Buccaneers 38, Seahawks 35

October 5th, 2025

Someone put Logan Hall’s helmet in the Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor.

Sam Darnold fired a late pass into Hall’s head and Lavonte David caught it to set up the winning score.

What. A. Game!

The Bucs are 4-1!

Joe is fired up.

Who needs defense when you have this Bucs offense? The Bucs just put up 38 points without Mike Evans and Bucky Irving.

Remember a week ago when the Bucs defense choked out the Eagles in the second half, holding them to negative yardage while Jalen Hurts didn’t complete a pass?

Those guys didn’t make the flight to Seattle.

The Seahawks carved up the Bucs in ways Joe hasn’t seen in years. Sam Darnold was 28-of-34 for 341 yards and 4 touchdowns. Sam Darnold! That’s an 82 percent completion rate.

Joe is certainly not blaming cornerback Kindle Vildor, who started in place of injured Jamel Dean/Benjamin Morrison. The entire defense broke down repeatedly.

It didn’t matter.

Baker Mayfield owned Seattle with 29 completions on 33 attempts for 379 yards and two touchdowns.

Emeka Egbuka is a star. Tez Johnson is a player. Rachaad White got the job done. Cade Otton emerged from the shadows.

The Bucs’ offensive line was dynamite starting Charlie Heck and Luke Haggard.

What a “W!”

Defense? Pffft. Pass rush? Hahaha. The Bucs didn’t need either today.

  1. Alstott40 Says:

No. Please do not let one lucky pick off a helmet bounce change the fact that our defense was atrocious today and we should have lost. That was embarrasing.
Jiminy Christmas. It’s football. The Bucs had too much firepower for Seattle. Smile. –Joe

  2. Sapp 2 Fundamentally Sound Says:

Did anyone even doubt that Baker was going to do what does
    Again & Again & Again & Again
    4-1
    GO BUCS

  3. ChiBuc Says:

Chase had as many tackles as Reddick

  4. Davenport Says:

Horrific defense, bad special teams. This is not the look of a championship caliber team.

A win is a win but it doesn’t change the fact that we have a bad head coach who will NEVER get us to the SB

  5. Colonel Angus Says:

Sad day for the doom and gloomers. The Fighting Bowles came through again! This game took years of my life.

  6. Ufcguy1979 Says:

Did u watch kirk cousins last year joe?????? Years. He torched us. Darnell torched us

  7. Dano407 Says:

What a win man! So glad to see Tez ballin’ out there!

Alstott, nice way to not enjoy a huge win. I’m sure you’re great at parties too.

  11. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Defense needs a lot of work. But we have Mayfield. Advantage Bucs.

  12. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

Crazy game. So glad to get the victory!

I’ll be the first to admit that R White looked better than Tucker today.

    Kudos to him

And great game by Mayfield, Egbuka, & Tez Johnson too

  13. FairMinded Says:

Better to be lucky than good! And we’re both. What a season so far!! I was so damn wrong about Egbuka. Eating crow, my shoes and my hat on that one

  14. Irishmist Says:

Ray J going to have to start selling rescue inhalers at the concession stands.

  15. Lewi Says:

    Never in doubt lol

  16. Bonan Says:

The defense was rough and so was the offense in the early game. Doesn’t matter. Bucs won. On to the next.

  17. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Found a different way to win today, defense gotta get its act together but hey we got an offense that can score. Job Well done by Grizzard, Baker and the rest of our guys, especially EE2 and Tez(?!)

  18. firethecannons Says:

Crazy good game wow some specific players were amazing with amazing plays! They never gave up, wow Darnold was good but we were better.

  19. FlumundaCheese Says:

I’m done with Diaby. Guy makes more “almost” good plays than anybody ever, but none ever amount to anything. Need to move on from him and Reddick.

  20. Steven007 Says:

Yes, the defense was abysmal. But our offense was pretty warm. Hard to over criticize a big win. Are there things that need to be cleaned up? Obviously. Starting with special teams coverage and adding the entire defense, at least for this game. But a win is a win and they are hard to come by. Enjoy it.

