Weather: Comfortable and cloudy day at The Licht House. Per AccuWeather.com, just right for a day without a lot of sun. Tailgaters will start pounding beers and grilling meat with temperatures in the low-80s with some clouds. It will warm up to 88 by kickoff and gradually rise to 91 in the second half under cloudy skies. By game’s end, the temperature will dip. Don’t hang out too long pounding beers after the game. By 5 p.m., thunderstorms are expected.
Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of midnight, Bucs +3 (-105); over/under 38.5.
Referees: Adrian Hill and his gang will work today’s game. Per Sharp Football Analysis, in games that Hill’s outfit work, the home team is 57-55 against the spread. With Hill’s posse calling a game, home teams win 47 percent of the time.
Injuries: Packers — Out: G Aaron Banks (knee/toe), DT Warren Brinson (calf/groinhamstring), DT Anthony Campbell (ankle), C/G Jacob Monk (quad). Questionable: C/G Jager Burton (groin), LB Edgerrin Cooper (shoulder/concussion). Bucs — Out: OLB Rueben Bain (groin/shoulder), TE Ko Kieft (elbow), QB Baker Mayfield (right thumb), CB Benjamin Morrison (quad). Questionable: ILB Sir’Voccea Dennis (calf), DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle/foot), CB Jacob Parrish (personal).
Outlook: It looks grim for the Bucs at 0-3. The major reason they still have a prayer of the playoffs is they play in the NFC South landfill. If Joe told you a team would win the NFC South landfill with a 7-10 record, would you be surprised? It’s that bad. One team since the postseason was expanded to 14 games has made the playoffs after an 0-3 start — and the Bucs don’t have the defense that last year’s Houston squad had. Sorry. As the Sage of Tampa Bay sports, Ira Kaufman, likes to point out, just one team in NFL history has made the playoffs after an 0-4 start. And boys and girls, Stan Humphries is not walking through the black curtain of The Licht House. As bad as the Bucs are playing, the Packers looked just as bad 10 days ago getting blown out by the Dixie Chicks in storied Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football. And now, with the Bucs’ season peering into the abyss, the Bucs are starting an undrafted rookie quarterback who has a total of four snaps, one attempt and one pick to his name. Fun times! The only way “this Joe” can see the Bucs winning is if the unknown about Daniels fully throws off the Packers. Look for deep shots to take advantage of Daniels’ arm and, of course, keepers to use his wheels. It wouldn’t shock Joe if the Bucs won, but since the Bucs haven’t covered in an NFL record 12 straight games, you won’t catch Joe putting any money on the Bucs, sorry.
Fun facts: Backup quarterbacks starting starting this season are 6-0. … Packers QB Jordan Love passed for 312 yards and a pair of scores last week, his seventh-career 300+ yard game. He passed for 284 yards and two touchdowns the last time he faced the Bucs. … WR Christian Watson led the Packers with 7 catches and had 96 receiving yards, catching his fourth touchdown of the season. Last Thursday he also had his 36th career game with 10+ tackles. Franklin has at least five tackles in 34 of his last 35 road games. … EDGE Lukas Van Ness looks for his third road game in a row with a sack. … S Xavier McKinney had his 14th career pick last week and is third among safeties since 2022. … Bucs QB Jalon Daniels makes his first NFL start. Will be the first undrafted rookie quarterback to start a game in the first four weeks of the season since 1987 and second since 1970. … RB Bucky Irving had 58 scrimmage yards (46 rushing, 12 receiving) last week and aims for his fifth game in a row with at least 50 scrimmage yards. I am excited/curious to see Jalon play. I hopium Daniels has a great game.
But sorry Jon. I love your enthusiasm, but the Bucs can’t get out of their own way.
Do you remember the MIA game last year? Should have been an easy win.
When we lose this game, Thursday night will become 0-5.
Only the Dolphins have a better shot at the #1 pick
OMG, we fell so far and so fast. This is shocking

I don’t think I have seen anyone listed as questionable due to personal reasons before. Certainly we all need to respect his privacy, but one can’t help but to wonder if it is something really awful.
