Flexing To Sunday Night Football?
November 28th, 2016As listeners will hear tomorrow in the latest Ira Kaufman Podcast that Ira cut with Joe right after the win over the Seahawks last night, Joe discusses the likelihood of the Bucs and Cowboys game flexing to Sunday Night Football in prime time for all the nation to enjoy in three weeks.
It seems an NFL insider thinks it is a done deal.
Charean Williams, long-time NFL beat writer who currently covers the Cowboys for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, thinks there is no debate on when the Bucs-Cowboys game will kick off. She thinks it is all but decided that the game will be in prime time.
@NFLCharean: If the Bucs’ lead holds here, you can bet the Cowboys-Bucs game will be flexed to NBC. Would mean three prime-time games in a row for Dallas
Joe knows how TV producers and executives think. All they care about are eyeballs, nothing else. The Bucs barely draw moths to a national TV audience. But that was when the Bucs stunk. Now, at worst, they will be 6-7 when they travel to Jerry’s World. Much better if they are 7-6 or 8-5.
The Cowboys draw eyeballs, period. NBC would have a sizable audience if the Cowboys played the Browns or an exhibition against Indian Rocks Christian High School. So with the Bucs challenging for a playoff run guided by America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, and featuring Mike Evans, Joe could see this happening as Joe said in the podcast.
Still, Joe has doubts. We shall see. But Joe does trust what Williams types.

Did two very good football teams in the Chiefs and Seahawks look past a Bucs team that is playing some good football suddenly or are the Bucs for real? We will know that answer if they find a way to beat the Chargers and Saints over the next two weeks. If miraculously they are 8-5 walking into Dallas there is a very good chance they walk out of there with their 9th win.
Bucs control their own destiny and need treat each game week like a playoff.

Jameis draws eyeballs. Hell absolutely torch that dallas Defense in a primetime game. That man lives for those types of moments.
