Hopefully it’s b/c Bowles knows his time here is done. He should know he’s in trouble. Uninspiring, stubborn, soft and ineffective.
This collapse is historically bad- on the same level as Gruden’s last season when they went from 9-3 to 9-7.
INJURIES ARE NOT AN EXCUSE! The defense is healthy outside of 1 dude. And the head coach is the defensive coordinator! NO EXCUSES!
Winfield: he only plays to not get hurt since getting paid. No surprise to hear that he runs out of the locker room after losses. Dude got paid and completely regressed since. Zyon might be even worse, except he was never that good to begin with.
And that right there is one of my only big issues with Licht- he gets way too attached to his own guys. Zyon should have NEVER been paid that new contract. Otton should have been upgraded and replaced last year.
Lavonte: It’s sad, but I agree this is his final season. Father time has finally caught up. He’s one of the few guys on defense that actually cares, but father time is undefeated for a reason.
Ebuka: I think he’ll be fine long term, but these recent drops have been concerning. Can’t blame double teams when the ball keeps hitting you in the hands.
Special Teams: More like special ed. I’ve never seen a special teams unit that is this bad, and we have witnessed some TERRIBLE special teams in Tampa over the years…
