Can Dallas Handle The Heat?

January 11th, 2023

Played well vs. Dallas in Week 1.

It seems to be the trendy pick for a whole bunch of NFL insiders.

Joe doesn’t care if it’s NFL Network, FS1 or BSPN. There seem to be all kinds of talking heads who think the Bucs have more than just a puncher’s chance of beating the Cowboys in the wild card round Monday night at The Licht House.

For former NFL offensive lineman Brian Baldinger, who works for NFL Network, a key to the game is how the Cowboys can handle all the blitzing and movement up front on defense brought by Bucs coach Todd Bowles.

In a video breakdown on Twitter, Baldinger demonstrated using All-22 how Bowles has so many different blitzes and stunts that it’s not so easy for a quarterback, even a veteran quarterback like Dak Prescott, to pick up on all of them.

Baldinger noted this was part of the reason why the Bucs played well against the Cowboys to open the season. The Bucs held the Cowboys to just a field goal, though that game seems like a lifetime ago.

“Baldinger demonstrated using All-22 tape how Bowles has so many different blitzes and stunts that it’s not so easy for a quarterback, even a veteran quarterback like MATTHEW STAFFORD, to pick up on all of them.”…… IF ONLY he had chosen the correct one on a certain drive and we most likely are in midst of a 3-peat!!! Sorry. Once in a while I get PTSD as I still remember standing up for almost the entire 4th quarter in numb disbelief as Bucs rallied only to….. See it happened again.. PTSD!!

Depends on which Bucs team shows up. I wouldn’t doubt that some of the players already have non-football plans for next weekend.

To see the look on the Jone’s faces losing to the Bucs again would be priceless.

Have Todd Blowes and Bymron Leftardwich been locked in a safe somewhere until Tuesday? We have a chance if this is the case.

I’m worried about the old bromide about how tough it is to be a good team 3X in a row.

Dallas is beatable. Pray for Seahawks and Giants.

Maybe in his second year he will become as good a Head Coach as he is a DC? That would be really HOT! He has a long way to go but he has a chance.
