Baker Mayfield Is Still On The Bucs’ Injury Report
November 5th, 2026
It’s important to note that Baker Mayfield is still dealing with his healing dislocated throwing thumb.
But Joe, Mayfield returned to the starting lineup two weeks ago and has been practicing fully? Correct. But Mayfield remains on the official injury report. That means his thumb is at a point where the Bucs feel the need to classify it as injured.
Mayfield battled various ailments last season. He was on the injury report for 10 of 17 games. Interestingly, the Bucs had a 5-5 record in those games and were worse when Mayfield was deemed fully healthy in the week leading up to a game.
Joe is sure Mayfield’s thumb is vastly improved, but Joe doesn’t want to hear one injury excuse coming from One Buc Palace if the Bucs lose on Sunday night at Chicago.

Of course!
It’s now a matter of strength in his thumb and gripping ability.
He can easily deal with the pain.

Hopefully it’s just a smokescreen for the Bears and he’s pretty much good to go. I’m a little nervous about the ground game against the Bears. We need Baker to sling the rock like he’s capable of doing.

I believe in Todds injury reports. I also believe in the Easter Bunny and that Wile E. Coyote will catch that Roadrunner on those Acme Skates one day.
Go Bucs!

He can’t throw the ball deep when he’s healthy.
And our receivers have become decoys and blockers only.
Remind me why we had to overpay ahead of time for a QB that just hands the ball off??
Because he has moxy!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
November 5th, 2026 at 12:09 pm
Every week is a playoff. They have to have that mentality.
November 5th, 2026 at 12:18 pm
I’d go into this game with the same game plan as Carolina. They are similar teams, and the Bucs curb stomped them. Minimal passing, but do it in high leverage situations and sometimes when you break an 8 yard run on first down, go deep into single coverage. May burn them and tilt field position.

This Joe thinks Jalon Daniels gives Bucs a better chance to win…. SMH
November 5th, 2026 at 12:23 pm
This is why you don’t over pay a 5’10” QB
Unless he has 5 pro bowl linemen he will never be healthy
November 5th, 2026 at 12:26 pm
It’s just so cool and smart that he was wrestling a Falcons player out of bounds after the play was over to maximize the chances that his busted thumb recovers quickly. He’s got moxie.
November 5th, 2026 at 12:51 pm
Oh Matty…
There is nothing “similar” between the Bears and the Panthers.
Do you even watch football??
The Bears just might be the best team in the NFL, if not the most complete. They have a really good defense at all 3 levels and a very good DC. On offense the have a QB playing at MVP level, a really good oline, a great TE and 2 stud WRs.
Yeah.. nothing like Carolina.
November 5th, 2026 at 1:01 pm
Even if the Bears have more points than the Bucs at the end, the Bucs are winners.
November 5th, 2026 at 1:08 pm
Good…… The Jalon Daniels crowd will rise again. Just another opportunity to prove how dumb they are.
November 5th, 2026 at 1:12 pm
Of course, Baker is still on the injury report. It provides a convenient excuse for his poor play, and it makes him out to be a hero because he has “moxie.” When Baker has a bad game this Sunday against Chicago, which is most likely going to happen because Chicago has a really good defense, the thumb will be the reason he: a) fumbles., b) throws an interception, or C) does both.

Fan buc,did you get a chubby writing that post
You could have said that before Atlanta beat the niners..
Any given sunday..
November 5th, 2026 at 1:37 pm
By the way! Hows ole Evans doing?? Does he have 50 catches and 7 td”s yet??? Lol
Steve V knows..
November 5th, 2026 at 1:37 pm
Well when he plays!! He’s the greatest!!!
November 5th, 2026 at 1:38 pm
“… improved, but Joe doesn’t want to hear one injury excuse coming from One Buc Palace if the Bucs lose on Sunday night in Chicago.”
Couldn’t agree more!
Moreover, if the worst happens and the Bucs lose due to some errant passes, we will be bombarded with enough excuses from the Baker Boi’s to blow up this website. One Buc Place need not worry.
They are covered, and then some …

Evans will light the bears up Sunday night.

JA,
We know what JA stands for and agree you are a jacka$$.
Mayfield faking a dislocated thumb is your argument? We know another band member when we read your copy. Where did your Mom put all your particpation trophies?
November 5th, 2026 at 2:26 pm
Evans is playoff bound. Toilet Bowles is bound for another sub 500 record.
Does Steve’s Vag know that???
November 5th, 2026 at 2:52 pm
Love that photo of Baker pancaking Jesse Bates!
November 5th, 2026 at 2:58 pm
Playoff bound like me.
watchn!!
November 5th, 2026 at 3:09 pm
Sure doesn’t take much to get people’s panties in a wad around here 🤣
Baker said it will be off-season before it heals completely. Expect him to be on the report for awhile. Means nothing
November 5th, 2026 at 3:14 pm
The Favorite Bears are going to have their hands full.
Defense and running, is their worst nightmare
November 5th, 2026 at 3:16 pm
When Baker is healthy, he’s the MVP!
We just have to be patient.
November 5th, 2026 at 3:24 pm
Jeeze…no wonder ive left this place alone for a while….hate hate hate
November 5th, 2026 at 3:27 pm

November 5th, 2026 at 3:40 pm
MarineBuc and the rest of the Dullards,
Brady 3 full seasons at Tampa fumbles lost =8
Mayfield 3 full seasons at Tampa fumbles lost =8
Brady 3 full seasons at Tampa INT’s =.33
Mayfielld 3 full seasons Tamp. INT’s = 37
Keep lying about Mayfield the way you lie about being a Marine.
November 5th, 2026 at 4:01 pm
They’re just giving his thumb light duty to finish healing.
November 5th, 2026 at 4:11 pm
Bears are gonna be super aggressive trying to stop the run, make Baker throw ,,, first play, play action bomb TD to Tez
November 5th, 2026 at 4:39 pm
Baker has been quoted as saying his thumb will not be entirely healed until sometime during the off season. I think the Bucs have a Ravens like mess at QB right now.
November 5th, 2026 at 4:44 pm
Why not?
But not Tez. Hurst. He has better speed, and deserves a chance to make up for the one the Falcon broke up last week.
November 5th, 2026 at 4:45 pm
Since when did Chicago have a really good defense. I’ll wait. They do on the other hand have a really good offense. But put pressure and m y man Caleb will come down to earth
November 5th, 2026 at 5:13 pm
McGay, living up to your name. Silly rabbit.
November 5th, 2026 at 5:15 pm
Wow! I dont see Evans on that list..
Oh wait!
Hes on SF’s list
Steve V knows!

They already have a built in excuse for Baker his thumb ain’t going to be healthy until the off season. The Ravens will move on from Jackson next year because of his injuries we are the only fan base and franchise that will call a quarterback that’s always get the injury excuses a franchise quarterback. I told yall this before the bucs will never win nothing with Baker Mayfield. The defense is top 5 and the running game is too 5 and yet our quarterback is still the problem rather it’s injuries or his play on the field. It’s time to draft our real franchise quarterback. I like how Lee brought up Jason Licht and scouts was at the Texas vs Old miss game. Lee keep telling us real bucs fans the truth thank you so much for that brother!!

Thank you Oneilbuc for your usual, rambling, disjointed comments.