  21. WestCoastBucsFan Says:

If only we could get last week’s 2nd half defense and this week’s offense in the same game for the whole game! And get healthy? We’d be pretty near unstoppable.

  22. Outrigger Says:

    No Defense
    Non Special Teams
    No Problem

  23. Permanently Moderated Says:

C’mon. Every QB carves up the Bucs defense.

  24. DailyRich Says:

A ticky-tack contact call negated a big play by the defense and that seemed to take the wind out of their sails.

  25. Woodman Says:

    Where’s Jeff suck it..

  26. LongSeason Says:

I don’t have any nails left. Love that we responded and beat a team with a winning record.
Let’s hear it for Emeka Egbuka, Baker Mayfield, Rachaad White, Lavonte David. and Logan Hall’s helmet.
    4-1
    LFG!
    GO BUCS!

  27. Sapp 2 Fundamentally Sound Says:

Remember Jon Gruden in 2002 when some of the complaining lil bitches were talking bad about the offense….he asked another coach “What’s are record?”

  28. 941bucsfan Says:

Bucs Win!! Never aplogize for a win.. it wasnt too long ago when the bucs would lose games like this. Seattle has a top 5 defense and got torched.. Sh!t happens. Bucs win

  29. JA Says:

Took a bounce off the helmet to do it, but the defense finally got a stop.
Man, that was an exercise in defensive ineptitude. But they got the bounce that won it.
Guess if I was a Seattle fan I wouldn’t be too happy either.
Made me crazy, but what a game!
And another last second win. Can’t keep this up.
Gotta get better on that side of the ball.
Still no Bowles fan. Again, they won despite him, not because of him.

  30. Durango 95 Says:

    Amazing Game.

    Great Victory.

    Baker & Emeka: Spectacular.

    Lavonte David FTW.

    Bucs Fans Rejoice!

  31. SlyPirate Says:

I love it when we win and all the comments are negative.

Try this one on first size people:

GO BUCS!!! Great road win vs 3-1 team.

  32. FairMinded Says:

Gotta give Rachaad a TON of credit. No diva behavior, no pouting, stayed ready and when his touches come he just keeps producing over and over again. Kid is something special and I have not been a fan. Just a solid solid person and player

  33. Inwoodjeremy Says:

Victory Monday incoming. Hall’s head got revenge for int flag earlier.

  34. Kenton Smith Says:

That one was more fun than a barrel full of monkeys!!

  35. D-Rok Says:

EE: 7/7, 163 yards, 1 TD. Phenomenal. Even stunning perhaps.

What a boring first half!!! And then just like that, BOOM! Tough actin’ Tinactin. (Channeling my inner John Madden).

    What a freakin’ game!!!

This team just might have “it,” that winning spirit.

  36. Bucschamp Says:

    I want halls helmet

  37. Dom Says:

Offensive reinforcements coming soon. The league better watch out

  38. Eric Says:

That’s one of the few lucky breaks those uniforms have ever seen. Go Bucs! Tied for best record in NFC.

  39. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“If only we could get last week’s 2nd half defense and this week’s offense in the same game for the whole game!“

This happens, depending on the talent of our opponent, they might just get dominated for 60 minutes.

  40. JReel Buc Says:

    Fire Bowles !!!!

  41. Will24 Says:

The Seahawks are a damn good team and that was a good win. Defense needs some big adjustments with all the injuries and special teams continues to be a major issue, but this was still a HUGE win. This team is capable of beating anybody. I’m scared to death of the Bills though.

  42. #99 the big fella Says:

We won !we are 4-1 and the crybabies are still out in force

  43. Tbbucs3 Says:

Gritty Win….thats how you win in the NFL…the defense will get fixed

  44. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

    Alstott40 GFY

This banged up team finds a way! Refs took away a game changing pick, DOESN’T MATTER, we found other ways! This team finds a way! LET’S BAKE!

  45. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    🏈 Godwin limping in 4th quarter…concerning.

    🏈 EE is money.

🏈 Kicker issues are resolved. Good thing the Bucs are more patient than the fans.

