Keenan McCardell Returns

June 17th, 2009

One of the stars of the Bucs greatest season, the Super Bowl-winning season, Keenan McCardell, made a return to his former stomping grounds Tuesday at One Buc Palace as a guest of Raheem the Dream.

Seems as though McCardell wants to be a coach. And Raheem the Dream was only happy to lend a hand, so writes Chris Harry of the Orlando Sentinel.

McCardell, now XX and out of the league since the 2007, was in town this weekend for Derrick Brooks’ charity golf tournament. There, he ran into new Bucs Coach Raheem Morris, who’d heard of McCardell’s thoughts of being a coach. Morris invited the ex-Bucs star out to mini-camp.

“When Keenan McCardell talks, my wide receivers listen,” Morris said Tuesday.

Joe always loved McCardell, a key element to the Bucs winning the Super Bowl. Joe thought it was lousy how he was treated at the end. Good to see a good guy like McCardell return.
