Bijan Robinson and the Dixie Chicks throttled the Packers last night, leaving the Bucs as the lone NFC South landfill team without a win.
Well, if you lose to the worst team in the league with the worst quarterback in the league, at home, what does that make you?
And with Joe still suffering the aftereffects of a bout of acid reflux after watching that horrid, embarrassing, irresponsible display of football Sunday against the Browns to push the Bucs’ record to 0-2, the following is befitting a team that lost to the worst team in the league with the worst quarterback.
The Bucs are now in last place in the worst division in football.
After last night, when the Dixie Chicks curb-stomped the Packers in storied Lambeau Field, the Bucs are the lone winless team in the worst division in the NFL, the NFC South landfill.
And if the Bucs lose to the Vikings on Sunday to fall to 0-3, it’s hard to imagine there won’t be sweeping changes to the team beginning in January.
Only one team has ever advanced to the 14-team NFL playoffs after starting 0-3. And folks, this Bucs team is not last year’s Texans, which pulled off the feat. Not even close.
Joe never dreamed of writing the above headline before Week 3 ended. Before Week 3 is over! How in the world did this team get here?
What’s next for this team? Will the Bucs will be in position to draft Jeremiah Smith or Colin Simmons?

gp, do not worry about the Bucs drafting Arch, the Bucs will win an insignificant game down the stretch that will drop them a few drafts slots and thus exclude them from drafting a generational talent. It is a Tampa thing: 1989: Bucs beat the Lions on the final week; the Lions draft Barry Sanders at #3, the Chiefs and Falcons get Derrick Thomas and Deion Sanders at #4/5 and the Bucs get Broderick Thomas. The Bucs beat the Browns in 2006 and end up with Gaines Adams with the #4 overall pick, the Browns got Joe Thomas at #3. Then Jameis throws a Hail Mary to Godwin to beat the Saints and drop a few slots in the draft. They wanted Quentin Nelson but ended up trading down instead….. I am predicting 5-12 and a top 10 but not top 5 draft pick.

Since the Bucs are making it so easy to think about – it’s time to ask a question that could occupy months of speculation later:
If the Bucs finish the season with the NFL’s worst record and the first pick in the draft, what will they do with it?
Draft a Baker replacement while stuck with him in a massive contract? Or sell it to the highest bidder to restock the team for the new head coach?
This is hypothetical, even though right now the Bucs are in the group of lead dogs for the race to the bottom.

To the JETS for their own 2027, then their next ‘highest’ 2027, and also their own 2028 1st’s. It’d be THE perfect draft to pull-it off in, cause that #1-Pick will be about as valuable as it could possibly ever be. If you think you can STILL land Jeremiah Smith with THEIR OWN 1st, then you could even take their worst of their THREE 1st’s this year, IF it helps you get that 2028 1st. Cause, you KNOW you’re going to get some STRONG ‘pushback’ there. Maybe, you could send them back a 3rd even, or something, if it ‘sweetens-it’ enough to close the deal. Regardless, if they get that #1-overall, they’ve got to dig their heels in and remain STRONG. Somebody’s gonna bite. But, you need to try your very best to make sure that you can walkaway with JEREMIAH SMITH though, if at all possible.

To be fair, Green Bay is a mess right now. Jordan Love is not an elevator like Favre or Rodgers were. He needs talent to be good. Their o line is a mess, and they have 0, ZERO running game. Also Matt Lafleur has completely lost this team. They nearly racked up 200 yds in penalties and the coaches are like “shake it off”. I expect Matty Mouse Lafleur to be fired along with Bowles at the end of the year.

This is what happens when you make emotional decisions in business, the Glazers kept the failing Todd Bowles because they like him. They like Bowles more than they like winning football games, which means I’m not spending any money on anything Bucs until they decide to fix the problem. Jeremiah Smith wants to go to a state with ZERO income tax! I absolutely LOVED-IT that day he said it to JMac, when he was interviewing him during BIG10 media days, for “The Here.” Cause, JMac ‘thinks’ he’s one of those FAKE ‘big-timers’ in LA and wants to look down his nose at THE SEC and the South. You should’ve SEEN ‘the look’ on HIS FACE when Jeremiah said THAT, cause his FAKE ‘virtuous’ ass (LIED, because of his weak insecure LA ego) has completely dismissed-it and downplayed-it even being “a thing.” He’s said a MILLION times, that “Players” do NOT factor that into their decisions, and that neither do ‘normal’ everyday people. The Falcons gave the Packers a good old fashion spank.
Now all of the media and fans are talking about what is wrong with GB, LeFleur being in the hot seat and what is happening with Love.
In 10 days we play the Packers.
Love had 28/53 for 2 TDs and ! INT, a little over 50% completion.
Now be honest, what you expect we will see in 10 days.
One of the same performance from GB or a game that will make everyone say that the Packers have found their way and Love being a future star at QB.

A few thoughts from watching the ATL/GB game.
1. Penix looked pretty good, made some good throws. Can he stay healthy?
2. The ATL running game was really the key. That last scoring drive is how you hammer in the coffin nails.
3. Where was all this offence and defense in the first 2 ATL games? This is what an NFL team looks like when it all comes together. Is it just a fluke?
4. If ATL can turn it around, then why not the Bucs. Great running potential, great receiving potential, very good QB potential and what should be an improved defense.

The Glazers are in the bottom 5 of ownership right now.
Its square on their shoulders for telling Licht to pay Baker.
They caved on Bowles.
They caved on Vea.
They caved on Mayfield.
Now they will cave on the season.
If they lose to Minnesota and look bad, we will be the 1st team in NFL history to pay a QB $55 Million/year and then draft a QB in the 1st round the following year.
I sweat I will root for exactly that with this grandpa Bowles running the team.

For years now the Bucs have been lucking into just enough close wins to keep Bowles from being fired.
How about being a team that dominates and gets solid wins and knows what it’s doing.
“A win is a win” is a stupid mantra that keeps garbage coaches like Bowles employed way beyond what they deserve.
