that a head coach has an offensive and defensive coordinators to go along with a bunch of assistant coaches, I would venture to guess that Todd Bowles does not make the decisions on which players are going to be in each specific play on the play sheet.

Furthermore, we as fans have no idea how Sean Tucker has picked up Zac Robinson’s offense. Maybe they have Sean Tucker in certain packages and because the team was never in the situation to use those packages that he’s not on the field.

That being said, Zac Robinson needs to find a way to get him on the field. He produces.

  18. jimmy Says:

well they got gainwell so they dont play him instead of not playing tucker.

    get it??

  19. Bojim Says:

Yea. He says that a lot. So besides Walker, you don’t like Tucker either for some reason coach. You’re the HC. You can tell the OC to play him you know.

  20. Erik with Unique Modern Art Says:

Tucker is our best all-around RB. Period.

  21. Lakeland Says:

    Sean Tucker haven’t been 100%

He missed some time during camp
    He missed the season opener

    He had a hammy
    Is it fully healed?

  22. Pewter Power Says:

You have to be some kind of goofy to have a rookie starter who makes 1 mil then sign a back free agency for 14 million contract and keep a third back for 3 mil but have an undrafted free agent backing up the most important position in the nfl.

Too cowardly to let a third string back walk in free agency or better yet keep that Kenny gainwell money in his pocket. Now there’s 3 active guys on game day who can’t block incoming blitzers

  23. Pops Malone Says:

If I could get bet money on it, I’d put a ton of cash out there that the same people that made the decision to keep “We gotta coach it better” around for another year are the same people that made the decision to switch to those hideous “alarm clock number” jerseys years ago that looked like a dirty diaper. The incompetent upper management decision making rolls on in the Bucs organization….ridiculous.
“We gotta think it thru and make decisions better”…….idiots.

  24. Jmarkbuc Says:

    DRome

Mayfield damn sure hadn’t picked up the offense.

  25. Jmarkbuc Says:

A year for David Walker to get back, then he comes in and do some good things, and then we don’t play him anymore. Classic Todd.

  26. Gofortheface30 Says:

“As much as these guys worship Coen.” Yeah well they should, Mellon head. Jaguars are now arguably the most dominant in the AFC, and very well could win the Super Bowl, while we are door mats. But this guy above wants to talk about how he used Sean F’ing Tucker. Lmao this guy

Mortgage free in this bellends head, when you wake up do you think about me puh-c?

Is the day a snow storm hit West Africa

    “Lakeland Says:

The day the Jacksonville Jaguars win a Super Bowl”

LMAOOOOO, first off he’s not even talking about them getting to the SB after another 14-15, or getting through the divisional round, or a conference title he skipped all of that and went straight to them winning the SB. Nevermind who’s on their schedule, what happens if any of their key guys get hurt.

All that just to get some BS off because I made him feel stupid once lol

  30. Tucker Says:

Don’t really care about tucker what I really want to know is where is ebuka where is Godwin where is tez the strength of this offense was supposed to be the wr group but it’s mia .

  31. BigZ Says:

I should be a GM. I would have never resigned Chris. Cotton and certainly given KennyG 7 mil per. That player is in every draft, i.e. Emmett Johnson and Jonah Coleman come to mind this year. 37 mil for what? Not to mention 20 mil last year for Chris. These were no brainers…

  32. Rod Munch Says:

I thought Tucker was still injured.