🏈 Defense is horrid. I saw a runner blow right past Reddick. I realize he was the best we could get when we signed him, but I don’t see him getting another contract unless he steps things up. He was also at fault for the Seahawks scoring at least once.

🏈 First in conference. Love it. If this team can just get healthy and stay healthy, it would be unstoppable.

🏈 I expected the defense to take at least 6-8 games to be any good. Rookies.
Look’s like it will be closer to 8 -9 games.

  46. Mhystc Says:

Emeka is a top 5 WR in the league right now. Kid is balling, that’s Mekatron. Defense needs serious work if we’re going to be contenders in the playoffs, need pass rushers, yaya hasn’t been good since his rookie season, it’s always almost sacks.. Reddick needs to stop dropping into coverage, it’s almost like he’s a CB.

  47. Daniel Dream Says:

When you overcome injuries and beat a good team, that’s reason to have optimism about the direction of this season. I personally thought it was a pretty dang epic game. Those are 2 great QBs i saw and 2 of the best WRs I’ve seen in my life. I said it before I’ll say it again: you can bet on EE making the hall of fame. To get to see him play with 2 HoF and one of the best WR of all time if not the best ever, i think this will be a season to remember

  48. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

What does it take to get the Special Teams Coach fired?

  49. Chef Baker Says:

LVD54 gets the game ball! Thanks Bucs for raising my BP up! I’m going to be on meds by Thanksgiving yall keep this up!! Clean up the tackling defense! Cha$e was money today! I’m sold on buying meka’s jersey! Rest up guys, niners up next!!

  50. ATLBuc Says:

After a great road win like this, it’s amazing how many Debbie Downers there are spewing negativity. With as many injured players as we have, we still found a way to win in a hostile environment. GO BUCS!!!!!

  51. Tbbucs3 Says:

Baker Mayfield is someone you just trust when to take you down the field in a clutch moment.

Does it time and time again.

  52. ballwasher61 Says:

Fighting through injuries, some bad luck and certainly crappy calls by the ton and still getting it done. Big play when needed. Winfields pick called back. Don’t know what changed in the 2nd half but sheesh. Hat’s off to Seattle and Darnold, they didn’t give up and made a ton of plays too.

  53. Canabuc Says:

So a few weeks ago, said ZaDarius Smith and Jadaveon Clowney were both available as free agents and instead of getting either of them we decided to rely on what we have. So far we have a $13 million guy who is on pace to get paid $4 million per sack this year and our past rush looked completely anemic. I know we lost Kancey and Walker never made it to opening day…. but still I think we should look into a team like the New York Giants, who aren’t going anywhere and make a trade as they have a glutton of pass rushers.

  54. Colonel Angus Says:

2-0 in the 76’ all whites. Wear them all season.

  56. ballwasher61 Says:

And how bout Egbuka and his mom?

  57. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I would remind fans…the goal in the regular season is to win enough to make the playoffs. They don’t have to be a Superbowl team until then.

The hope is that they win and improve by then.

  58. LongSeason Says:

Good Lord I hate winning. I can never get used to it. But I’ll try. 😉

  59. Mhystc Says:

    ST needs to be fired.

  60. Tbbucs3 Says:

    4-1

“CLEAN HOUSE, FIRE EVERYONE” – Bucs Fans

  61. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Egbuka’s mom should get the game ball.

  62. Fred McNeil Says:

    WOW!!! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!
Even if we lost that fantastic game I could not be mad, but I’m still suing the team for for the stress on my heart anyway.

  63. jcscycles Says:

We won in what may be the hardest place.in the league for a visitor to win in. Back home.at 4-1!

    Go Bucs!!!

  64. Sheen Says:

Once again had to beat the refs and the opposing team

Missed 2 handed horse collar and phatom def holding on 31’s pick. They really need to figure something out on these calls…call it all or let em go

  65. KABucs Says:

    Stop whining.
This was a solid Seahawks team.
We never play well on the West Coast
No Evans, Irving, Goedeke, Dean, Morrison, Mauk, Keift…
They have their own version of Egbuka… but today EE was better.

