Luke Goedeke Designated To Return

November 3rd, 2025

Racing back to lineup.

Good news on the injury front.

The following suggests to Joe that the Bucs are not shopping for a right tackle.

The Bucs designated starting right tackle Luke Goedeke to return to the active lineup, per Adam Schefter of BSPN. This means Goedeke can, sometime in the next three weeks, be activated.

The move starts the clock on Goedeke being activated at some point in the next 21 days. If not, league rules say he is automatcially done for the year. He can begin practicing now.

So it appears, at worst, Goedeke might be activated for the Rams game in Los Angeles Nov. 23.

    Great news!!!
    Go Bucs!!!

  2. IrishTony Says:

Need him for LA and Buffalo.

  3. IrishTony Says:

So I’m guessing Bowles gives his presser and injury update (specifically Irving) on Wednesday?

  4. Nicholas Carlson Says:

    Phew!

  5. Obvious One Says:

    FINALLY….

He Can Not come back Fast Enough and it’ll take the rest of the season to get back into the Groove. BUMMED that we have No New News on Bucky.. We REALLY NEED A SPARK and that isn’t assured even if he started practicing hard today.

Anybody and everybody IS DESPERATELY NEEDED Yesterday! Of Course.. How about getting a couple new guys in house BY TOMORROW! Please…

  6. NotAlichtFan Says:

    Hey Bucs fans !
Your Ring of Honor GM Jason Light In The Loafers has decided not to trade
for Jaylen Waddle to shore up the Godwin, Evans, McMillan deficit but will bring back good ol’ Rakim Jarrett – I guess Roberto Aguayo wasn’t available and the Giants didn’t want to swap Jameis for Baker – as we all know, the Bucs are allowed to go to the Super Bowl only every 20 years

  7. RagingBrisket Says:

Based on the repotting here we were led to believe he was out for the season? Funny stuff

  8. NE Fan Says:

You are going to need him this week, a very young driven Patriots team is about to wup u arse.GO PATS!

  9. TampaBayBucFan Says:

    Great News!!!

I do think it’s near criminal that fans don’t receive information on injured players other than……” we’ll see when he gets back to practice” Surely more is known than that…..
We are the fans…..we pay for everything….give us the info we deserve.

  10. Gofortheface30 Says:

Goedeke was far and away the most important piece. Offense will be night and day with him alone. However, that 3 year GUARANTEED contract that Godwin signed is looking better and better baby. No recourse in the event Godwin is completely cooked. Hell yes. It’s alright, Rakim Jarrett to the rescue!

  11. Idroolpewter&red Says:

Best news I’ve had all day Joes! Thanks!

  12. johnnythemoon Says:

but booger said he was out for the year

  13. Aqualung Says:

Meanwhile, Todd needs to help the Gizz fix his horrible OL, blocking schemes, and Vomitous playcalling.

  14. Winny Testaverde Says:

Only means window is open. I just have a bad feeling about him ( and Godwin truthfully ) as it relates to anything in 2025. Technically the playoffs are in January…so maybe if the Bucs advance. He couldn’t put any pressure on his foot…and it’s a non-contact injury. The early $90 million top off Licht gave him may boomerang around to the his twig & berries.

  15. Whatevs Says:

Less than 24 hours to go to make this team better.

Are Jason and Todd content with another NFC South Championship or will they bring in talent to compete for a super bowl

  16. Old Sombrero Says:

Great news for Goedeke. Agreed, we need more to do better than NFC South Champions.

  17. Hodad Says:

All this worry at RT? Meanwhile the pressure has been coming from the middle where Barton has not lived up to his draft status, and RG has been a revolving door. Wirfs gave up more pressure last game than Heck, should we be looking for a LT? Glad Goedeke is coming back, but it’s still going to be awhile. Problem hasn’t been all Heck.

  18. Ryan Says:

After already embarrassing themselves by claiming Winfield mailed it in after getting paid, the next target is seemingly Goedeke. Staggering how little some fans know about the players on the team they follow…

  19. David Says:

    GREAT NEWS!!!

  20. Vanessa Anne Says:

    Excellent news!

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Joe never said he would be out for a the year. Some fans here did.

    Gofortheface30 Says:
” It’s alright, Rakim Jarrett to the rescue!”

What did you do? Pick a nobody to whine about?

We do not NEED to trade tor anyone. If a great deal happens to come available, then maybe a move is right.

But I’ll tell you right now…there is no one out there who is available that is worth trading for.

  23. firethecannons Says:

IMHO he (Goedeke) is the most important, he is the run game engine we are missing

  24. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Hodad Says
“All this worry at RT? Meanwhile the pressure has been coming from the middle where Barton has not lived up to his draft status, and RG has been a revolving door.”

