Bucs coach Todd Bowles said he has no updates on injuries to four key Bucs starters, Lavonte David, Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean and Tristan Wirfs.

This is why Joe is optimistic about the Bucs finding a way to win the NFC South with seven games to play for the three teams still in contention: Tampa Bay and Atlanta at 4-6 and the division leading slimy Saints at 5-5. [read more]

So the third quarter wasn’t even finished today and the 49ers had 315 yards passing and 83 yards rushing on the Buccaneers, and they had 27 points and a big lead in time of possession. [read more]

The Bucs showed plenty of life and lots of sporadic fight today, but it wasn’t nearly enough and the lack of consistency is maddening.

Now the Bucs are 4-6, tied with the Falcons and one full game behind the slimy Saints (5-5) in the chase for the NFC South crown.
