GameDay Tampa Bay
October 5th, 2025
Game 5
Bucs (3-1) at Seahawks (3-1)
Kickoff: 4:05 p.m.
TV: CBS (WTSP-TV Channel 10, locally) with hollerin’ Kevin Harlan, Gracie Hunt‘s father-in-law Trent Green and Melanie Collins. For a national TV map of where the game will be broadcast, click here.
Streaming: Paramount+, NFL+. (Geographic restrictions may apply; subscription may be required).
Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa). Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 387 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed).
Weather: Holy smokes, sunny in Seattle? That’s what the weatherman says by way of AccuWeather.com. Joe got here Friday and it was a beautiful day. This place is really nice if the sun comes out. It should be close to a great day for football if you like slightly chilly weather. Tailgaters will deal with temperatures in the high-50s. Once kickoff happens, look for it to be 62. Temperatures should rise to 64 by game’s end and remain sunny. This city looks like someone dropped a city into the middle of a hilly forest with the trees stretching all the way to the waterfront of the many canals and bays and coves in the region. But man, if the sun is not out, it sure is gloomy.
Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Saturday, Bucs +3.5 (+115); over/under 44.5.
Referees: Craig Wrolstad and his gang will work today’s game. This guy is about as fair as fair can be. Since 2016, games in which Wrolstad’s outfit has worked, home team vs. road team are 63-63. Wrolstad and his posse have been flag-happy this year, averaging 16 penalties a game.
Injuries: Bucs — Out: CB Jamel Dean (hip), WR Mike Evans (hamstring), RB Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder), S Christian Izien (quad), CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring). Questionable: K Chase McLaughlin (illness). Seahawks — Out T Josh Jones (ankle), DL DeMarcus Lawrence (quad), S Julian Love (hamstring), CB Devon Witherspoon (knee). (The NFL does not include players on injury reports who are not on a team’s active 53-man roster. Players on injured reserve or the practice squad are not on a team’s active 53-man roster.)
Outlook: While the Bucs don’t have Mike Evans or Bucky Irving, the Seahawks don’t have two of their best defensive backs. Joe wonders if going to the air targeting Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin is the way to go? The Bucs, believe it or not, run the ball better than Seattle. The difference? Seattle stubbornly runs and runs and runs the ball but production is a different thing. The Bucs have been very stingy against the run. The Bucs just put some points on the board in the first quarter. Seattle is very good at that and it’s a big reason why they have won three in a row. It’s a split decision at JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters. Ira Kaufman calls a Bucs victory, as does one of the Joes but not the Joe typing here.
Fun facts: The home team in this matchup has won seven of the last eight games. … QB Baker Mayfield has at least two touchdown passes in each of his last four road games. … The last time the Bucs played the Seahawks was in 2022 at Munich. There, RB Rachaad White may have had his best game running the ball racking up 105 yards on 22 carries and a vicious stiff arm, which will likely be the highlight of his career. … WR Emeka Egbuka leads all rookies with 282 receiving yards and four touchdown catches. … OLB Haason Reddick has a tackle for loss in three of his last four games. … OLB Anthony Nelson had eight tackles and a tackle for loss last week. … S Tykee Smith had eight tacles and two passes defensed in the loss to the Eagles. … Seahawks QB Sam Darnold passed for 242 yards and a touchdown without a pick last week. … RB Kenneth Walker had 110 scrimmage yards (81 rushing, 29 receiving) in Week 4. … WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had four catches and 90 scrimmage yards last week. … WR Cooper Kupp needs 62 receiving yards to reach 8,000 for his career. … DT Leonard Williams is looking for his fourth-straight game with at least a half-sack. … Last week against the Cardinals LB Uchenna Nwosu had two sacks.
5️⃣0️⃣ seasons in the making… The uniform matchup we've all been waiting for is finally here 🤩

The weather sounds great! Love it! Remembering those gloomy and chilly days. Good football weather for the Bucs. Excellent fun facts on our side.
Oh Lord on possible flags and penalties on their turf. Hope we don’t see a lot on the Bucs.
Loved the helmet preparation and expansion ball two videos!

Kudo’s Joe – way to dig up that ancient, but beautiful clip from 50 years ago.

I nearly shelled out for Fox One this month…until I looked at the broadcast schedule. For the first time, most of our games are on CBS. I get Paramount+ free with my phone…this has worked out great for me this year.
The few games not on there I’ll listen to Gene.

Bucs Radio diehard here. Thank god, I will be able to get this game. They’ve started blocking night time, prime time ones. Stupid, but I don’t care cos I’m copping Zs by then. Seattle is a gorgeous city, and that is GREAT football weather. C’mon, Tampa Bay!!! Fingers x’ed for 4-1!!

SO WILL WE BE PLAYING AGAINST THE REFS AGAIN THIS GAME ? LOOK AT THAT CRAP THEY NEVER CALLED ALL GAME AGAINST THE EAGLES ! DID BOWLES EVER SAY ANYTHING TO THE NFL IR DID HE JUST SIT ON HIS HANDS AGAIN AND DO NOTHING . WE NEED BOWLES OR GLAZERS TO GO TALK TO THE BIG WIGS IN THE NFL ABOUT YHIS CRAP CALLS . DO SOMETHING ! 😡

Most of the time, penalties are on the players. Doesn’t matter if they call them equally on both teams…if your players play sound football, the refs have nothing to call.
However…that last game was obviously the refs playing favs to the SB champs. They let the Eagles grab facemasks and everything.
We’ll never know if Bowles complained to the NFL…but it won’t matter, because the refs probably have been told to cut the champs a few breaks. Gotta sell those tickets!
