Kyle Trask Found Work

November 19th, 2025

Now a rival.

The Kyle Trask crowd is now throwing its Bucs gear in the trash (or at least shoving it into trash bags and throwing the bags in closets) and running to their local sporting goods store to stock up on Dixie Chicks gear.

Per Joe’s good friend D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Trask, the Bucs’ 2021 second-round pick, has found a job. Atlanta coach Raheem Morris announced today that the Dixie Chicks are signing Trask to their practice squad.

Atlanta was in need of a quarterback because Michael Penix blew out his knee over the weekend. Now Bucs killer Kirk “509” Cousins is Atlanta’s new starter.

Joe wishes Trask the best except when he plays the Bucs — if he plays the Bucs. Trask was always a class act. Just not a viable option at quarterback.

Would be very ironic if Trask winds starting for the Falcons due to some issue with Cousins when they play us in a few weeks……

  2. Aaron Says:

ok, when you see the defense line up like this…the defense end is covering the running back out of the back field 🙂

  3. SB~LV Says:

The stars are aligning for Buc fan torment
    😆😆😆😆
    Bucs pick @19

  4. heyjude Says:

Best of Luck to Trask. Happy for him.

  5. TheVerv7 Says:

Has he shown up on the injury report for his teeth being sore yet?

  6. Kenton Smith Says:

Yesterday when you guys reported Penix out Cousins in I thought good chance Cousins won’t be healthy when we play them. Imagine we’re facing Trask and Atlanta and he hangs 5 td passes on us. And we think our coaches and front office are uncomfortable now? Naw, that couldn’t happen. Then again. Life’s funny.

  7. DmanTX Says:

I hope Trask get some starts in ATL. After all this waiting, I’d love to see what I can do..

  8. Baking with Grizz Says:

It was not just to be a backup. They desperate to get all intel possible. They can’t afford to lose against us next month.

    The Traskies can breathe now.

  9. heyjude Says:

OMG, Kenton. That could actually happen. Maybe that is Raheem’s plan.

  10. Joe Says:

    😬 😬😬😬

  11. Mach Says:

Raheems job is on the line. They want to pick his brain on any information he has on the Bucs, raheem cannot afford to be swept 2-0.

  12. MelvinJunior Says:

Oh, wow. Wonderful. Well, of course… I mean, who else would it be LoL.

  13. 813BUCBOI Says:

    MACH

    BINGO!!!!

RAH knows if he beats the BUCS he may save his job lol

and i know Trask wants to bury baker and the Bucs lol

    GO BUCS!!!!

  14. Leopold Stotch Says:

    Gross

  15. Whatevs Says:

May not hear from Rod anymore. Check the Falcons forums, now that Kyle is working over there.

  16. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Wish him the best against everyone but us.

  17. Deeboooo Says:

This is great news! No chance the falcons beat us with loser trask

  18. Ugo Says:

Well if he ever does play, the Bucs are susceptible to deep passes and he won’t be able to capitalize on that due to his noodle arm.

I wish Trask the best but not the Traskies, these guys were a cancer for 3 years straight

  19. Davenport Says:

Does anyone honestly think that Trask knows anything about the Bucs that Atl doesn’t already know?

I wish him well and would love to see him start vs. the Bucs. Would make for an interesting watch.

  20. Mike Johnson Says:

Let’s wish Kyle luck. He played his string all the way out with us. Oftentimes in life, 2nd chances are when individuals shine. That’s what happened to me. Don’t hate..Congratulate.

  21. Fred Says:

Kyle gonna get out there and light us up!

  22. Maggs Says:

Kyle Pitts has to be the happiest man in the building. Those 2 were fantastic together in Gainesville.

  23. Alexandre Nascimento Says:

Joes, what do you think about signing WR Bradin Cooks, who was just released by the Slumy Saints?

  24. Co-Z Coolman Says:

He’s still better than Teddy “hospital ball” Bridgewater… js

  25. ATLBUC Says:

He’s still better at throwing the ball than Baker

  26. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Deeboooo – STILL sooooo sensitive LoL.

Ugo says: “I wish Trask the best but not the Traskies, these guys were a cancer for 3 years straight.”

Yeah, all 4 of them LoL. Trust me, the “Baker-Bois” were every bit as annoyingly, bad.

  27. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Nice guy, this signing means absolutely nothing.

  28. purplebeard Says:

I’m in agreement with some on here. The guy knows our defense inside out.

  29. adam from ny Says:

    whaow…

it could get interesting if he gets in the game in a few weeks…

imagine kirk is out, and traskie actually starts…how wild would that be !!!

  30. Hodad Says:

    Karma is a beotch!

  31. DBS Says:

Trask has gone to the Future. Practice Squad in Atlanta. Not the backup QB . No doubt Son of Trask and his many names is now a Falcons fan. Swearing he is better than everyone and should be the starter now.

    Entirely unlikely.

What is quite likely is that this team’s dedicated fanbase shakes its head as JL and this team’s coaching staff fails to draft and develop another 2nd round pick. Not just any 2nd round pick but a QB.

  33. Geno711 Says:

Personally, I don’t think the trivia question, who was the first quarterback drafted by the Bucs that ever signed a 2nd contract with the team should count as the dude never made it to the 1st game of the season.

  34. Kidfloflo Says:

Hope he takes a que from Goodfellas…And learned the two greatest things in life…Always keep your mouth shut, and never rat on your friends

  35. Marky mark Says:

They want him for Intel on our offence.

  36. Usfbucs Says:

Don’t forget who we have as our HC and DC. He has made than a few rookie/washed up QBs look like NFL MVPs. Trask and Pitts did put up some good numbers in college.

  37. Oneilbuc Says:

While some of y’all talking bad about Trask we’re about to be 6-5 with Baker Mayfield as our quarterback. Y’all need to be focused on Baker Mayfield turning over the ball again late in the 4th quarter again. He has to stop doing that if we are going to the NFC Championship because going one and done in the playoffs is not a successful season. Go bucs

  38. Vanessa Anne Says:

    Good for Kyle!

Except when he plays us, of course. Lol.

Seriously though, while I never want to see any player get injured, I hope he gets a chance to get some meaningful snaps and show the world what he can do.

  39. Proudbucsfan Says:

That’s right Vanessa Anne: Iv always wished the best Trask and I hope he proves to everyone he can be a good starter in this league Just not against us 😁

  40. Bartow Buc Says:

Kyle Trask is a winner!! I’m glad he found a job. I think he has a very good chance of starting over Cousins !! Think of it, another Mattie Ryan !!

    Go Bucs !!

  41. Tim Says:

    Best of luck Kyle.

  42. Jeff and Jack's grandpa Says:

Trask future guy is feverishly wacking the wood back and forth

  43. BakerFan Says:

Typical Traskies…. off the street out of a job to Practice Squad QB but….. the Traskies have him starting already over Cousins. Maybe they will go to JoeFalcons.com and pester the Falcons fans with their nonsense.

  44. Hold Up Says:

Not that Cousins needs any help figuring out Coach’s defense, but Trask was added for his knowledge of the team. Not great coming of this slide and having to make up ground in the last quarter of the season.

  45. Mobucs Says:

If Trask really understands our “complicated” defenses inside and out, we should have put him on defense since guys out ther now don’t seem to understand it.
