Mike Evans talks to Joe
Rain was pounding at times today during practice at One Buc Palace, and Mike Evans talked to Joe about loving nearly every minute of it.
The Buccaneers’ new indoor practice facility is under construction behind the fields, but Evans isn’t longing to get indoors.
“One of my worst games ever, it rained. Two years ago against the Giants I broke the record, or some sh**, for drops. And it was raining when I dropped four of those balls, so I want to get better at that,” Evans said.
“And the rain helped me last year; last year we had a lot of wet practices. Against the Broncos, I had a couple of passes when it was soaking wet in the rain, and I learned how to play through that. It rains a lot in Tampa and it should be an advantage for us when other teams come. I’m glad we had the rains this week. I like it. It’s also cooler, and I like not losing as much energy in practice. I can bring more all the way through it.”
Great stuff from Evans. And Joe always appreciates private time with the Bucs’ No. 1 target.

Best thing to happen to Evans was the ejection during the 2015 finale. He did a 180 with the whining and arguing. He is a monster!

I said it before we drafted him and I am glad it came true. Mike Evans will be one of the best WRs in the NFL!!!
