    dam ira…i didn’t know you’re a giants fan as well…!

i’m a longtime giants fan from the early 80’s on…watching kruk & kuip when they actually wore uniforms for the gigantes…!

and yes the dodgers are killing me slowly…when i heard you start b!tching about otani, i had to chime in… 🙂

and yeah verlander got lit up hard last night…
(even though he’s 0-6, he’s had a lot of misfortune,,,he hasn’t pitch that badly – until last night)

in 1976 i went to jets training camp with my mom…to meet my dad and get in – or whatever it entailed…i was under 10 years old…

as we are walking down the block approaching camp, i find a 20 dollar bill on the floor blowing in the wind…

    i yell: “look ma, i found 20”

she quickly almost got mad at me because we were running late and yelled “come on you !”…

    yeah she had brooklyn attitude…

then she realized i’m holding a crispy 20 spot in my hand…

    remember now, this us 1976…

a 20 is at least 50-60 bucks today in 2025…a 20 was a big bill back in ’76…

she quickly snatches the 20 from my hand, yelling “gimme that you, come on !”

i wanted it back, but she wouldn’t acknowledge me or the situation…

she robbed my 20 dollar bill…!!

and later on at jets camp, i started to tell my father about it, and she quickly shut it down and changed the subject…

    she robbed me up

I ignore any chattering from the dwarf. If Vita isn’t hurling him over the opposing OL at a quarterback, he’s not making the team unless Todd wants a Darden clone only more afraid after the first hit.

Agree about the Bucs practices and cost. Around the league other teams have more choices of public ones to choose from. Some via a lottery, some free.

So glad the Rays are doing well. Disappointed about the uncertainty.

Funny movie story! Great theater. Loving “all demographics” listening, following, and reading JoesBucsFan. Can’t get better than that! Good stuff.

Me and the old hound really do enjoy our favorite podcast! Spent yesterday over at one son’s house and was the all time pitcher with 4 grandkids playing some whiffle ball. Last week bunch of family went to KC to see them play the Dodgers and Ohtani. I got to go to Wrigley last Spring and watch Ohtani bang one off the right field scoreboard. Wind blowing in. If you guys can discuss Ohtani so can I. So I get home yesterday and flip on the Dodgers and watch Ohtani strike out the side in the second inning to cap off a 2 inning stint. Hit 101 mph on the gun. In a few short months hopefully I’ll be the all time QB out in the yard with the grandkids. But for now it’s baseball season and yes, Tampa Bay has a baseball team too. And the Boys of Summer are coming down the backstretch. Life is good, don’t let anyone tell you different.
