Joes/Tom, Kudos for continuing to produce and post this excellent podcast. The Bolts are having a phenomenal season, maybe even a historic one. Hell yes, I want another cup- but at the same time, understanding the deep-dark hole this franchise has lived in for a good part of its existence, I’m just going to enjoy the ride!

That being said, I can’t help but wonder if there’s any scuttlebutt out there on Cooper’s contract/extension?!?!? What’s the delay here? This has gotta be a no-brainer, right? Don’t hesitate. Don’t wait. Sign and pay the man!

Your analysis is right on, Tom. The rules seem to change when playoff time rolls around. The Lightning are not going to get the same calls they are getting now. The league has a definite idea on what a Stanley Cup champion team should look like on the ice, and maybe in their minds that’s not the Lightning.

I still like Tyler Johnson’s game, although his roll seems to have change this year. When he was part of the “Triplets” he was the one getting the final pass for the shot. Now the final pass comes ‘from’ him, to guys like Stamkos or Kucherov.

Frank, coach Cooper has one more hurdle to jump. Win the Cup.
