It seems to be such common knowledge from NFL insiders outside the inner-workings of One Buc Palace that the Bucs will take Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston with the No. 1 overall pick on April 30.
You never hear about teams trading up for Winston. It’s as if Winston is off-limits, untouchable. Almost like the Bucs have him locked into a secret pact. [read more]

Yesterday at the NFL Owners Meetings in Phoenix, Jason Licht held court and mentioned to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times he knew where “holes” were in the roster and wasn’t sweating a quick fix when Stroud asked him about the porous offensive line. [read more]

Not only did the Bucs lose many millions on Ghost Johnson, the Bengals re-signed him and were awarded a pick for losing him.
Joe doesn’t know what to make of former defensive end Ghost Johnson. Oh, he had heart, that is for sure. Johnson was injured and still made it back onto the football field for the Bucs. [read more]

Kaufman of The Tampa Tribune while at the NFL Owners Meetings in Phoenix — Joe touched down in the Valley of the Sun last night! — general manager Jason Licht did the NFL equivalent of falling on his own sword, suggesting the Karlos Pena-like swings and misses in free agency were his doing.
