Throughout today, Joe will bring you reactions of various players discussing the stunning 20-yard run by America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston. It kept the final drive alive that ended in a game-winning touchdown. Yesterday’s run by Jameis may have saved the Bucs’ season, as they enter their final four games very much in the hunt for a wild card berth.

“I think we all know it is pretty legendary. I think it is legendary. I think that play right there is legendary. What, third-and-20? Freaking looking like he is Michael Vick out there. The guy runs a 5.1 (40-yard dash) and he gets through it?

“You know, [Jameis] is just a football player, at the end of the day. He’s an amazing football player. He does legendary things on a daily basis.”

After seeing that “legendary” run, I just said, out loud and to no one. I LOVE THAT GUY! We hit the jackpot when we drafted Jameis.

Trust me on this……Evans & ASJ will be Winston’s “go-to” receivers for years to come…..
Get on their backs if you wish…..but you will eventually be proven wrong….they are both monsters and Winston loves them.

Speaking of monsters….I have never seen a player play harder than Doug Martin…he absolutely pounds the rock…..I think his fumbles are sometimes caused by the extra yards he gets…and have you notices there always seems to be several opponents trying to take him down?

I was as the game yesterday. I will never forget that play. It’s been years since I’ve been to a Bucs home game at Raymond James where they won. The last one was when Matt Bryant kicked that 62 yard FG to beat the Eagles.

    Yes, I’ve been that unlucky.

    Complete agree TBBF

And noone runs harder than Dougie this year.

Guy is a little monster. Love it.

That play will be remembered forever as one part of the growing Fameis legend.

    It will simply be…”The run!!”

I can now scratch off the list a franchise QB for Christmas. Already been specially delivered.

But he only runs a 4.9 – in the 40… He is too slow footed…

How can he scramble so well with those little “crab legs”…

Come on Winston haters where in the hell are you now?

Jake Plummer for years was considered the msot mobile NFL QB…and he ran a 4.87. Bruce Gradkowski wasn’t completely immobil, but he ran a 4.59 at the Combine… 40 times aren’t the end all, be all of QB mobility. Josh Freeman never ran better than a 4.90 and he was all kinds of mobile. The problem with Jameis is his lower body explosion, he has a terrible start, but once he gets going he is plenty fast enough. I can definitely see his mobility improving down the road as he devotes more of a his offseason to getting stronger, especially in the lower body, and he becomes more explosive both as a runner and thrower.
