2022: 8-10 including the playoff loss to the Cowgirls
2023: 10-9 including a 1-1 playoff record
2024: 10-8 including a playoff loss at home forcing zero punts
2025: 8-9 after starting 5-1 No playoffs
2026: 0-2 start including a home opener loss to the putrid Browns
Bowles total record: 36-38 A losing record overall
Only when you exclude the playoffs do you get 35-35.
The pampering of Bowles has to end.

Are we better than the opposition though? 2 wins in the last 10 games. Not sure I buy that. Letting Coen go will haunt this team for a decade.

At least on the bright side, with a ‘win’ today in the Bronx, the Rays can clinch the East, the Best Record in the AL, and the #1-seed (home field advantage) in the AL Playoffs. If they can somehow go 5-2 in these TOUGH final games with the Yankees & Phillies, they can get to 100-WINS, and at least have a shot at ‘home field’ throughout the Playoffs… At least maybe, the #2-seed behind only the Brewers. They’ll be #3 at worst regardless, as long as the can hold onto their Division lead. It’s SO RIDICULOUS. I thought MLB ‘fixed’ this after the Dodgers vs the Giants a couple of years ago, where they both were 100+Game WINNERS, and still had to face one another in the very 1st-Round. MLB has literally done EVERYTHING ‘RIGHT’ over the past 5-years or so, and ‘ratings’ and excitement are THROUGH THE ROOF. But, they STILL have this just ALL SCREWED UP. It must be changed IMMEDIATELY, after this season. It’s STUPID. And, it’s BS. It’s not fair, and it’s not what people/fans want to see. Hell, you’re going to have a #3-seed, who is just BARELY at 500. And, you’re going to have a “Best of only 3” YANKEES vs RED SOX Series, in the 1st-Fricken ROUND. It’s not fair for the real STRONG Divisions, and it’s NOT what’s best for the GAME. It’s not like in “Football,” where you have such a small sample-size… There. Are. 162. GAMES. Plus, everyone plays EVERYBODY. AND, especially NOW, since they have lowered the number of games played within the Divisions, from 19-games versus each team, to just 13… That’s a difference of 24-GAMES (76 to 52) in total, that are not being played within the Division. Anyway, it’s got to be fixed. And, GO RAYS… Let’s make a run at this thang!!!! Hopefully, we can get Shane back… If so, hell, I’d have him come outta the bullpen. I really wanted a STRONG “Lefty-Reliever” at the trade-deadline… Maybe, this could take care of accomplishing that.

The owners love Bowles and just re did his contract. Who wants to place bets Bowles is here this time next year. If they were going to fire him they would have done it this past off season. This could end the same way Greg Schiano did where people start putting bill boards up and start wearing bags on their head at the Licht House.

If they are sub 500 and miss the playoffs Bowles has to be dismissed.
Otherwise the Glazers need to sell the team. Keeping him would be proof that winning is no longer their goal.
I really don’t understand how he survived last year.
No one else on any other team would survive going from 5-1 to 8-9.
Losing to the Browns should have meant an instant pink slip.
How many moribund teams does it take beating Bowles teams to end this nightmare?

@ BucsFan81 – I guess, the Glazers didn’t want to be “that owner,” who signed or extended a guy to a 3-year contract, without him ever coaching/playing in the FIRST GAME of it. Hmmmmm, Baker’s doesn’t begin until next season… They really hit the “Daily-Double,” with those two!!!! Just mind-blowingly STUPID. Lazy. Comfort. Face-Saving. CLUELESS.

I hope Baker missing a wide open e2 to win the game – a simple throw any NFL QB is expected to make – at least gets a mention, since I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned anywhere.

They just signed Baker Mayfield to an extension. If you want proof that they’re not interested in winning, look no further than that.
In fact I’ve had a theory that the Glazers, who still have to meet the min NFL salary cap, might have an evil master plan at work. Tie the team to Baker, watch that bum singlehandedly keep losing games, and then make an outrageous demand for a new stadium. Coming off a terrible year, tied to a complete dud at QB who is impossible to move on from, there is no hope at all, the city tells the Glazers to hit the bricks – the fans are all mad… and BAM, you got the London Buccaneers starting in 2029.
Not saying that is the plan – but if I was an evil billionaire, I’d also extend Baker to try to kill of any fan interest knowing that piece of garbage wouldn’t give you any chance of winning games and kill local interest in the team.

