About 75 Percent Pick Bucs To Win NFC South

August 30th, 2025

So the NFL ordered 30 of its analysts to pick this season’s NFC South champion.

How many picked Tampa Bay to hoist the banner for the fifth consecutive season? It was 22 out of 30. That’s 73 percent.

Notable Bucs non-believers include Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew and chief NFL media clown Adam Rank.

Things have changed a lot in a year, NFL.com notes.

In a role reversal from last August, the Bucs enter the 2025 season as the clear favorites in the NFC South, with the Falcons viewed as the No. 2. … … Meanwhile, neither the Falcons nor the Panthers have reached the playoffs since 2017, and neither has captured the South since their respective Super Bowl-losing efforts in the mid-2010s.

Joe’s guess would have been about 80 percent picking the Bucs. Joe monitors just about everything NFL and it seems at least 3 out 4 analysts nationwide are on the Bucs’ bandwagon.

A lot of them will jump off head-first if the Bucs dare to lose Week 1 in Atlanta in eight days. Eight!

That’s good but this division is trash that’s not a great accomplishment right now. If the division was like it was in the 2010s then it’s a big deal whe you played Brees , Newton and Ryan in their primes and not to mention the defenses they had . Now winning a trash division ain’t all of that making it to the NFC Championship will be a successful season anything less than that is a failure.

Yaya will have 15+ sacks, Kancey and Reddick will have 12+ sacks! You heard it here first.

They all got burned last year when they jumped on Atlanta’s jock in the preseason.

The hype train is travelling at full speed. Everyone is going to want to take their shot at the favorites and knock them down to size. Expectations are through the roof. I think Heck is the obvious weak spot and the bucs (grizzard) better be ready. They’ve had lots of time to prepare….

I’m sure 75% believed Alabama would beat FL State.

Adam Rank is like that Cody Benjamin guy, hate the Bucs and it shows in all their “analysis”.

Todd gave up almost 1000 yards of offense in two games against the Fowlclowns last year with a crip QB, but one that recognized a 7 yard pass was a free completion. So, has anything really changed? Magic 8 ball says “Signs point to ‘no’.”

Funny, I don’t remember any asterisks next to all of Brady’s division winning seasons in the AFC East for over a decade and a half, even thought the division was trash most of that time.

People just love hating on the Bucs… even our own fans, apparently.

Looking forward to this season more than ever.

I really think there is some muddle in the huddle with the Falcons QBs. It’s been pretty quiet. We all know Penn-ix is their number one, and I guess Kirk is still the back-up. That could change on a dime. Plus, the refs come into play too. Will they lean toward the Falcons and Panthers…

Many of the major sports media becomes fickle and focused on the shiny new thing and then jump off quickly. Remembering Kirk last season. They steer the wheel at times too. It’s almost like a jinx. They have never really given the Bucs their due. About time they do and are just not band-wagoners.

Oneilbuc – Agree about Cam, Drew, and Ryan when they played. Panthers and Falcons have been all over the place since.

Mike Clay @ BSPN has just power ranked the Bucs at 6th.
That was surprising given BSPN hasn’t been given the Bucs any credit lately.
