“I Didn’t See It Coming At All”

Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett speaks out.

Lots of mixed emotions at One Buc Palace today.

Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett joined SiriusXM NFL Radio this morning to talk about the resignation of Bucco Bruce Arians and the promotion of Todd Bowles from defensive coordinator to head coach.

Shaq was stunned to learn the news last night, he said, and he quickly talked to his agent, oily Drew Rosenhaus, about the change. Per Shaq, he and Rosenhaus speculated that Arians just felt it was his best time to walk away and wanted to hand off the job on his terms. Shaq said he is happy Arians will stay with the Bucs in a consultant role but it’ll be “hard to get used to” not being around Arians daily. He called Arians “a great person to be around.”

However, Shaq is a huge Bowles fan and is excited for his “brilliant” defensive coordinator.

Asked how the team will be affected, Shaq said he couldn’t answer because he doesn’t know what Bowles wants to change, and Shaq does expect minor changes. He also is very curious to see who is named the new defensive coordinator and how the daily processes are adjusted.

Bowles was head coach of the Jets for four seasons and is known for stoicism on the sidelines and in general. Shaq was asked what it will be like to not be screamed at this season with Arians gone. “Y’all must don’t know Bowles,” Shaq replied.

Is there another agent other than Rosenhaus??? How in the hell does he up with every professional athlete? “It’s Shaq.” “Shaq who? Shaq Barrett? Shaq Mason? Shaquille O’ Neal?” GOAT of sports agents.

  2. Lamarcus Says:

I see why now NE kicked Brady out of there. But there’s a difference in Top Flight NFL organizations and bottom feeders. This is a bottom feeding move here. Brady looks uncoachable at this point. Next year, Bowles is out of here depending on how Brady feels. Crazy

  3. Proud Bucs Fan Says:

For the rubes that still don’t understand. This was a text book example of a power move. Brady just ended Bruce’s career, then Brady PR team wrote his obituary to permanently bury him.

    Power move indeed.

  4. Pewter Power Says:

Y’all crazy to keep saying a football player punks nfl coaches and decides their fate even one names Brady and at his age knowing he will soon retire. This ain’t the NBA get a clue. Who the hell 70 old would quit their job because their employee said so? For Todd Bowles it’s a dream for a coach but he’ll let somebody that’s about to retire get him fired? Better smarter

  5. Mikejp Says:

Lamarcus, it is funny that many fans do not understand the logic. You can not shout at your kids when they become adults. I don’t think there is a nicer Goat than Tom who still let his coach shout at him after a bad play.

  6. NCBucfan Says:

Brady created the highest high of Arians career, and now he created the lowest low of Arians career. Wow!!

  7. William Walls Says:

Lamarcus, you should fire your mental health professional. They’re not helping you.

  8. NCBucfan Says:

Dirk koetter with Jameis got the Bucs to 9-7 and right on the door step of the playoffs in 2016. Arians with Jameis went 7-9. Who got more out of Jameis again? Arians quote when he was hired, “with Jameis we can win the whole damn thing”. Lol

  9. Bird Says:

    No doubt

Lamarcus is the biggest dumb dumb on here
    Mr never cant get right
An mri literally wouldnt find a brain

  10. JByrd Says:

I saw a report: Larry Foote, Kacy Rodgers likely to be co-defensive coordinators for Bucs

  11. Bird Says:

Yah. Brady got rid of arians to be replaced by bowles
    Remember the rams ending?
    😂

    We have the worst fans
    😂

  12. William Walls Says:

I think it’ll likely be Kacy.

  13. Joe Says:

Who got more out of Jameis again?

    Arians.

Jameis led the league in passing in 2019 under Arians, and that was without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin the final two games.

  14. NCBucfan Says:

Joe, he also got the most turnovers out of Jameis as well. Congrats to him.

  15. Ash Says:

Its kacy and foote co-dc super weird dunno why they couldn’t name one or the other.

  16. Listnfrmafar Says:

Joe did he throw 30 ints under Dirk? Yards are easy when the offense is chuck it and duck. Lamarcus, Brady left NE because Belichick didn’t want to pay him. Brady asked for 2yrs $25mil same as Brees. Belichick call his so called bluff and offered him $14mil for 1yr. Brady would of retired a Patriot if his offer was excepted. FYI, there are a LOT of disgruntled ex-patriots because Belichick would pay them. Right now Belichick is experiencing a little dose of karma.

    Thanks Barrett, Me too!!! 🥺

  18. Steven007 Says:

NC, And one of the strengths of Bruce was knowing when to run and cut bait. He saw in Winston what many other saw. Then he saw what we all saw in their one year together. He learned from that and made a change. That’s exactly the way it should be.

  19. NCBucfan Says:

007, cut bait? No, the GOAT fell right into his lap and getting rid of Jameis was convienent for him.

  20. GoatWatcher Says:

Threre are some idiotic takes here. You folks don’t know. Brady came back because he talked it out with his family and realized he still had elite skills and wanted to play (in a soft division and conference), and BA retired because he’s 70, not in great health, and it’s good for the league to pass the clipboard to Bowles and not bad for the Bucs. I don’t know either, but unless you’re hanging out with Brady, and he lets you in on his thinking, you don’t know either.

  21. Tom G Says:

I don’t buy all the conspiricey theories. It has been Quite the off season so far, though. I hope there are no more bombs unless it’s announcement for signing a top free agent.

  22. Buc1987 Says:

Listnfrmafar…spoken like a well known Pats fan trapped on a Bucs site.

  23. Listnfrmafar Says:

Oh my God, get off the nipple you Buc fans, this cannot be any more obvious. Look at how this all played out. You all can’t be that stupid. BA didn’t have his shat buttoned up and Brady is 100% the opposite, he was doing BA’s job and it drove him crazy. He took it on in 2020 because the team needed a new culture and structure, BA didn’t support it so Brady said FU. The rest is simple, Brady leaves Bucs lose and revenue goes to shat. It can’t get any simpler than that. Wake Up!!! The rest is all saving face for the organization.

  24. Ash Says:

Can you go back to the Patriots fansite please take that toxic energy elsewhere

  25. stpetebucsfan Says:

“Is there another agent other than Rosenhaus???”

Rosenhaus is probably at the top of the super agent list…maybe a couple more.

When you control so much talent it makes the owners respect if not fear you.

Yeah it would be violating his Fiduciary responsibility if he used one clients clout to get more bucks for another client but it’s pretty apparent the owners are not too quick to piss off Drew because he has too much power over too many of their money earners.

Just realized we got 2 Shaqs on our team
