Bruce Arians Has No Interest In Odell Beckham

November 10th, 2021

Not coming.

So with cancerous wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. clearing waivers after whining maneuvering his way off the Browns roster, he is a free bird.

That means Beckham can sign with anyone that will have him.

Last week several national reports linked him to the Bucs, at least as a fit for the Bucs. Today, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians threw cold water on any fan wanting the troublesome receiver.

Arians was point blank asked if the Bucs were involved in the sweepstakes. He started chuckling.

“No,” Arians said with a smile. Beckham’s acronym has “too. too many letters. I already have ‘AB.’ I don’t need ‘OBJ.'”

Arians also briefly spoke about the receiver the Bucs did sign yesterday, and that was former Bucs receiver Breshad Perriman, who had his best season in the NFL playing for Arians and Tampa Bay in 2019.

The Bucs signed Perriman, per Arians, for “insurance” and for basically what Beckham is known for and what furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing Antonio Brown brings to the table: taking the top off a defense with speed.

Arians suggeted Perriman is a good fit, not just because he knows the offense, but because Bucs coaches know him as well.

    Need him now w/ #1 & #2 WR’s ailing (AB & Godwin)

Yeah he said the same thing for AB a year and so ago.
this arrogant thinker, will think different if he goes to Saints…
We going to Washington with ME13 only, and some not very good TEs….
Will see how is going to work for him with Perriman.

What fouecking idiots think OBJ would be anything more than a cancer? This idea is just obnoxious.

  4. SB Says:

    Up your meds Pete

  5. Rod Munch Says:

So Godwin, AB and Gronk are down — and people are saying we don’t need this, don’t need that…

    Loser mentality.

Sooner or later all the injuried players will come back. It’s very unfortunate that, for example, 5 CBs went out injuried, but that doesn’t mean we should have 15 CBs on the squad. That goes also for WRs. Johnson is a better receiver than the 2nd WR on most of the teams. The others are also pretty good. No worries about injuries. The main thing that worries me are penalties.

Are we forgetting about Mr. Evan’s-get him the ball please…..

    ^^^^^^^
Agreed, I believe Tyler Johnson is currently a better football player than OBJ.

Okay, I’ll take the bait…What makes OBJ better than Tyler Johnson?

  10. FirstTimePoster Says:

Bruce Arians had no interest in Antonio Brown either.

  11. Jerry R Jones Says:

Tyler, Darden and Scotty will fill in just fine.

  12. Ben green Says:

He’s not going to Tampa. If Ben’s sources are correct, he met with belichick at a bar in Boston. Jones needs a number one reciever, who can get open. OBJ isn’t Ben’s favorite reciever, but many a miscreant have been revitalized in New England, under bill’s tutelage. Now he did draft and pay a dust head murderer, but OBJ’ best chance for redemption is with the Patriots

  13. Adrnagy Says:

Perriman is insurance for AB / scotty.

Godwin foot injury is concerning. We need insurance = obj

  14. TonyBuc Says:

You can weed out the wise fans from the not wise fans with OBJ. The ones thinking the Bucs should sign him are the ones we should never listen to. Never.

  15. Jerry Says:

Don’t count out the Patriots as a potential landing spot. The Pats are now back in the division race now that Buffalo is in a funk.

The Saints make sense too because they are desperate for a receiver. But not sure how they would pay him. Their cap situation is very bad.

  16. Swampbuc Says:

I’d like to know why Perriman has crashed and burned so bad after leaving the Bucs.

  17. Bucs Win Says:

I’m not sure if some of you people even watch football. OBJ sucks now and he has since 2014.

  18. JimmyJack Says:

He probably wouldnt come here even if the Bucs wanted him. He for sure still thinks hes a #1 WR, I dont see him wanting to come to Tampa Bay and be a #4 in a few weeks when we are healthy.

    Thank you baby Jesus

    @BEN Green

Ben’s sources haven’t been correct yet, so you should probably stop referencing them.
