Bucs Have One-Game Lead In NFC South
September 28th, 2025The division standings shifted this afternoon.
As expected in Atlanta, the Falcons stomped on the Commanders, who were starting quarterback Marcus Mariota and dealing with several injuries. The Falcons (2-2) won by seven points after the Commanders kicked a late field goal and failed on an onside kick.
In New England, the Patriots blew out Carolina (1-3) by 30 points, and the slimy Saints (0-4) hung tough with the Bills and lost 31-19 in Buffalo. The Saints are better than their record, which doesn’t say much.
The Falcons aren’t going away. Not yet. They host the Bills on Monday Night Football next week while the Bucs take their 3-1 record to face Seattle (3-1).
In all, the NFC South moved today as Joe expected, as Joe put on Twitter before the games.
NFC South thoughts:
If the Falcons don’t bounce back strong at home against a beat up Commanders team starting Marcus Mariota, there’s little hope in Atlanta. Joe’s got $ on Atlanta.
The winless slimy Saints, 14.5-point dogs at Buffalo, are better than their record. Carolina is…— JoeBucsFan (@JoeBucsFan) September 28, 2025

Do moral victories make me feel better? Well, I’d rather win. Like anyone else. But, by my math there are two halves of football. Anyone that says we got our ass kicked is a tard. 368 total yards to only 200 yards of offense is GIVING an ass kicking. Our special teams, giving the opponent free points as well as turnovers lost that game. Those can be cleaned up. Well, you would think anyway. Our special teams coach should be locked out of the building by Monday. You slow brained mongoloids need to not jump off the skyway bridge ok. We were not going undefeated. Once Tampa gets Goedeke back as well as McMillan and Evans, they will round in to form. Baker was also not going to throw zero interceptions this yr, Jesus

The Falcons have a bye next week
They can gain a half game on the Bucs
Or the Bucs can gain a half game on them
Penix Jr looked good today against Washington defense

Seahawks, 49ers, Lions the next 3 Bucs games…
I guess its time for the Bucs yearly mid-season losing streak….
Hopefully the Falcons don’t do much better!

Really it’s the inability of us to get to the qb that is stopping us from being a Super Bowl team. Reddick on pace for 4 sacks just hasn’t given us the jolt we had hoped for.
September 28th, 2025 at 5:38 pm
Bucs have to win in Seattle !! 4-1 – Atlanta is going down in Buffalo!! 2-3
Go Bucs !!
September 28th, 2025 at 5:41 pm
Tye – people like you are the worst. The Bucs have the second best record in the nfc this ENTIRE DECADE. Drink that in and have some perspective. In fact, top 5 record in the NFL with a ring. The Bucs are a model organization, and you’re displaying some feminine, inferiority complex. The 2010’s were a long time ago. Fix your PTSD

Well lose the next two games guaranteed
September 28th, 2025 at 5:51 pm
10 wins will take the weakest division in the NFL. Bucs will struggle to get there.
September 28th, 2025 at 5:58 pm
Only clowns will say that we’ll lose the next two games. We did well today especially in the 2nd half. Its only us beating us. Clean up the mistakes and take down the Seahawks next. Go Bucs.
September 28th, 2025 at 6:11 pm
Bucs are 6 points better than the Saints and from being the worst team in the NFC South. Defense is basically 3 players Winfield, LVD, and VV. Everybody else is injury prone or -2nd teir players. Special teams is high school level. Offence wich is supposed to be the biggest strength is rittled with injurys. To me Coen was better than Grizz.

I’m sorry but it really sucks to see our fan base say we will lose the next couple games. Only fans when we win?
September 28th, 2025 at 6:21 pm
I bet my 2 nephews, who live in Washington State, $100.00 each on next week’s game. I did that before half our team was injured…..
September 28th, 2025 at 6:23 pm
#99, don’t let them bother you. They’re like the little old lady who’s week is made by being able to call out a mistake by the grocery store cashier.
“Hee hee, I just typed the Bucs are losers. MOM! I need a Hot Pocket!”
September 28th, 2025 at 6:27 pm
Let’s see the injury report next week but TBs defense should cause Sam Darnold all kind of problems. Clean up special teams and Bucs beat the Seahawks
September 28th, 2025 at 6:30 pm
Jesus here we go again we these trolls saying the team loses the next two games. Well I say you’re wrong! I see a win in Seattle. The Bucs have traditionally played well in Seattle and Darnold’s immobility will lead to sacks and turnovers. Same with Detroit.
September 28th, 2025 at 6:30 pm
Man, there are a lot of Debbie downers in the comments here.
We will not lose the next 3, I bet Evans is back for the 49ers.
If we get healthy for the last 10 games, 8-2 is in play. A lot of season left and yeah we saw some bad things out there again in the first half but they hung with and could have beat the undefeated Eagles. This wasn’t like the Broncos game.
September 28th, 2025 at 6:36 pm
Gotta beat the ChickenHawks next week! And we will……
September 28th, 2025 at 7:04 pm
3-1 after a month with the most insane injury report this early in a season that I can remember, and we still have a 1 game lead plus a 1 game tiebreaker. We lost to a team that’s 20-1 over their last 21 including a SB victory.
We’re right where we need to be. Seattle and Detroit will further establish the expectations of this year’s team.
September 28th, 2025 at 7:54 pm
Seattle is probably the best defense the Bucs will face this year. Going on the road, vs probably what will end up as a top 3 defense, is going to be a huge obstacle to overcome. These next 3 games are going to be really really difficult and it won’t be shocking at all if the team is 3-4 in 3 weeks. Hope I’m wrong, but just being realistic. After that, the Bucs should go on a bit of run, so not all hope is lost, but as a reminder the Bucs are now 0-4 when they’re missing Evans over the last 2 years – and they don’t get Evans back for probably 3 more weeks – but hopefully sooner.

Rod, that is a lot of hedging your bets!
September 28th, 2025 at 8:39 pm
Other than JSN there isn’t anything about the Seahawks offense that concerns me. After a week of getting the rust knocked off I think our OL will have a better performance as well.
Bucs 24
Seahawks 16
September 28th, 2025 at 9:53 pm
I think we will be fine. Two good teams, the Bucs started slow and lost the turnover and officiating battles. To start 3-1 with the key injuries we have had is better than many expected. Winning close games like we have is a good thing. Battling like they did today was also good. Winning would have been better but the close loss tells everyone on the team that they have more to work on.

I’ll be extremely happy if they can win in Seattle, but I think people are unselling how difficult of a game that is going to be, and how good that Seattle defense is.