    4-1
Take it to the 49ers. Game of the week next week.

  66. Oneilbuc Says:

    Baker for MVP.

  67. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Fred McNeil Says:
“Even if we lost that fantastic game I could not be mad, but I’m still suing the team for for the stress on my heart anyway.”

    I take medication now, lol.

  68. Allen Lofton Says:

The Bucs are very fortunate they won. Not having Bucky and Mike effected the game, especially in the running game. Next Sunday is the San Francisco 49’ers with no Bucky or Mike. Are they going to pull out another 🐇 rabbit out a Bucs helmet.

The defense couldn’t stop the Sea Hawks passing game. They would have lost except for Logan’s helmet and David’s interception.

  69. Fred McNeil Says:

    W!

  70. Oneilbuc Says:

Defense got to play better Reddick is trash 🗑️

  71. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

That Seattle crowd was LOUD, lol.

  72. Whatevs Says:

Wooo Hooo. Todd The Genius wins again.

Greatest Coach in the history of the NFL.

A HC so out of his league, but getting paid is consistently being bailed out by the offense and a weak division.

That is Genius. A real American hero. There is only one other person so unfit for the job, but getting paid in this country. Make the Bucs Great Again.

  73. BuccaDawg Says:

The cardiac BUCS!! Give me the BUCS & Our Mayfield led offense under 2 min Ill Take the BUCS everytime. RESILIENCE? HEART. DESIRE BUCS WIN!!!!!

  74. Bucs Fan Since ‘76 Says:

C’mon negative Nellie’s! This happens in the NFL. Seahawks have a top D, although their secondary had two starters out, and we beat them up.

Yeah, our special teams are terrible and our D game plan was strange to say the least. But Todd finally blitzed, moving Darnold ever so slightly off his spot, bad arm angle, and boom, pick and the win. Go Bucs!

  75. JimBobBuc Says:

LVD’s interception closes the game out. Who says turnovers aren’t important?

McLaughlin for MVP today. In addition to the game winning kick, he had two kickoff tackles that prevented return TDs.

  76. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Allen Lofton Says:
“The defense couldn’t stop the Sea Hawks passing game. They would have lost except for Logan’s helmet and David’s interception.”

    Part of the game.

  77. Curse of Gruden Says:

White looked good. EE excellent. Baker baked.

  78. Bucsalltheway Says:

Hope yall used my free leg I gave yall with the rachaad white 2tds lol

  79. Daniel Dream Says:

Mhystic- that’s a good one, Meke-tron. We always called him Meka or Mek or Buka or sometimes just “E” here in Ohio but nobody ever came up with Mekatron that i can recall. Nice! I hope it sticks. I can tell you in Ohio he’s considered a hero because he came back his senior year to win the National Championship and he’s the top WR in the history here where so many all time greats have played. I was so happy the Bucs drafted him because I’m sure he’ll be an all-time great and make it really easy for Baker, just buckets. No one can really stop us now, wait til we get Evans and Bucky back we are gonna be rollin!

  80. #99 the big fella Says:

Whatevs you are probably the dumbest person around.

  81. Oneilbuc Says:

    Baker for MVP

  82. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Whatevs Says:
“A HC so out of his league, but getting paid is consistently being bailed out by the offense and a weak division.”

We’ve only played one division game, dummy, lol. And Bowles is the guy who insisted we get Mayfield, so he gets credit for the offense.

  83. Danfan Says:

If my maths is correct, in 5 games, Egbuka has 445 yards! what a start to that young man’s career.

Baker 29-33, 379 yards, 2 TDs, no INTs, and one of those was a dropped catch by Godwin (fingers crossed he’s just rusty, and no new injury)

  84. Josh Says:

Offer a 4th-round pick for Hendrickson — ideally aim for a 3rd, but realistically be prepared to go up to a 2nd. Make the call tomorrow and present the offer while you’re on the phone. If they hang up, be clear that the highest you’re willing to go is a 3rd.

  85. Fred McNeil Says:

@Allen Loften, Hall really used his head.

