Four Bucs Officially Ruled Out

October 7th, 2026

Out.

Four Bucs players will have time on their hands tomorrow to wolf down world-class beef ribs at Pecan Lodge or Hutchins as the Bucs prepare to play Dallas in Jerry’s World.

Baker Mayfield, Antoine Winfield, Benjamin Morrison and SirVocea Dennis won’t play.

Chase McLaughlin, who has a groin/hip injury, was a full participant in practice today after missing yesterday’s practice.

McLaughlin’s injury also might explain why KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles didn’t use McLaughlin’s weapon of a right leg to tie the game up late in the loss to Green Bay. Bowles today said McLaughlin is just fine and ready to go.

Mayfield, of course, has a dislocated thumb and is expected miss at least another week. Winfield has a fractured rib suffered against Green Bay. Morrison is hurt almost half the time. Dennis is dealing with a bum foot/ankle.

No Bucs player is listed as questionable or doubtful.

Thank goodness we have Chase, I believe we are gonna need him !!

    Go Bucs !!

  2. BuxfaninTX Says:

    Chase McLaughlins alleged injury…..

  3. Schlomie ShekelStein Says:

    As the toilet drains……

  4. Football 1 Says:

Well not sure it matters really. Winfield pretty invisible anyway. Dennis while playing better still is not a starting LB. Morrison is off the field more than on it and really needs more development. To be honest does anyone really know what is right with this team??. BTW Joe you guys keep talking what a crappy div the South is. I think you guys need to look at Atl, who you said was garbage and Car. They appear vastly improved and NO somewhat banged up is not far behind. It appears the only crappy team now in the div are the Bucs who it appears won’t even be close to the other teams in the div.

  5. Lakeland Says:

I guess Ifeatu Melifonwu will get the start at FS

We can win this football game

  6. TG Says:

    Tykee is a dawg

The rest of the D needs to be nervous when the new HC takes over.

There will be surprises as to whom is released

  7. Marine Buc Says:

    I told ya’ll a few months back…

This roster is a house of cards.

    Now here we go.

    LOL!

This is gonna get real real good – the fun has just begun my friends.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  8. VancouverBuc Says:

Winfield has basically been Out for the last 3 years

  9. MelvinJunior Says:

Well, imagine that… MORRISON LoL. Who would’ve ever thunk it!? Amazing. Always, remember… “Those who believe without reason cannot be convinced by reason.” It’s why I was the “bad guy” all off-season… LoL “Drunk.” When, it’s no difference than with most people’s own politics. It’s all EMPTY. And, that’s why THEY get angry, defensive, and hysterical, every time… When, someone else speaks THE TRUTH. Their ‘arguments’ are thin and weak. Based only off of ‘emotion’ alone, versus the REALITY. Another LICKT-Pick. I mean, HE is the “GM” right… The Man, who is ‘in-charge’ of this DISASTER of a ‘FAILED’ Franchise!?

Anyone ask him yet, if not wanting to restart all over again from scratch next offseason, was REALLY the main-reason for ‘extending’ Baker NOW, instead of after the season!? Since, that was exactly WHAT “HE” SAID. Of course, the Glazers were going to meet with him at least ONCE, before shelling-out’ a literal, ‘HISTORIC’ contract… Especially, after those comments to the media, calling them out as being LIARS. How bout with Bowles… Now, was that a “YOU” decision, were you completely fully onboard with it, or was it ALL 💯 an Owner’s “Executive-Decision” on their OWN, against YOUR wishes, and without your blessing!? Same with Baker. Godwin. Reddick. Vea. Gainwell, Anzalone, and on and on… ALL OF IT.

  10. Tucker Says:

That’s ok we got Bain back to play free safety

  11. sBucs Says:

Money McClaughin’s injury was Buc propaganda to cover not giving him a chance to tie the game with a 65 yard field goal. I’ve heard every excuse including shoes were untied.

  12. MelvinJunior Says:

Cause, they’re going to continue drilling it into your heads about how GREAT this roster is. I mean, despite Lickt’s career record… They’re going to continue to say, what do you want HIM to do about such CRAP coaching!? Ya know, it’s NOT his roster’s fault… Despite after OPENING YOUR EYES, you can clearly see when compared to the other 70%+ of the league, that it is obviously TRASH.

