Offensive Line Came To Play

Ali Marpet and the offensive line only real bright spot today.

Way too many Bucs players showed up in Arizona it seems to play golf and chase scantily-clad babes in the desert heat.

The offensive line came to play.

There is nearly a limitless supply of fingers to be pointed — including at America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston (did leaky, sleepy Josh Freeman kidnap Jameis and wear his uniform?).

The offensive line sure seemed to treat this road trip as a business trip. With the Cardinals all but announcing on the record they were going to throw the kitchen sink at Jameis, the second-year quarterback had all day to throw for much of the game.

So last week when the offensive line kept Jameis’ jersey clean, it was because the pass rush of the Dixie Chicks was so non-existent. This week? Hope folks come up with a better excuse.

How about this: Perhaps, just perhaps, the Bucs’ offensive line is one of the best in the NFL? Remember, this line returns virtually in tact from the offensive line last year that had the fourth-fewest sacks?

The only change in the line is Kevin Pamphile, who was Logan Mankins’ backup now starting at left guard.

There were few things — maybe, only one thing — positive to take away from today’s beat down. And that would be the offensive line of the Bucs.

Kudos to Donovan Smith. No pressures thru 2 games. He gets my game ball.

Dont fret, Bucs fans. We still have room to gel, but weven aree no longer a team to simply give up on contests.

Yeah the OL played great. And if we’re looking for bright spots I’ve been very happy with Anger so far.
