A Jason Pierre-Paul Return Is Not Off The Table

March 30th, 2026

Somewhat lost in the horrific end to the 2025 Bucs season was iconic edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul’s return at 36 years old — after a year out of football — for Tampa Bay’s final three games.

Today in Phoenix, Joe asked Todd Bowles about JPP’s 38 snaps last season and if he’s on or off the teams’ radar for 2026. Bowles had nothing but love for JPP’s performance and said JPP is not off the Bucs’ radar. Enjoy the rare JoeBucsFan YouTube video below of Bowles’ response.

    I’m skipping this thread 🥱

  4. Hodad Says:

I couldn’t watch the clip. I thought for sure the Bowles nightmare would end with our disaster of a season. I’ve liked some of the signings, and looking forward to the draft. But everytime Bowles opens his mouth I’m reminded the nightmare is only beginning again.

  5. Stallworth Says:

We have an 7 win season ahead of us boys! Cheers! With no pass rush again this year with Ben Morrison and Zyon McCollum as the starting CB’s. This team is cooked!

  6. Anyhony Says:

Do any of you remember what it was like before Bowles and Arians were here. Careful what you wish for!!!

  7. buc4evr Says:

Sure why not, bring Reddick back also. How about Suh ? Talk about desperation and the season hasn’t even started. Next year the Bucs will likely be in the top 5 in the draft. I mean it’s sad that the Bucs can’t free themselves from the same mistakes every year.

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I would love JPP back…on coaching staff. Still, I suppose as depth, he could be useful. Deep depth.

  9. Winny Testaverde Says:

What an awful idea…yet on “Bowles ( and Bright Licht ) brand.” JPP is approaching 10 years past his prime…and was knocked to the ground repeatedly when he did play last season.

Hanging on to faded glory is a bad look.

I doubt that. We either bomb with about 3 wins, or me make the playoffs and win the division.

We barely missed the playoffs for the first time last year.

  11. JimBobBuc Says:

Sure, why not bring back JPP, Suh, Rice, Sapp, ….

Maybe as coaches or at least mentors?

  12. MelvinJunior Says:

Ohhhh, no… He got himself just a lil enough of a taste last season to now have the fever. Just STOP IT. Please,

  13. 3rd and 28 in the Canoe Says:

After we have fallen flat and lost a bunch of games – we can bring JPP back for his juice. I’m sure some juice will fix this train wreck.

  14. Larrd Says:

This story makes me feel like the Jets fans probably feel with the return of Geno Smith. Hopeless, dejected, etc etc.

  15. gotbbucs Says:

Why not waste a roster spot on a washed up DE? What’s Mean Joe Greene up to these days?

  16. gotbbucs Says:

Dig up the corpse of Alex Karras while we’re at it and give Mongo another chance.

  17. JA Says:

“Mongo just pawn in game of life.”

  18. PewterStiffArm Says:

They better not even consider this craziness.

  19. Get-Rid-of-Licht Says:
