Carolina Ups Record To 4-3

October 19th, 2025

Remember when the consensus was that the NFC South is once again a brutal division this year?

Well, now the division has three teams with a winning record after Carolina (4-3) punched out the winless Jets this afternoon in New Jersey.

Joe struggled through the game, a 13-6 Panthers victory. It really wasn’t that close. The Jets were brutal. (Joe’s notes to file away include revived stud Panthers nose tackle Derrick Brown batting down three passes.)

Panthers QB Bryce Young left the game late in the second half with a messed up ankle. Of course, the Panthers have backup QB Andy Dalton, who is the perfect quarterback if you want to win 40 percent of your games.

Carolina (4-3) is now on a three-game winning streak with Buffalo next week. Atlanta (3-2) is at San Francisco tonight.

You could see it building up last year. They lost close games and played tuff. They are on the verge of controlling their own destiny, at least for now. That’s something Carolina hasn’t been able to do in a long time. I kinda expected them to be in the .500 range or so this year. Go Bucs!

  11. Miller5252 Says:

Joe, you heard anything on Doug Martin passing away at 36? If it’s true, man that’s way too young!

  12. Jeff Says:

Carolina sweeps the Bucs. Mark the tape.

    Good for Canales.

  24. Cardiac kidz Says:

Seems like the Panthers are a bit better than last year, but their offense is one sided to the run game. The Bucs D is built to stop the run, I’m sure we will take them seriously but as a team; the stinkin Panthers aren’t going anywhere this year.

    Keep the tape Jeff Says!

    RIP
    Doug Martin

  25. #99 the big fella Says:

Jeff is a loser troll who has nothing better to do than run his mouth

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Panther are one game above .500.

    I’m not worried at all.

They’ll fire their coach after this year.

  27. Oxycondomns Says:

49ers need give bucs some breathing room

  28. FortMyersDave Says:

Beating the Jets is not a statement win, in fact Joe was kind in saying that the score was closer than it should have been. The Jets were simply bad and Carolina’s D took advantage of a horrible offense. That being said, how did Todd Bowles’ D allow this bad Jets O to make a game of it a few weeks ago?

As far as Carolina goes, let’s see where they are at in a month. Afterall, everyone was claiming that Coen and his London Jaguars were the new power in the AFC North after they beat the Chiefs but then they lost to Seattle and only scored 12 and today they got boat-raced by an injury depleted Ram team 35-7 and Coen’s O looks dead in the water.

  29. ATLBuc Says:

Canales doing good, Cohen doing good. Todd Bowles is developing his coaching “tree”

  30. orlbucfan Says:

The Jets are really pathetic. The refs gave them every chance in the book to win. It reminded me of the 1980s Bucs teams. We were so lousy the refs didn’t bother. Plus, Culverhouse was too cheap for bribes. The NFC South is starting to cycle upwards. This NOLA game right before the Bye will not be some walk in the park. I hope my Bucs win tomorrow night, but not if it costs us Feisty Bake. GO BUCS, 6-1!!

  31. garro Says:

Carolina is beginning to scare me a little. I hated writing that BTW…

    Go Bucs!

  32. Marky mark Says:

Does not mean much. Jets are super bad but not like shaft.

  33. Beeej Says:

Jets did Rodgers a yuge favor
