More Playing Time Coming For Jason Pierre-Paul
December 25th, 2025
Those “few great plays” from iconic Bucs edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul have a better shot of happening Sunday at Miami.
It’s not because JPP will be playing in his hometown market before a bunch of family, friends and business associates, it’s because JPP will get more snaps.
That was the word from Bucs oustside linebackers coach Larry Foote.
“He is going to get more snaps this week,” Foote said of JPP. “Last week, I thought he had a great week of practice. I’ve been getting on him because he fell down a couple times throughout those 12 snaps [against Carolina. So I had him on the sled today; make sure he gets those football legs back. I’ve been having a little fun with him in the meeting room. He did trip over the one guy’s foot, but he got to get into football shape.”
JPP is a confident cat. Joe talked to him privately at One Buc Palace on Tuesday. JPP is driven and healthy. He wants to play next season and he wants 100 career sacks. JPP has 98, including 3 1/2 in the postseason.

I’m so over this no pass rush! It’s nothing new, yet Licht keeps taking only half measures to correct it. It is beyond annoying!

Desperation spelled in 3 letters…JPP…the click is ticking…

He can’t do any worst than Braswell, Nelson, Reddick, Diaby
The invisible 4

He can’t be worse that what we currently field.
One last rant about our coaching: Bill Walsh had a philosophy that Coen used last year -design your play calling around the individual strengths of the players. Also, eliminate plays that expose an individual’s weakness’s. Hence Mayfield having an MVP type season. And, if they would have remained healthy all of last year, Godwin & Evans both would have had 1200+ yards receiving.
Also, every one of Walsh’s linemen had a college GPA of 3.0+. They had to comprehend the complexity of every single play, and always worked in unison. They were small by NFL standards, but many played in multiple pro bowls. Walsh’s offense was a symphony in action. So was Coen’s.
What we’re witnessing now is not! Players are not being utilized to their greatest INDIVIDUAL potential. Instead we’re being outplayed & OUTCOACHED!
With the offensive talent on this team we should be scoring 24+ pts every game. Instead we’re left with HS level play calling and our biggest players being non-existent at times. It’s exhausting to witness!

This is gross! Nothing wrong with JPP but he is RETIRED! He’s not a QB who can sit behind a good OL and rely on his arm. He’s edge player that depends on his legs, quickness and strength. Anyone older then 40 knows the legs go first.
This is an indictment against Jason Light. He has to go too.

It would be a great story if he can come back and make a difference and even play for this team next season with productivity. Here’s hoping.

@Lakeland
He’s already played better than Reddick & Braswell.

Merry Christmas Bucs Fans!

EVERYONE loves a good underdog story. Most don’t work out, but every once in a while it does. I know I’ll be cheering for JPP!

Let’s hope he doesn’t get injured trying to prove himself! Good luck!

Who dat?

Kool. Let him play.

Watching the film he got stoned on darn near every rep from what I can remember. I’ll give him that he may need a game or two to get his timing back. But the smart money says he’s maybe not done in his own mind, but the 23yr olds aren’t going to let the 37yo get the better of them unless it’s a crazy stunt or someone slips and falls.

He looked pretty terrible last week.

Anything to keep Logan Hall off the field is a bonus

I personally believe our players can be great…between developmental time and bad coaching, they are hampered.
Special Teams should have been fired 6 games into the year.
I can see giving rookie OC Grizz the year.
And Bowles would have gotten a full season regardless.
But now it is time to replace them.
BUT…those saying we need to wipe out the roster are trolls and haters. It makes zero sense to do that. Not with the talent we have.
Offense is really good when healthy. We just need a healthy starting offensive line (and we do not have that with 2 on IR).
Defense needs an influx of talent…which will come in the next draft.
Special Teams is a joke, and that is ALL on the ST coach.

He was rusty and didn’t play much. Hopefully this week will be different. But, again, he’s here for leadership.

Falling down, and tripping. I had him hit the sled to get his football legs back. What a joke. Joe going along with the gag. Heartbreak Ridge. Sir, what we have here is a cluster f@#k!