A lot of fans like me have previously bought into the injury excuse that was used last season. For me the losing streaks reeked of lack of passion and urgency. Here we are 0-2 and Bowles is on record saying it doesn’t bother him that much. That line of thinking is exactly what is wrong with this team. Having grown up in the 70’s I have to say the players (and coaches) on this team remind me of actors in a Cheech & Chong movie. Figure out how to motivate this team or step down immediately.

I already wasn’t super pumped for the season because Bowles was still here. I bought in and thought okay maybe new players better players can fix it. Nope at this point, we have: lost Mike a franchise legend, fired all the other coaches, everyone is supposedly healthy, the one common denominator is Todd Bowles. No confidence anymore, he needs to go. We can hear all the anecdotes about how he’s different in the locker room and whatnot, but look at the results.
And for all of you calling out the Joe’s and Ira for not calling for Todd’s job, maybe they will get there, but these gentlemen have to work with the team on a daily basis. I mean when Ira called for Jason’s job it wasn’t the prettiest situation he had to deal with for a bit, the Joe’s are professionals. They all have relationships with just about everyone on the team. As much as I am done with Bowles I cannot speak for anyone else much less the fine proprietors of this site. So quit bashing them calling them weak for not being as angry as you.

@ Leopold Stotch – Well, it’s pointless anyway, calling for ANYONE’s head just 2-FRICKEN GAMES IN. Especially, when you already KNOW that it is ‘what it is’ and NO ONE is getting “FIRED” right now, regardless. I remember the Reds firing former “Reds-Great,” HOF’er (1B for the “Big Red Machine”), and their brand new Manager (at the time) Tony Perez just a few games in that one year, back when they were STILL a very respectable franchise.
Rays LOST the first one, in a game that was only 2-hours and 2-minutes long. And, you KNOW it’s a real “big-one,” when OVER 41,000 show up for an afternoon game in the Brox, on a Tuesday versus the Rays!!!! Need to get this ‘second-one’ tonight, with Ras on the mound versus Max Fried… Or, the pressure is could really begin to mount. LET’S GO, YANDY… Come-On, Man. It’s TIME. Need to clinch NOW.

So your defense of Baker is that he’s really inconsistent, can make a good throw sometimes, and then choke when it matters most.
Also trying to paint Hurst as the bad guy is some real nonsense. The ball placement was great, as I said during the game, but it was still a heavily contested catch on a wet field – and was clearly defensive pass inference on top of it. Just because 1st ballot HOF’er Mike Evans makes that catch doesn’t mean it’s the normal standard to judge everyone else by.

Here’s our franchise QB who will be here for years, impossible to move on from…
Baker through six games last year: 5-1, 1,539 yards, 12 TDs, 1 INT, 108.5 rating.
Since then: 3-10, 2,552 yards, 15 TDs, 17 TO’s (11 INTs, 6 fumbles), 81.5 passer rating.
But when he gets healthy… everything will be different.

@ Rod Munch – My question is has he taken his ‘physical’ yet, (&/or) already ‘signed’ the contract!? I’ve never heard a single word about passing his physical… There’s always a ‘physical’ involved before any ‘extensions or signings’ are handed out. So, what about this time… Crickets!? Also, those numbers are just mind-boggling… And, they STILLLLLL fricking DID THAT. It’s unbelievable. Just SO embarrassing. With ‘numbers’ like THAT, and when they didn’t even have to… With only 2 of the games included, are from this season. It’s just SICKENING. Shocking. And, I’m not sure that they even had him to pass a ‘physical’ first, either!? It not… Then, I bet HE ‘intentionally’ covered up and HID-IT. He flat-out hustled ‘em. I’d be investigating everything IMMEDIATELY, if I’m the FO. Again, how embarrassingly incompetent, if true.