  13. Lakeland Says:

The Houston Texans HC DeMeco Ryan
Says he’s taking over defensive play calling
The Texans are allowing 27.2 ppg, that’s unlike them

Sometimes you have to make adjustments as a HC

  14. TBBucFan Says:

I just want to see Bain and Walker with their ears pinned back. Will it happen? Prob not but is there any other reason to watch. The offense is disgusting. Morrison should be a lesson in drafting. College players who are often hurt are as bad a risk as players who sit out during COVID.

  15. Dreday Says:

Man how did we replace Jamel Dean with Jamel Dean. The next regime will have their work cut out for them

  16. fishhawkbuc Says:

    Flush Bowles.
Flush Baker out of the local bars
Lets call it a courtesy flush

  17. Muscle Hampster Says:

Benjamin Morrison is the #1 starter on the injury report

  18. Plexity Says:

    Or Terry Blacks

  19. D-Rome Says:

Money McClaughin’s injury was Buc propaganda to cover not giving him a chance to tie the game with a 65 yard field goal.

I must have missed news on the Bucs reporting that McLaughlin was injured, but I would have rather attempted a 65 yarder with the best kicker in Bucs history over a UDFA rookie getting a first down on a pass.

  20. Defense Rules Says:

sBucs … Chase did hit on a 65-yard FG earlier in his career, but I’m sure it wasn’t with a sore leg. I also have no doubt that Bowles asked him if he thought he could make it, and that Chase told him ‘Nah’.

No HC in their right mind would call for a rookie QB to ‘got for it’ on a 4th-and-11 with the game on the line if he thought that his kicker could tie it up. The game ending was very predictable.

  21. Let em bake Says:

Bowles said the kick was into the wind… very low percentage play.

  22. buc4evr Says:

Bowles makes the best excuses. Every week it’s another “the dog ate my homework excuse” from terrible Todd. As far as the players that are out this week, not one of them makes a difference one way or another. Total doorstops. 0-5 incoming.

  23. nprbuc Says:

@letem bake. Weather said conditions at RayJay was a “slight breeze at 6 mph.”The average walking speed for a 20-29 male is 3.4 mph.Walking at 6 mph would barely blow the hair out of your eyes! What 6 mph would do to a kick distance I have no idea but would expect it to be minimal going in either direction. Maybe I’m wrong. Let the smart people figure that out. LOL

  24. Bonan Says:

Cool. At this point, I honetly only come here to see if Bowles has been fired yet.

  25. SlyPirate Says:

    NEW ABBREVIATION:
Instead of DL standing for Defensive Line, our DL is the Donut Line

Vea, Kancey, Yaya, Bain = 0 Sacks = DONUTS!

Actually, it works for Baker, too!

    Let Baker Bake!

What does he bake? Donuts (0 Wins)

  26. exBrowns02 Says:

nprbuc: Hear what you’re saying and it generally makes sense, but if the wind direction is is within a 35 degree variance of straight at the kicker, the 6 mph is definitely going to negatively influence the trajectory of the ball and suppress distance.

  27. Hodad Says:

What a shock, Morrison missing time.

  28. JA Says:

Morrison makes our old DB buddy, Jamal Dean, look like Rambo.
I never see Morrison get hurt because he’s perpetually hurt.
What now? Did he injure his shoulder, arm and jaw while brushing his teeth?

  29. Kenton Smith Says:

Well. 3 of 4 from the defense. Mayfield the only offensive player we’re going to battle without.

Daniels has alot on him. He has alot on the line, but he also has a great opportunity. If he flops, he could find himself in a battle to keep his backup job. With a win, he’s solidified his role.

Dallas has an offense that is on a hot, dead, roll. Only way we’re beating them is scoring points. So my advice to the kid is-,go out there and let er rip! Use that energy and great attitude and play the game you love-with some gusto!

Jalon hung 57 points on the Longhorns in college. At Texas! We don’t need our coaches putting reins on him. We especially don’t need Bowles proclaiming the turnovers are our problem. Our problem is we don’t play fast and loose.

Our defense and special teams will be doing everything they can to help. So will all your offensive teammates. Guaranteed.

Baker used to let it rip. And play with gusto. And now every throw he looks at it seems he’s weighing risk. It’s hurt our team.

Alot on the line for a rookie UDFA. But we have to get a win. And that’s the only way we’re gonna win tomorrow.

    Same old story 🥱