  86. Sheen Says:

    Whatever whatevs…s…t…f…u

  87. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Danfan, Egbuka is on pace for 17 TDs too.

  88. Bartow Buc Says:

There was nothing wrong with our defense tonight. They played against a fabulous offense lead by Darnold, who seemed like he could do no wrong. Bucs defense also played against a horrible officiating crew who made some atrocious calls tonight. Then when we needed it the most we received a gift off of Halls helmet. And that was all she wrote.
Baker Mayfield played one heck of a game !! Tez Johnson shined Egbuka was remarkable !!! Rashaad White was absolutely amazing !! The Bucs offense was absolutely outstanding!!!

    Bucs are 4-1 !! Beat the 49ers !!

    Go Bucs !!

  89. Tucker Says:

Leave that special teams coach in Seattle please

  90. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Our coaches are not good. Our team is better than this.

  91. Danny Mac Says:

Not playing. Mike Evans. Bucky Irving.Jalen McMillan. Luke Goedeke. Cody Mauch.Kancey. Dean. Morrison. In the loudest stadium against a more rested team. Still a bunch of cry baby loser keyboard warriors. Go Bucs!!!

  92. Buc in VA Says:

    Tecmo Bowl quality

  93. Baking with Grizz Says:

    4-1 Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our offense is coming back to normal. Over 30 points!!!!!!

    LFG!!!!!!

  94. firethecannons Says:

we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as usual this year. Seahawks must be heartbroken, oh well! They have a good team!

  95. mj Says:

i’m not giving that one back that was a great win. The bucs deserved it. There were so many bad calls against them the last two weeks…we need to get healthy on defense and offense and watch out!

  96. ElioT Says:

    Yaya + Reddick = bag of p*ssies.

    Prove me wrong

  97. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Last week there were a lot of bad calls/no calls.

    This week? Maybe 3.

  98. Deez Says:

Bonzai, Todd is responsible for our offenses as well

  99. Fred McNeil Says:

@Buccaneer Bonzai: We’re trying to celebrate a fantastic game and a heart stopping victory. Go pee on someone else’s parade you stinkin’ troll.

  100. Fred McNeil Says:

@buccaneer Bonsai: my bad. I must have misread.

  101. Eric Says:

Cry me a river haters. NFL games are designed to come down to the last drive.

  102. Chef Baker Says:

Deep ball is back! Nice seeing Cade get in action today

  103. bob in valrico Says:

As expected Seattle’s defense was good against run. Richaad still made plays.
Sean Tucker was not impressive. Give Richaad the ball. He is a smart football player and Grizzard Cohen and Grizzard were slow to recognize it.

  104. Truth be Told Says:

The Putrid Pass Defense is still Putrid! And now our Kickoff Teamm allows returns to the 50 every time. Thank God for Baker! This Team knows how to win!

  105. Old Sombrero Says:

I couldn’t watch the game up here in Jax. Forget about how they won, they won. Winning ugly games is part of the journey. It’s incredible they’re 4-1 considering the injuries. It’s unheard of. Credit to the players who stepped up. It’s a testament to organization.

  106. Joaquim Valente Says:

For the Bucs to go to Seattle with all the injuries we have and play the way we did and win against the Seahawks who are a strong team says a lot. It wasn’t always pretty but it damn sure was exciting! All you b!tches whining and complaining are the same ones who gave this team no chance to win to begin with. GO BUCS!!!

  107. Canabuc Says:

So this is my evaluation and concerns and questions so far this season.

First, I would say this was finally the best coordinated game by Josh Grizzard so far this season. He was creative with most of his play, calling, used motions and screens, and got the tight ends involved and finally made use of the athleticism of Tez Johnson.

Concerns going forward our number one injury related concerns on offense. It sounds like Bucky Irving will miss at least one more week. Additionally I expect that Mike Evans probably won’t be back before the Detroit game. There was also some limping by Chris Godwin and hoping it is nothing that keeps him out of the lineup because even though he was only average today, just his presence there takes a bit of pressure off double E.

