Dolphins 25, Bucs 23

Joe had more computer problems so fourth quarter notes will be short. Please stay tuned for more coverage from Joe on this near-win by the Bucs.

Great job of the Bucs to come back. In short, the Bucs got hosed by that horrible, horrible call late in the first half.

Quincy Black gave the Bucs the chance to win with the best play of his career and showed that he actually was on the field.

On the sad note, aside from the loss, the Bucs need a new safety. Piscitelli almost every series either got fried, tackled poorly or did something stupid. He is easily the weakest link on this team.

Props to the Bucs for coming back. Freeman looked strong in the rally. This one has given Joe a bitter taste in his mouth.

    Horrible call. Absolutely horrible.
Does Sabby just need more game experience? Put in Lynch.

  2. Fredrick Says:

Talib and Jackson definitely, and maybe Barber, are keepers, everyone else on the defense can and should be upgraded.

Now pray for the Bears to keep losing, we know we will, and secure three of the first 45 or so picks in the draft, and GO ALL DEFENSE!

    GOOD GRIEF!

This scheme Bates is running is getting old. We keep hearing “Well he doesn’t have the players to fit his scheme” THEN FIT THE SCHEME TO YOUR PLAYERS. Good coaches make adjustment, this defense hasn’t held an opponent to under 20 points all season (I’m pretty sure, but in my rage right now I might forget if we have).

The Dolphins had to come from their own 15 to win it, we give up a good chunk on a pass with some missed tackles and then a pass interference. We crowd the line an most of the defense misses Ricky Williams. We need to boot Bates and the “playbook” he got when he pre-ordered his copy of Madden NFL ’10 that he’s using to call defensive plays.

I’ve been a Dolphins fan since ’72 and a Bucs fan since ’99 but I found myself SOOOO routing for the Bucs in this one.(Well, ‘wth’, I never liked Parcells anyhow) They(the Bucs) deserved this win. Their lack of tackling on the final drive killed them. But we do see: HOPE…smile

  5. BigMacAttack Says:

Yea, worst officiating I’ve seen. Wow, were the Zebras betting on the game? is this the NBA? Several Holding penalties by the dolphins were overlooked and not called. The first half BS, but really Clayton should have held on to the ball. Clayton sucks and he gave them the opportunity to screw us. Cut him loose with Sabby. Stoval makes a great play and then drops the one right in his hands. On the last drive 1’st and goal at the one, they should have just ran and sopped at the one for 2 plays to run the clock and use up Miami’s last TO, but still a TD is a TD and the Bucs deserve a lot of credit for this comeback eeven if they lost. Good Job Bucs.

first, well game for the team, showing passion, we lose thx for a fcking zebra!!but we are showing than be would be better day to day, the draft, easy choice…ERIC BERRY!!!! he and tanard would be awesome!! no more piscitelli!!!! ndamukong suh would be great like a DT, but i guess more DT can be available in second round!!! if we get roy miller in third round, why we cant get a huge DT in second??? hey dom, pick eric berry!!!! in free agency a new toy for freeman, and with a lot of work, the ol should be better, i have a lot of faith!!! GO BUCS!!

  7. Fredrick Says:

At least it looks like the Buc’s have the most important and hardest thing to find, that being a QB who can make plays, and they have some high draft picks coming, but ownership has to come off their fat wallets and help fill some of the HUGE holes on defense and WR or we will see a lot more games like this next year.

  8. Bucked up Says:

There is no way to deny that Freeman is really showing some promise or should I say giving us hope.
Dallass wouldnt have had that bad of a call go against them and if they had you can bet they would have given it more air time on BSPN.Perils of a losing season I guess.
Ruud came up with a great play that went for negative yardage in the fourth quarter to keep the game in our sights. What was that guy saying about Ruud?
Once again the defense in the fourth quarter just doesnt have the bite it needs to keep a game in their pocket and put away an opponent. That seems to be an ongoing issue. Is it conditioning? Bates? The Scheme?
At least it was entertaining, kind of looking forward to N.O.next week.
Oh yea and the refs really sucked. Too bad the monitors they used were clearly HD. Cant use the same excuse the SEC refs have.

  9. JK Says:

I don’t know how many times I’ve said it. Sabby is special teams player at best. He must have someone he knows working in the front office of the Bucs.

  10. Joe Says:

    JK:

Joe has written this before, but everybody and his brother tried to compare him to John Lynch because, like Lynch, he played in the Pac 10, grew up in an upscale, uppercrust community and, more importantly, is white.

  11. Louie Says:

Maybe we can trade Sabby to Chicago for a 3rd round pick.
