Jalen McMillan Estimated To Miss Maybe Two Months

Bucs WR Jalen McMillan may be out a while.
If the news Monday about Baker Mayfield didn’t get you depressed, the following likely will.
One of the Bucs’ core young and talented receivers Jalen McMillan, got hurt again on Sunday in the debacle loss to the Vikings. It was his first game of the year after he was nursed back to health after suffering a PCL sprain in training camp.
Apparently, on Sunday McMillan re-aggravated the same injury. That’s the word from Jenna Laine of ESPN, who noted McMillan may miss the next two months.
It’s a PCL sprain for Bucs wide receiver Jalen McMillan, per source. That’s the same injury he suffered during training camp to his left knee. He’ll get a second opinion, which will give much more clarity on the timetable for recovery, but the early thinking is this could be 6-8 weeks, which factors in his previous timetable.
This will be the third season in as many years as the talented McMillan has missed a significant portion of a season due to an injury. Sadly, even though Joe really likes McMillan, the third-year receiver from Washington is quickly establishing himself as injury-prone.
The fact that McMillan cannot stay on the field, and therefore cannot be trusted to be a major element of the Bucs offense, only reinforces the notion many fans on this here website have expressed that, with the Bucs barreling towards a top-five pick in 2027, the team should focus on drafting Ohio State star receiver Jeremiah Smith (who just got a defensive coordinator fired over the weekend; he’s so friggin’ good).

The Packers are only favored by 3.5 measely points on Sunday, and the Bucs are 0-12 against the spread in their last dozen.
This is a clear invitation from the gambling gods to profit from your Bucs suffering while the lines still have some unfathomable belief the Bucs will keep it that close.
The Packers are a mediocre team this season, and that’s more than enough to beat the Bucs by 4 or more points.

The Buccaneers have the best training and medical staffs in the league. Here is another example. For most other teams, he would not have even played in the Vikings loss. Another notch in Jason’s belt.

If you are picking top 5 you are picking a qb, you dont have a choice unless you are finding a Tom Brady somewhere in free agency. This is a talented team we jsut miss a coach. For you that ask for licht to be fired, either dont have a good memory to remember our previous GMs or just started following Bucs recently.

I was totally in shock that they didn’t bring Shep back. Jmac is not very durable and cant catch the ball. Shep always got open and was reliable.
Licht is stupid. Bowles is just plain dumb. Bad WRs, bad Oline , Bad OC.

I’d be willing to take a wager on that. Not just because the Bucs are bad, that’s undeniable. But this is a UDFA QB making his first start on a bad offense with the rest of the team being shaky. If they can’t score with a legitimate starting QB, they won’t be scoring with a completely inexperienced kid fresh off the hay truck from Kansas.

I was actually listening on the radio after switching over from hearing all of the “Philly Fans” BOOOOOOING J.T. Realmuto, just for bending over to ‘tie his shoes’ while in the midst of like an 0 for 32 slump… During game #162 on the final day of the season versus the Rays. It was during my walk out on the Courtney Campbell. The new Bucs Radio Announcer (and you could really ‘hear-it’ in his voice), made the comment about it being such a shame because he is soooo talented of a player. And, then it hit me… Oh, yeah, “HE” SHOULD KNOW all about it then (most Bucs Fans on here, didn’t even know WHO TF “J-Mac” was when we drafted him), since HE was the Washington Huskies “play-by-play” Man. I mean, “HE” really got to witness J-Mac’s just DEVASTATING ‘injuries’ firsthand, while he was in college. So, yeah… He had to REALLY hate seeing that happen AGAIN.

Poor Jalen, this is going to be horrible. The kid is going to get killed. Bowles and Licht are already working on their post game excuses.
Bucs should have gotten another vet QB about a month ago. The answer is to fire Bowles and that miserable excuse for an OC and bring in Tomlin and/or Gruden. Licht should also be fired after the end of the season. He built this crappy team with guys that shouldn’t be starters. I am living 1976 all over again with these wankers.

I got bashed when I called him injury prone when the Bucs drafted him. Where are all the commentators that changed their names. Come out and face me. I don’t have anything against the kid. He is good and talented but he couldn’t play a whole season in college.

Proof it’s the coaches that make the difference…. Bears can beat the eagles with a 39 year old backup! Their game plan was not boring. They still went out and played aggressively and creatively. We need a young offensive minded coach who can right the ship or our window of winning anything will close. Come on Glazers figure it out for goodness sake !!!!!