Defensively I have some major concerns as everybody does. Hopefully the past coverage will improve when we get back Morrison and Dean. I had trouble seeing in this game and I don’t know if anybody else did was but I did not see Elijah Simons very much on the field and I did not see much of Elijah Roberts either. I thought both of them had been playing well in the previous games, but it seemed like our line upfront didn’t have much meat on it outside of Vita Vea and that let them push the pile and run against us.
We need to find a pass rush. We couldnt or didnt blitz much because we didnt have the needed pieces in the secondary. We have to trade for one or look into scheming some pass rushers because Darnold had too much time in the pocket.

    Special teams:
    The positives- no blocked kicks
Chase is $ in the bank again

Negatives- Coverage on kicks was a$$. How do we let a guy get to the 50 time after time. Some of this might be that the kicks are not giving coverage team enough time to get there or else they do not know how to tackle. Either eay this has to be drilled until every guy pukes special teams.

If we can win 3 of our next 6 of which only 2 will we likely be favored in that gets us to 7 and 4. Hopefully by then Bucky, Luke, Jalen and our corners and Izien are all back healthy.

  108. Daniel Dream Says:

I’m still pi**ed at the dam* refs. that terrible illegal formation call that wasn’t, the defensive hold on Winfield’s pick was just garbage, everytime Seattle needed bailing out the refs were there with a 🗑 call, we beat Seattle and the refs and the fans there were great and Darnold was great, JSN is incredible (but EE even better) but we got a great win regardless, gutsy, big plays, Baker is the NFC MVP and we are 1st place!

  109. Daniel Dream Says:

Rashaad White is a playmaker. Not to cast aversion but i remember quite a few ready to jump ship on him but Bowles always was a believer in the kid and he’s showing why he’s a valuable part of the team. even with Bucky healthy, his change of pace and abilities in the pass game are an important part of our offense

  110. SenileSenior Says:

One whale of a game! Don’t tell me Bowles isn’t a good HC as well as a DC! The team was well prepared.

Bucs win! Bucs win! Bucs win!

  111. orlbucfan Says:

I’m cheering. For once, the refs did their job. I listened to it by radio. I started feeling it when the Bucs scored the first TD. I knew it would be by Cardiac Bucs. Why is all the hostility directed to the original colors and logo?

  112. Gipper Says:

There are a lot of posters here who revere RodMunch so much that they would like to marry him. Here is what I know for sure. Munch has been consistently negative on Baker Mayfield since he came to Tampa more than 2 years ago. Munch was told by people who know Mayfield that he is an elite QB. As recently as a week ago Munch insisted that Baker “can’t throw long.” Just more Munch nonsense. I am in favor of Munch disappearing forever from these pages until he admits his mistakes and ask for forgiveness.

  113. Dubcity6 Says:

This is a great football team. Beat a great team. Always composed and ready. Loving this year already

  114. Mac Says:

    Well said Danny Mac

  115. firethecannons Says:

Joe says: “Jiminy Christmas. It’s football. The Bucs had too much firepower for Seattle. Smile. –Joe” Joe is completely correct. There was time when Bucs would lose this game over and over again. Bucs are in every game now. Baker was fantastik–as good as Darnold was or better as he can scramble. Honestly when did Darnold get good? wow–he was dialed in, logan Hall raised up just in time and Lavonte David did not drop this interception. I just love the SeaHawks expecting to win and once again Bucs come away victorious.😀

  116. BucsFan81 Says:

It was a great game the other team gets paid also and Seattle was 3-1 so they are a good team. Wish we drafted DE like we do WR though and we would be even better. Still no pass rush

  117. BuccinBaker6, Says:

Seattle had a great game plan for this defense an executed also this game would have looked Alot different if AWJ Int would have counted or Yaya would have got that pick 6 or even Zyon had a pick 6 he dropped but this defense kept fighting an the offense came alive

  118. Dan the Bucs Fan Says:

This is the toughest stretch of our schedule any win in this 4 game stretch is huge! After the Bye outside of Buffalo we will be favored in every game! 4-1 with the 26tj ranked defense in the NFL is pretty incredible stuff! Baker is the MVP of this league!

