Haason Reddick Thinks Sky Is The Limit For Luke Goedeke
August 1st, 2025
High praise for teammate.
Before the season, Joe noticed chatter across the interwebs from legitimate sources saying Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke might be being spied for a possible Pro Bowl nod for the 2025 season.
How cool would that be, to have an All-Pro left tackle and a Pro Bowl right tackle?
So in the first eight days of Bucs training camp (good grief, it seems like three weeks), one guy who has been a little quiet is outside linebacker Haason Reddick.
Now, Joe is starting to think that is more Goedeke and not so much Reddick.
Today, Reddick spoke to the local pen and mic club after practice. He was asked abou facing Goedeke. Reddick had glowing words for the fourth-year Central Michigan product.
“Man, Luke is a tremendous talent,” Reddick began. “We’re battling every day. ‘Iron sharpens iron.’ I know that sounds cliche. Everybody hears that a lot. But we are out here battling.
“I love going up against him. He is a tremendous talent. He has strong hands. Really strong hands. Once he gets his hands on you, it’s going to be really hard to get him off you. I love to see that.”
What seems to impress Reddick about Goedeke is his desire to improve. Reddick believes it is that which will propel Goedeke to higher levels.
“Sometimes he will come up to me and say, ‘What did you see here?’ or ‘What about this?'” Reddick said. “I love that from him. … He still wants to get better.
“He still wants to try to get better. As long as he continues that mentality, with the work ethic he has, he is really going to be a really great tackle in this league.”
That’s cool to hear and Joe will take a Pro Bowl nod (though it would be cool to see Goedeke get to All-Pro level).
The way this Bucs offensive line may pan out, if they stay healthy, they could be the best front line the Bucs have ever fielded.

Put Reddick on Heck and train Heck up.

Luke … Ugh
Our 4-5 games with a concussion last year still scares me. That’s a TBI. He’s an immense talent but brains don’t heal like the rest of the body. Repeated damage becomes permanent. At a minimum, I hope he wears the helmet glove.

Pay him now before he hits FA and some lousy team like the titans offer to make him the highest paid LT in the NFL
GO BUCS!!!!!

Reddick vastly prefers to rush from the left side. Diaby has said he prefers to rush from the right. How etched in stone that really is I don’t know, but I don’t think there’s a push to move them around much. At least that’s what Joe reported in mid to late spring. Shame about Walker. I’d have liked to see him.

Is everyone as excited for football as Peter is

I wouldn’t trade the Bucs OL for any in the league. Barton might be Pro Bowl or even All-Pro soon, too. They should keep improving for the next five years if they can stay signed and healthy.

I hope he wears his Flintstone Kazoo helmet all damn year. Keep the concussions away!

Joe, it would be better if Reddick gets the All Pro nod, that would mean this defense is much improve.

For kicks and giggles, with the news of Micah Parsons wanting out. What do you think the Bucs would have to give up to get him?
August 1st, 2025 at 4:15 pm
The Giants gave up a 2nd rounder, and 5th rounder for Brian Burns
The Cowboys can’t expect much more for Parsons

That’s a pretty solid endorsement from a guy who’s considered one of the best at what he does.
Keep that Gazoo helmet on Luke.
And keep up the good work!
