Bucky Irving Said The Bucs Offense Is About Trust
June 13th, 2025Stats are nice but Bucs running back Bucky Irving believes the offense has something deeper to lean on.
All 11 starters from the Bucs’ No. 3 overall offense last year. Pretty impressive, especially factor ing two of the biggest contributors were rookies.
Speaking after practice yesterday, Bucky mentioned it isn’t just the numbers everyone produced on the Bucs offense last year that makes the offense stout. No, Bucky said, it’s deeper than that.
“We have all [those] guys returning but just being able to have trust in those guys,” Bucky said. “Like you always say, when I come up here [to the Bucs’ interview stage], I don’t talk about myself.
“I talk about the O-line because without those guys, none of these things are possible so just being able to give credit to those guys every chance that I get, I’m going to do that.”
And this season, Bucky doesn’t have to learn how to read or how to run, or even coordinator his style with a new lineman’s style of blocking. The “trust” Bucky speaks of is that he knows his linemen’s blocking consistency and tendencies.
Likewise, the linemen will know how to block for Bucky. Each running back is different.
With no learning curve, the offense ought to have fresh grease on its wheels this fall.

the energy of the guys on this team, man! the best team spirit I personally have ever witnessed. just solid guys. great teamwork. no showboats. I don’t know if that is THE secret ingredient for a championship or not, but it sure as hell is a good one to have. I am all in rooting for the boys to get a SB. would be great to see.

Bucky has a solid, humble, and teamwork mentality. ‘Trust” Bucky knows what is important and the Bucs have it all going strong. Can’t wait for this season to begin.

Hope Buck has been working on his pass protection, ID’ing and picking up blitzers.

Love that kid. So professional and praising the oline like that, just respecting them for giving him big opportunities with the ball in his hand. That’s what Jason Licht talks about drafting shining through. Let’s Go Bucs!!!!

Agreed Sethery!
The culture change, the high character players and people acquired the last few years… this team is just that… a team! Everyone pulling for each other as much as themselves. It’s no given in professional sports, sports at any level really.
Very proud to be a Bucs fan, always have been, but it’s never been easier.

I remember that there was a huge rift between Chidi Ahonitu and Sapp. I’m glad we don’t have any of that foolishness going on now. As a result, free agents want to come here and our players take less to stay here. Keep up the great work, guys.
