Short Week Not Bothering Shaq Barrett

October 25th, 2023

Eager to return to the field.

Yesterday at One Buc Palace, Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett was ready to rock and roll.

Though he admitted he’s a bit tired, he’s fired up to head to Buffalo and get on the field tomorrow night when the Bucs play the Bills.

(If the game gets out of hand in any direction, there is still reason to watch. When these Amazon games on Thursday nights don’t live up to the hype, it’s always fun to listen to cranky Al Michaels.)

“I always like getting back out there after a loss, especially the way we lost [to Atlanta],” Shaq said. “Get that taste out of our mouth.

“I can’t wait to get back out there and redeem ourselves.”

Joe hopes that truly putrid performance Sunday is motivation for all of Shaq’s teammates. They put themselves behind the eight-ball in the NFC South to win the division. Had the Bucs won, Tampa Bay would have had a stranglehold on the division with four division games left.

Nothing would get the NFL world to take notice — like the cannons from the pirate ship were fired — if the Bucs could pull off the upset in Buffalo tomorrow night.

This is one of those games that could surprise the NFL world…..let’s hope so. GO BUCS!!!

  2. A Bucs Fan Says:

I have no expectations after the debacle on Sunday. It’s all on the offense at this point because the defense has done its part this season.

If the Bucs can’t run against a buffalo defense that is allowing a 5.2 yards per carry (31st) players need to be benched and/or the coaches need to do a hard reset and simplify concepts this season. Probably both.

  3. Defense Rules Says:

Mostly concerned about several defenders being banged up (Vea, White, probably Dean) and Neal’s poor games lately. Bills’ offense may be somewhat up-and-down, but they’re still ranked #3 and their defense is ranked #5. Their Achilles Heel seems to be turnovers (in their 3 losses they’ve given the ball away 8 times, but only 3 times in their 4 wins). Looks like Josh Allen has 7 INTs & 2 fumbles lost in 7 games (most of those in their 3 losses).

Good luck against a decent team, pi$$ed off, on the road.

Wheels come off; Bucs will get whacked.

    Lord, I hope I am wrong…

  5. McBucky Says:

Well, at least there’s one player interested in redemption.

Bills have been struggling lately. Lost some key players on D to IR and Josh Allen’s throwing shoulder is banged up. Good team still but not a Juggernaut. Fingers crossed

I don’t believe the bucs will win. I’ve lost my faith for this season. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see them win but given my 45 year fandom they will have to prove me wrong.
