Remarkable Rueben Bain
August 18th, 2026So long after practice ended today, as usual, Buccaneers rookie edge rusher Rueben Bain was still working. The Miami Mauler typically is the last player off the field.
Today, however, Bain put in the work just to be able to put in the work, which Joe found far more interesting as the heat index climbed above 100 degrees. Bain dragged two offensive lineman dummies 50-plus yards. He waved off help. Then he set both up to his liking, strapped on his helmet and went to work.
Joe’s never witnessed this kind of commitment from a rookie. Stunning video below.

I was shocked he even dropped to them. I still thought he was gonna be gone by then. I’m actually surprised we didn’t draft a punter or a kicker instead.👍 That would’ve been the only way I wouldn’t have traded down is if he ended up dropping to them other than that I would’ve considered trading down.