Easy schedule second half will slow us to get healthy heading into playoffs.

No matter what happens we must do whatever it takes to get a pass rusher next season honestly don’t care if we drafted 7 pas rushers in next years draft we have to find a way to get to the Qb!

So much fun to be a Bucs fan and graduated from OU so to have Baker here is just next level incredible for me!

  119. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

As far as I know we have the potential for having more players become available than unavailable next week for the first time all year. The fact that we say that and are 4-1 is a reason to be optimistic.

No, it doesn’t mean we are wonderful, that Todd is suddenly the best coach ever or unicorns are farting rainbows. It just means we are a good team with a good record getting healthier.

It’s ok to be happy after a win, people.

  120. buc4evr Says:

Just happy the Bucs escaped with a win. All the injuries would have been a legit excuse if we lost, but Baker just kept coming back and never gave up. The guy is a legit top 5 QB. Defense looked horrible but they made two critical plays that won the game. Special teams – wow no words for the poor coverage. Better to just kick the ball in the end zone and let them start on the 35. Hope we see some defensive players come back next week against the 49ers.

  121. Dano407 Says:

EE is AMAZING. Thank God cause Godwin looks hurt again.

  122. Beeej Says:

We’re 4 and 1 and most of the posts are b!tching about ST and Def

  123. Rjscheapseats Says:

Wow. It was good to hear Brady praise the Pays for the win. Flying across the country to play good team is hard.
In the long run missing Mike may speed up number 2’s development.

There are obvious issues on D
But this is not a team another team wants to see in the playoffs

  124. Dano407 Says:

Bucs need to draft at least 3 pass rushers next draft!

  125. adam from ny Says:

    defense has a real issue…

special team return defense a real issue…

godwin looking slightly injured or tender footed, can’t be good…he doesn’t look like himself at this point…

ilb’s not looking good…then LVD saves the day…

    exciting action packed game…!

bake looking good, as well as both rookie receivers…

otton looks like he can do this every game if they call his number more…

edge guys always a step too late…

zyon looked especially bad in the first half and not a good game for him…

a blueprint has now been facilitated on how to march up and down the field, as if the defense is a group of toy soldiers…

we are winning games this year by a single wild nose hair 🙂

  126. Obvious Says:

When we are healthy and we still have as many defensive and ST issues, you’ll hear me talk about it. But not now. We are finding ways to win while we are depleted.

Don’t care how it happens. Just get to Detroit 5-1 and maybe we can get Irving, Evan’s and Luke back.

  127. Rod Munch Says:

Seattle has the worst radio ever, I want to tune in to their post-game to hear their fans cry and they have a location lock — for RADIO?!? It’s not the game broadcast, it’s the post-game. I’ve never seen this before. What a stupid worthless city and team, now I have to wait hours for some podcast to hear them yelling and crying. This is BS.

  128. firethecannons Says:

Bucsfan 81–if we had drafted Edge in round 1 then we would not have Egbuka and would be 0-5 at this point. I would like to leave the drafting to Jason Licht and his team and leave you out of it. We could do better buying edge though. BTW our draft edge pic tore his acl so there is that.

  129. Outrigger Says:

Where was the blitz today. For most of the day we just rushed our front four and gave Darnell all day to throw. Todd finally dialed a blitz on the LD interception. Not nearly enough blitzes today

  130. Jamaican Jaris Says:

CELEBRATING the win with this Joebucsfan team!
    Any word on injuries??

  131. BUC4L Says:

We should trade for Trey Hendrickson!

  132. BUC4L Says:

If we can’t draft em trade for em!

  133. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

    Buccaneer Bonzai Says:
I would remind fans…the goal in the regular season is to win enough to make the playoffs. They don’t have to be a Superbowl team until then.

The hope is that they win and improve by then.
    ——————————————————
    ^^^^^^^THIS!!

The Bucs did not look like a championship team by game 5 during the two seasons we won the Super Bowl.

