New Bucs LB Kwon Alexander confessed he doesn’t know of Bucs stud Lavonte David.

It seems new Bucs LB Kwon Alexander is going to get one helluva education when he arrives at One Buc Palace to get ready for rookie minicamp next week.

In a conference call with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club just after his selection by the Bucs in the fourth round today, Alexander said he was of the impression he was being slotted for the weakside lnebacker spot and confessed he neither watched the Bucs or knew of Lavonte David.

“No, man, I didn’t watch football like that,” Alexander said when asked specifically if he knew David or had watched the Bucs at all on TV. “I just played. I wasn’t into watching it on TV. I don’t know any of the [Bucs] players except my former [LSU] teammate, [Russell] Shepard.”

Whoops!

Son, Joe has an idea you may just want to watch a tape of the Bucs, and specifically David wreak havoc on offenses.

Joe smells this guy getting taped to the goal post pretty quickly.

    He’s joking right?

    Lovies hand pick guy…..

  4. R.O. Says:

They traded up and jumped the Cowboys. Cowboys need LBs. If you noticed they picked a LB at their pick. We play basically the same scheme. If we wanted him you go get him. 7th rounder most likely isn’t making the team. Practice squad at most.

    Sad. He better learn today!

  6. Dan Says:

Joe gonna retract the two fifth round picks claim yet?

Kid is at least honest…..didn’t try to BS his way out of it……my hope is that Kwon is LVD junior…….

  8. BucinNC Says:

Don’t we need a proven mike? Bruce carter has never played there, Danny is better suited for the outside. We have no mike that can truly play the way lovie needs to run his defense effectively.

  9. Arealbucsfan Says:

@BucinNC Bruce has played the MIKE position. And has the skill set to succeed. He jus has to stay healthy and learn the position better. Im a little weary on him yes, but still. The only ILB i wanted was taken in the 1st.

Taiwan Jones as tweener LB/DE. 1.56 10 yard split, 6’3″ 256 llbs, was a great blitzer at Michigan State

  11. Abilu Says:

Who cares? Do you honestly expect this kid to watch every NFL game on TV? That’s just nonsensical…

Btw, so you guys know, Alexander is also Ali Marpets first name.
