GameDay Tampa Bay

December 7th, 2025

Game 13

Slimy Saints (2-10) at Bucs (7-5)

Kickoff: 1 p.m.

TV: CBS (WTSP-TV Channel 10, locally). Hollerin’ Kevin Harlan, Gracie Hunt’s future father-in-law Trent Green and visually-pleasing Melanie Collins. To find out if this Bucs game will be broadcast via your local CBS affiliate today, click here.

Streaming: Paramount+, NFL+. (Geographic restrictions may apply; subscription may be required).

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa). Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 232 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed).

Weather: Bring your ponchos and garbage bags and remember umbrellas are banned at The Licht House. It’s going to rain today. The bulk of the rain should fall after people go home. But hey, it’s Florida, so you don’t know. WTVT-TV Channel 13 meteorologist and hardcore Bucs fan Paul Dellagato believes there is a 25 percent chance of rain during the game. Per AccuWeather.com, temperatures will be in the mid- to high-70s for tailgaters. By the time kickoff arrives, look for 79 degrees. In the second half, it should rise to 81 and winds will pick up with gusts over 20 mph, which ought to make kicking tricky. By the end of the game, the temperature will drop below 80.

Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Saturday, Bucs -8.5 (-110); over/under 41.5 (-110); Bucs moneyline -450.

Referees: Clete Blakeman and his gang will work today’s slimy Saints-Bucs game (we need more folks named “Clete”). Blakeman’s outfit is pretty fair, with home teams being 27-26 in games Blakeman’s posse have worked since 2016. This season only 44 percent of Blakeman’s flags have gone against home teams. Also, in games Blakeman and his gang have worked, the home team has won 63 percent of the time.

Injuries:

(The NFL, unless otherwise noted, does not include players on injury reports who are not on a team’s active 53-man roster. Players on injured reserve or the practice squad are not on a team’s active 53-man roster.)

Outlook: This should be a laugher. This should be a game where the Bucs put their throats on a team and pound the stuffing out of them. This Bucs team doesn’t often do that. Against the hapless Jets, the Bucs were losing late in the game. Against the three-win Cardinals, a team that has lost 9 of its last 10, the Bucs did just about everything in their power to keep the Arizona in the game. The Bucs were even outscored in the second half! It took Bucs coach Todd Bowles to unload on his defense for them to make a game-sealing stop. Joe is very underwhelmed with the Bucs and Joe doesn’t think they are a good team right now. Not the way they have played in November. Now we’re in December, where real football is played. Will the Bucs finally snap out of their trance and play decent ball? Today would be a good start. The Bucs slapped around the slimy Saints when they played them back in October in Lincoln’s Tomb. They need to do that again. The Bucs have not played with a spark or an aggression or seemed overly alive in weeks. That shouldn’t be. With the Stinking Panthers snapping at their ankles, the Bucs need to wake up. Will that be today, or will they once again try to snooze their way to a close, if not an uncomfortable win? Joe hopes not. But hope is such an ugly word.

Fun facts: For slimy Saints QB Tyler Shough passed for 239 yards and two touchdowns last week. In three of his last four games he has thrown a touchdown pass. … RB Alvin Kamara has 7,250 career rushing yards and 4,948 career receiving yards. He can become fifth player in NFL history with 5,000 career rushing yards and 5,000 career receiving yards. … WR Chris Olave had a touchdown catch last week and has a touchdown catch in two of his past three games. … mouthy DE Cam Jordan had two sacks in Week 13. … LB Demario Davis led team the slimy Saints with nine tackles in Week 13. He’s had at least nine tackles in five of his past six games. … CB Kool-Aid McKinstry had his third pick last week. He is tied for eighth-most interceptions this season. … Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has a touchdown pass in 11 different games this season. He became the second quarterback this century to have thrown touchdown passes to two different offensive linemen. … RB Bucky Irving is looking for his third-straight game against the slimy Saints with at least 80 yards rushing and a touchdown run. … WR Chris Godwin hopes to light up the slimy Saints yet again today. Last year in New Orleans, Godwin had 11 catches for 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Last week Godwin had his best game of the season with 78 yards receiving. … OLB YaYa Diaby had his sixth sack of the season last week against Arizona. He’s looking for his third game in a row today with a sack. … ILB Lavonte David has had at least six tackles in six of his last seven games. Against the slimy Saints in October, David had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery.  … S Antoine Winfield in October went wilding against the Saints. Winfield had six tackles that day as well as a fumble recovery and a pick. The zebras thieved Winfield of two touchdowns; he should have had a scoop-and-score and a pick-six. Disgusting.

Baker and Emily are the real deal! Loved the video and story. Teared me up. Congrats for the well-deserved nomination. So happy for the Space Coast Vipers that they got the help they needed from Baker and Emily too!

Ignoring a few light dustings (less than 0.05″), we haven’t had rain at our house in Odessa since August 28. Very very hopeful for this evening’s forecast to come true, not only for the moisture, but also because we may see more of Bucky and Rachaad. Also a good idea with Wirfs out.

Those poor announcers. Relegated to covering a game that isn’t being played.