It’s a bit premature to judge the team at this point. But when they’ve got as many injuries as they have and serious issues on special teams, yet they’re still 4-1, that’s a really good sign.

If we can end the season relatively healthy, no one is going to want to see the Bucs in the playoffs.

What concerns me the most though is the lack of sacks or intense pressure on the opposing QB. I do believe Licht will make a move by the trade deadline.

  134. Gipper Says:

    Munch,

    See above.

  135. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, the Bucs are undefeated in the all-white Bucco Bruce throw-backs. These need to be the new full time uniform.

  136. Jamaican Jaris Says:

    on the edge issue …
… we had a chance to sign Calais Campbell
    and Za’darius Smith.

Reddick wasn’t the only edge in play

  137. Whatevs Says:

    The bigger question is

Could Calais and Za cover a 4.3 receiver in the flat/out range?

Reddick is starting to look like JTS.

    Oops did I say that?

  138. Jamaican Jaris Says:

not sure if its whining/bit”ing about the WIN.
it is reasonable to point out the limitations of the team.
    we are thinking L O N G term!

I am sure WE ARE ALL CELEBRATING this WIN.
    Go BUCS!

    ————————————————————————–

The all-white throwbacks are my least favorite, but if I was the GM I’d have the team wear them a couple times during the first couple home games as they’re best at reflecting the sun’s rays and not absorbing as much heat.

  140. Sheen Says:

Oops whatevs…yeah you spoke again! Back in your corner kiddo

  141. Jamaican Jaris Says:

    LOL @Whatevs.
    Good question though …

  142. orlbucfan Says:

The Stupid Bowl. Big celebration for the rich, ‘entitled,’ crowd, Most of the games are phony. The conference championships are the real games.

  143. ir8oldman Says:

Loved the game, it was fun, frustrating, and fun again multiple times. Adversity was answered time and again. And, as a bonus, The BUCS WON!

As bad as some of our snarky-ass keyboard warriors we have on this site, you’d think they’d say “Wow, what a good game” every now and then.

  144. Greg Says:

Coach McGaughey needs to hit the bricks. Special teams (aside from McLaughlin) was horrible again. The YAC on kickoffs is out of hand!

  145. N.CBucsFan Says:

    Our kicking team is atrocious

  146. N.CBucsFan Says:

Kickoff team i mean is atrocious

  147. Bucs4Ever Says:

    Baked W for dinner. Yummy

  148. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Gipper Rod Munch has been up here a lot longer than you and he has some respect from posters. You and the Baker F A N B O I S glee club came up here disrespecting people because we weren’t ready to have Bakers children like you guys. We have come around to Baker but yet like the woman you are you won’t let it go. Calm down young lady and take a pill.

  149. Gipper Says:

    DavidBBFan99,

Uh uh….Don’t even try it. The ones doing the disrespecting were you, Munch, oneilbuc and others. Don’t worry I never took it personally. I just attributed it to your overall lack of intellect.

Got a lot of history on you not just trashing Mayfield, but anyone who came to his defense. Too late for you to get on board now. Go back into your mobile home and suck down another 6 pack.

  150. BigBoiBuc Says:

Yaya crashes too fast for his own good. QB sidesteps him and then is out on the perimeter and able to throw the ball. Yaya needs to rush under control. Also, our short route pass defense is awful. The drive before halftime we gave up a 10, 11,and 12 yard routes in the middle of the field totally uncovered. That’s 30 free yards. Then they scored.

  151. Kenton Smith Says:

Gipper Says “Rod…until you admit your mistakes and ask for forgiveness…”. I don’t know Gipper if you’ve been around here longer than me or not. But I would suggest you don’t hold your breath. Also Rod, I’ve found a few Seahawks sights and newscasts and I’d say they have some real bellyaching going on up in the Pacific Northwest tonight. It’s real funny!

  152. infomeplease Says:

Grizz finally opened up the play book. I think he’s finally comfortable with the right side of the O-line!
BM6 played like a true #1 draft pick for 60 minutes! This was a great conference/road win!! One game at a time! Next .San Francisco! Get it done!