I agree about Right Guard. But consider this: with RG being so weak, Barton has to try to help make up for that too.

If Luke returns, Heck can move to RG and the problem is solved.

    Hopefully.

  25. Brian in FL Says:

The glass eater couldn’t come back at a more welcome time.

  26. Saskbucs Says:

Goedeke is so important for us.

To the guys down on Barton, I get it. He hasn’t been very good. We gotta give him a break though. Guy is working his tail off to become a better C and next thing he knows he is play LT against a 1st rounder and Danielle Hunter.

Now he’s at C again with a revolving door beside him at RG, the Bucs have once again managed to slow an OLs development by playing him in 3 different spots his first 2 years.

  27. Beeej Says:

Jason Kelce sucked for his first 4 years

  28. NotAlichtFan Says:

    Buccaneer Bonzai Says :
“We do not NEED to trade for anyone.” hee hee then when Egbuka goes down with a hamstring we have Sterling Shepard or Tez as WR1 ? Bonzai will bet the rent money and his wife will make him sleep on the couch

  29. Jeff Says:

He won’t make it to halftime if he comes back this quick. Rest him up. The goal this year is to win 10, get in, and make a splash in the playoffs.

  30. JBBUCS_06 Says:

I was telling someone a couple of weeks ago, I’d prefer to get Goedeke back ahead of Bucky. I know it’s controversial to some, but with a healthy Luke we can send 5 in a route and Baker can Bake. W/O Goedeke, we have to help Heck and that limits our ability w/o ME13 and a back to normal CG14. We would be able to get Otton more involved like last season.

  31. Buc1987 Says:

Once again Jeff making outlandish claims….

Hey Jeff how bad is Luke’s foot?

See how you must know everything…

  32. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Like thats our issue, our issue are the coaches.

  33. JustOneGame Says:

Yes, the coaches who have guided this team to a 6-2 record through all the adversity the team has faced this year are the problem…

  34. MelvinJunior Says:

@ NotAlichtFan – I seriously, don’t know how many times I have to say it!? So, let’s give it another try today, for about the 4th-time. Waddle was a BAD CONTRACT the day the Dolphins agreed to it. And, it’s STILL a “bad contract” NOW. $28-MIL per year, for an injury-prone player. PERIOD. He was ‘injury-prone’ back in college at Alabama. And, he’s been ‘injury-prone’ literally, in EVERY SEASON since being a Pro (up until maybe just this season. I mean, EVEN for games that he has been ‘active’ he was usually listed as PROBABLE to DOUBTFUL to OUT going into them, and then would RARELY ever actually ‘finish them’ for having to leave early. So, WHY in the HELL, would WE ever want a bad contract on any player LIKE THAT!? It would be stupid. Annnnd, having to give-up a ‘high’ pick!? Ridiculous. Would make ZERO sense. It’s just absurd on so many levels. NOT worth-it. So, no-thanks! Let someone else do it… Though, they won’t.

  35. MelvinJunior Says:

So he’s basically, un-trade-able. NO ONE is taking on THAT CONTRACT. Only way, is IF the Dolphins are willing to eat-it, and I don’t see that happening right now, at this point. Maybe, MAYBE, this upcoming offseason would be the only way.

  36. MelvinJunior Says:

I mean, it would be SUCH a ludicrous BAD MOVE for any team to make, that I haven’t even heard HIS name mentioned whatsoever, at ALL… in regards to ANY trade. So, that’s the ‘big move’ that YOU would make!? Hmmmm… OhhhKaaayyy

  37. MelvinJunior Says:

The Dolphins would be LUCKY to get back a 6th-Round Pick, for THAT contract. So, how does that even benefit THEM (they’d surely be on the hook for a BUNCH of dead cap space to boot)!? Especially, when they’ll prob be moving on from Tyreek Hill anyway. WHAT would that leave them with!? So, they’re going to go into next season with NO WR’s on their roster that is worth a damn, then!? It would make ZERO sense. For all who’s involved.

  38. BigBoiBuc Says:

    Bring back Trey Palmer!

  39. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Still missin our best puller at RG. Goedeke being back helps, but if he needs the the majority of the 21 days to feel right playing, let him have it

  40. adam from ny Says:

big luke needs to shave his head and start ballin’…

maybe sprinkle a little glass on his green eggs and ham at the breakfast buffet too

  41. BucU Says:

“”The glass eater couldn’t come back at a more welcome time””

With one more injury the glass eater will be known as the glass tiger.

  42. Usfbucs Says:

This is great news, hopefully he is fully recovered and ready to play.

  43. 813bucboi Says:

rest him vs the PATS….let him kick off the rust vs the bills…

we need him back to form vs the rams!!!

    GO BUCS!!!
